What is the sequel that had the largest drop off in quality from the original.
Pic related: Jaws = 10/10 Jaws 2 = 3/10.

I think a better answer would be the following sequels after 2. 2 was still watchable, but every sequel afterwards was infinitely worse than the one before, ending with one of the worst movies of all time in Revenge.
Caddyshack to Caddyshack 2
Road House to Road House 2
Saturday Night Fever to Staying Alive
I remember excitedly renting Jaws 2 as a kid and hating it. Never saw the other sequels, although I do love Richard Jeni's bit about Jaws 4: The Revenge.
Zoolander to Zoolander 2
Mean Girls to Mean Girls 2
Oh second thought maybe i should have inserted some rules that the sequel must have some of the past cast/director in the same project and not just be an entirely new cast that is completely unrelated to the original in everything but name.
You know it's true.
Star Wars episode III and episode VII
then in that caseā¦
Ginger Snaps to Ginger Snaps 2
Silent Hill to Silent Hill 2
It actually wasn't that bad
The Lost World though not nearly as good was "meh" at least. I wouldn't put it up there.
man of steel - bvs
>Silent Hill to Silent Hill 2
Fuuuuck.
Though I still hate the first one for being a third act infodump at least it was competent in other areas.
Both SH movies were 2/10
Then just subtract Roadhouse 2 with
I think it was just getting tired. We saw the formula they were working with, the shaky cam was getting irritating, and it just felt way too long.
first silent hill is the definition of comfy horror
It would be fine if they didn't call it American Psycho. If it was just a generic horror movie, it would be considered a decent movie, but everyone compares it too the original, and thats not a fair comparison.
Was it ever explained why this poster depicts a woman snow skiing on the ocean?
DELETE THIS
At least isn't as awful as its next sequels.
>cast?
check
>director and or producers?
i could be wrong but I think the sequels were taken over by people who either had nothing to do with
>idendity
or at least had no grasp on what made the original so great
or maybe both
>increase the shaky cam
>upcrease the pacing!
could've at least tried to be creative, but here's some Djibouti shooty fresh n fruity instead
The matrix franchise, there is no other possible answer
Jaws 2 was decent tho
The Lost World was a cool adventure movie, I've watched it almost as many times as the first movie (and I've seen that at least 50 times).
3 wasn't too bad either but World doesn't feel like it's in the same franchise.
...
My exact sentiments towards Jaws 2.
I honestly love The Lost World. It's not great by any means, but it's fun. Plus, Jeff Goldblum is a plus.
Not even close. Pretty much the biggest FUCK YOU in movie form
spoony pls go
Does Ep VI to Ep VII count as a sequel cause TFA was complete shit compared to ROTJ.
This. I hate how they changed Terminator from a horror movie to a action flick/road story/buddy movie.
I enjoyed jaws 2, the sailing made it better for me being that it's what I'm familiar with. That being said I'll probably never watch it again.
Joe Dirt to Joe Dirt 2
Don't hate on the Goldblum. Every line of his made the film fun.
Ding ding ding
Balto 2
Any sequel to a Disney animated film with the possible exception of the rescuers down under
I would call any horror movie that is also described as comfy as a 2/10
Return of Jafar is 10/10 kino
...
I remember liking this.
