Vocaloid, classical, some good anime openings like tabi no tochuu
Arabian xumstep
Metal. Mostly death metal and melodic death.
Some folk and black metal as well.
Right now this.
all kinds
Started out with the Beatles when I was a kid
Then Alice Cooper
Then Kiss
Then metal and classic rock
Then New Wave
Then Punk
Then Gothic/Industrial
Then bagpipes
Now everything
Pretty much everything. 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s 2000s and 2010s all have great music. Just have to look. I like rap, hip hop, pop, rock, punk rock, classic rock, alt rock etc. I am really not a big fan of the extremes of any genre like metal, harder rap, etc.

Mhmm...sure you do. *rolls eyes
I don't have any music tastes that stand out. I am a very boring and uninteresting person
What?
I listen to about everything but all metal genres.
My favourite types of music at the moment are
>Jump Up Drum and Bass
>Riddim Dubstep
Hardcore, hard stripes, step 4 change etc
Grimey sailor music for lonely nerds and alcoholics, please love me :(
whale songs and binaural beats with soothing nature sounds overlapped
I only like music that is meme related or is its self a meme.
How can you live without music?
I'll listen to just about anything but my favorite group would have to be Ghost
im gonna go ahead and be a douche and say i like all types
Anything that's good i guess? Really enjoying launchpad/midi fighter songs right now.
underground shit like kanye and gucci mane

My playlist says it all.
Why is there so many people who listen to this metal? I don't get what's so great about it.
Why do so many listen to rap? Or pop? Or anything?
People like different things. I love metal for many reasons. It's just my kind of music and has been for over 20 years.
I've found myself in this situation more times than I'd like to remember. What do I say? I don't have a favorite genre.
Anything except for rap or country, on the radio, played at a reasonable volume.
No clue man, melodic death metal just makes me happy.

There's are a ton of reasons, personally it's the heavy underlying beat of the drum accompanied by a good guitarist who can tell is heavenly. I also find the lyrics to be good as well, not all the time, but sometimes you just find the right song.m
nice
Could you please link me to a metal song which you think has good lyrics.
Maybe I've never heard "Good" Metal.
Here's one. Very calming and chilling.

Gee babes, I like this weaboo shit. Think we can still fuk?
Tbh I haven't found one that has amazing lyrics that relate to life, BUT I love the game Dark Souls and a band called Soulmass does metal songs about it.
IMO they capture the stories through the lyrics such as in this one:
youtu.be
They also capture the processes of hollowing in the lyrics of this song:
youtu.be
If you haven't played dark souls these would mean nothing to you I guess.
Also special recommendation would be this song for its lyrics, as it took some vegans tumblr post about KFC and made them into lyrics:
youtu.be
The lyrics perfectly describe how the American wealth (and commonwealth) act towards others, espically those who are disadvantaged.
If you wan't good and well written lyrics the band Carach Angren is something you should check out. Their albums are basically stories spread out over the songs.
Like "This is No Fairy Tale. Terrible child abuse story. Makes your stomach turn but is so damn good.
Here's a taste.

ATM this song speaks to me at a spiritual level
Here's the full "This is no Fairy tale" album with lyrics on screen. Enjoy this modern horror take on Hansel & Gretel. Lyric writing at it's best.
