because it's Porco Rosso

...

That's not NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind

The perfect film.
There is not a single Ghibli movie that comes close to it.

You mistyped Mononoke Hime. That's okay tho everyone makes mistakes.

>The perfect film.
You mean Amadeus

That's not Kaguya

Thats not Howls

Pom Poko, tard

because it's Only Yesterday

PORCO ROSSO.

I really need to see this one again. I believe it's been nearly 10 years.

the feels will hit harder.

...

I wanna say Mononoke, although its the casual's choice. I havent yet seen an anime movie that beats it, except perhaps Ninja scroll or Vampire hunter D 2000.

i saw the dub of this and didn't like it because i thought the voice acting was not good. is it worth watching the sub

k-on movie

Kiki's Delivery Service because I watched it as a kid.
Or Spirited Away that made me feel like one again.

These are both so similar that I think they're practically interchangeable
So you're both right.

Dubs are always garbage user, why would you subject yourself to that?

Howl's objectively. Spirited Away almost if you're a raging sentimentalist.

If you can tolerate Anno's voice acting. I didn't like it at all. It was really distracting.

That said, great film.

That's not The Wind Rises

Fuck no. This was incredibly difficult to watch. Just flat out boring. Characters were totally flat, but without the usual imaginative Miyazaki world behind it to act as a lively backdrop

>Yui Hirasawa, Mio Akiyama, Tsumugi Kotobuki, Ritsu Tainaka, and Azusa Nakano will visit famous landmarks, perform live music for Londoners, and eat all sorts of delicious food, all while stumbling clumsily from place to place. But the fun won't last forever, as heartfelt songs and goodbyes will be made as their high school days together come to a close

I dont think we're speaking the same language here, user.

Weebo shit

it was in a theater so i didn't really have a choice. ghibli dubs are usually good though, i just didn't think that one was

>Everyone itt assuming Ghibli = Miyazaki
Plebs, the lot of you

wat it's perfect
and all men are brothers

why does every ghibli movie involve one of the characters being sexually frustrated by a young girl

This is the one where they're building a space ship right? That one was neat actually. The webm doesnt really represent the movie though.

Because Miyazaki is a legit closet pedo and feminist.

Try the Patlabor movies then.
Or Jin-Roh
Or Perfect Blue
Or My Conquest is the Sea of Stars

Any one of those should satisfy your ADD riddled brain
I should know

No, it doesnt, but it does represent the quality of animation in said movie.

>I literally can't into movies that don't have yokai flim flamming all over the place

Spirited Away is quite possible the greatest children's movie ever made. It's thematic depth, dialogue and narrative surpass anything Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks can ever hope to achieve.

The Wind Rises is simply the better film. It's got fantastic elements, surrealism, tragedy, and plenty of humor and witty dialogue.

i really did not like that the QT got turned into obasan so early...

> tfw you will never live your youth in early 90's Japan

Perfect Blue was pretty great actually. The other ones I havent seen. Will definitely check them out though, I just realised yesterday how starved Ive been for good animu.

Life lesson to show that true beauty lies within. At least she got Nisioed at the end.

or k-on movie

ritsu is twubble

thanks for specifying which movie, bro

>tfw never save humanity with j-pop

Normally I'd be the first to agree with you when someone criticizes a movie for being boring, but holy shit no. Not this time user.
Like I said, it's not the lack of fantastic elements that turned me off. It's that, like many of Miyazakais protagonists, Joseph Gordon Levitt was as flat as the paper he was drawn on.
The difference between this and other movies of Miyazakis is
a) interesting cast of characters supporting the MC
b) interesting backdrop
c) immersive world
d) great production values (animation/music)

Wind Rises just didnt have enough of these to make up for its flaws.
I certainly welcome you to change my mind though; I genuinely wanted to like this movie

wings of honeymayonaise

only a tiny part of it is the cool raiden fighters shit though...

Sounds like Im gonna need a few beers for that one.

...although I did enjoy Kikkis delivery service. It was sweet.

Oh hey I watched this after Sup Forums recommended it
It was neat.

My favourite is actually Kiki's Delivery Service. Bet you can't guess why.

2 8balls in

>Pic related

>Perfect Blue was pretty great actually
If you liked that then you'd probably love just about every other movie by the same director. He only made a handful before he died, sadly, so its not a big list to go through, and there's not a single one that's less than 8/10.

Contextual cues lead me to believe this is from Macross, but I don't recall anything like this happening.
Refresh my memory?

The best one is where they collaborated with Gundam.

Bluray when?

They're all good shit.

this the wind rises is the worst

I was falling asleep. There's supposed to be this inner conflict in the dude about building planes for killing people but we never see shit about it for more than 5 minutes and at the end hes like "well i like planes so i dont give a fuck about what they're used for" tied to a sob story about his wife dying

lame movie

>Joseph Gordon Levitt
>he watched the dub
You know you fucked up, right?

She killed millions.

Yes, I do.
But my life mistakes have no bearing on the validity of my points

fuckin max rips this zentradi dude out of his battle pod in "Do You Remember Love?" and puts a round through his head like all in one motion. it happens pretty fast.

i thought i had a webm...but nope.

...

>nobody has said Grave of the Fireflies.

Well fuck you guys, I thought it was good.

Bluray is already out in Japan. We just gonna wait till Rightstuf plans to bring it to USA.

Also Turn A Gundam isn't a Ghibli joint btw. I'm just messing around here. :^)

Whats Steamboy like?

>DYRL
Fuck, of course. Yeah now I remember. I even recall trying to freeze it on that exact frame.
I think I almost cried during that Do You Remember Love song sequence

>when all the little kids chase her in the end

T b h pham i personally think this movie is overrated. I didnt feel the sadness it was trying to convey, or at least what so many people were claiming it to be

>Grave of the Fireflies
It's incredibly impactful, but I have trouble with saying something is the best when it made me bawl my eyes out like a little bitch.
Probably a pride thing.

the childhood flashbacks were GOAT,
but the present stuff with the farmer guy was awkward as fuck.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn OVA is Ghibli though

Incredible animation wasted on an incredibly dull story you wont give two shits about. Watched it once and I couldn't even tell you what the basic plot is.

I can agree with this. I've seen it 3 times and I couldn't even tell you any character's name in it

please stop
