Shit forgot to get a name
It mentions in this costume note that Tom Hardy will be playing a bomber pilot (whilst also mentioning in the same paragraph some nazi uniforms being ready)
Now having thoroughly looked through the set photos/videos only one bomber of any sort has appeared, a German Heinkel 111. (an RC model being used so far)
This isn't just for a random scene of the Germans bombing Dunkirk, as their is movie camera-carrying helicopters shooting scenes of it landing, implying it has paticular significance.

My guess is that Tom Hardy will be a German Bombidier who crashes and gets captured by our heroes (possibly playing a similar role to "steamboat Willie" in Saving Private Ryan)

People thought WW2 movies had gotten stale in the 90's.....then Saving Private Tyan and Band of Brothers came out.
Same will happen with Dunkirk

Nah, you have to remember, people were shorter back then.
They built them steps? The faggots couldn't just climb over?
I disagree. In order to reignite the WWII genre, it'll have to be popular. It won't be popular because it doesn't focus on Americans, it takes place before the Americans are in the war, and the "good guys" don't win in this story. I'm not saying it should do any of these things, by the way. WWII had an immense setting and there should be more movies that tell untapped content, but mainstream moviegoers don't seem to go for that.
We can be hopeful that the movie might be wonderful, because of Nolan, but popular? Unlikely.
I'm just glad that, from the set photos, we probably won't have any racial/gender diversity quotas injected into this historical setting.
k
That uniform looks so comfy

Spielberg didn't think Saving Private Ryan would be popular either, because it was gory and a downer. We might be surprised at Dunkirk's success.

Pretty courageous to start a two front war to wipe out the scourge of Communism for sake of all of Europe and her descendants. DESU
