>what does Sup Forums think about this album?
it's alright
>any more similar music like this?
the rest of KG&TLW
Every single day I see a thread about this album.
average at best
there are hundreds of original albums like this from the 70s nobody paying attention to
Honestly I fucking hate King Gizzard. I can't aptly explain it, I just hate their sound so much
fuzz - fuzz was recommended to me recently and i really like it, maybe give it a try
>you are Sup Forums
Shoot yourself cunt this album is fucking amazing
you hate them, because some retard on Sup Forums told you to hate them
i really like the cover but the album is kind of bland except for maybe 2 or 3 tracks
Didn't think much of this album at first, but with more listens it really grew on me. turning into one of my all time favorites as of recently. Sleep Drifter and Rattlesnake are fucking great
I'm tired of bandwagoners
When I first started posting King Gizzard I got anons replying "literally who" and now everybody and their mother has an opinion
there are two damn gizz threads already
everyone talks about albums from the 70s but no one posts them. let me here them
You should be happy a band you like is getting more recognition
>I'm tired of bandwagoners
>thinks he's the only one who can post king gizz
fucking hate scrubs like you
Probably in my top three by them. Really like the quasi-Middle Eastern aesthetic they explored with the sound. Hope they elaborate on this in further microtonal albums.
You hate them because they suck.

I've been a huge fan of King Gizzard since Mind Fuzz but I have no idea why this particular album is the one that's blown up. It's a fun little project but also feels completely mediocre, and a bit gimmicky like Nonagon. Seems like they didn't put as much thought or time into most of these tracks, but I guess that's what you get when you try and push out five albums in a year.
FAFYL, Mind Fuzz, 12 Bar Bruise, and Quarters are all great takes on modern psych rock and deserving of way more attention but none of those are getting looked at by all the new people giving them a try.
I really like the last three songs on this album, the rest I find just o.k
Same thing happened with me and Everything Everything
Nonagon was pretty huge too
Post some please.
>I liked thing before it was cool
>Now it's cool and I don't like thing
i dont know what it exactly is but it feels so satisfying to say "king gizzard and the lizard wizard"
Boring indie rock
How has no one mentioned Thee Oh Sees? Lupine Dominus is sick

I didn't really like the band at first even though my friends liked them. The video for gamma knife was awesome though and the song isn't bad. But then the singles for this album started coming out and they sounded really good to me. So I gave nonagon infinity another shot. For me its average/above average. But this album is on another level. It sounds more dynamic and just has more exciting song structures imo. I have to go back and listen to some pre nonagon albums
FOTM meme band
If you dig music videos, Robot Stop has one of the best I've ever seen. The River has a cool one too. Also, all of their best music is pre-nonagon and there's a shit ton of it, have fun. Mind Fuzz and Float Along are prob their best
Yeah, but they're also dishing out a unique brand of psych rock that nobody else is making right now. Sure the whole project is kinda tongue in cheek but a lot of their music is legitimately impressive imo. Sometimes they hit this "jazzy krautrock doom psych" kinda vibe that I'm not finding anywhere else. Songs like Wah Wah, Am I in Heaven, The River, Head On/Pill convince me they're a bit better than average
I like KGATLW as much as the next guy, but these threads need to stop, its the same shit every day.
>OUTLAWS ON THE RUN
they kind of remind me of Guided by Voices, not so much musically, but that they'll hit the sweet spot and write some legitimately great songs but they're spread across 50 albums
>FOTM
Nignog they've been popular since Mind Fuzz shut the fuck up
NONAGON INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR
not the guy you responded but i collect a lot of psych, here's some of my favorites.

lots of good stuff out there. a contemporary psych group that i'm a huge fan of is kikagaku moyo, seen them live a few times now. really tight band.
There's something about the production value of this album that grows on me. I recommend to listen it with a good quality headphone
7/10
The last King Gizzard album was better
That's Ty Segall's band. Pretty talented guy.
If you're looking for psych rock I strongly recommend Dead Meadow's first album OP
Clear Light
meme band, p average across the board (not just this album). Brian Jonestown Massacre are better psych rock
