I'm the guy with a strat
Cant stop enjoying that ending solo

If i record this bass with a pick instead of pizzicato it will sound much less sloppy. Should i do it?

semi-hollow Epiphones

Casino sounds and looks great, whats the meme

>This curry nigger wants you to pay $1900 for a Chinese made copy of a 5150/6505+

When will djent faggots learn?

Manlet/10

Reposting from the last thread - thinking about getting a P90 sized humbucker for the bridge of my semi-hollow, and leaving a regular P90 in the neck.

Is this retarded?

So an H S(P90) on a semihollow isn't dumb in theory?

Your guitar is not more 80's than mine

the 80s need to be burned and forgotten about

The meme is we love them user

it's a counter meme

Big Time Pig in the house boy

...

Bros, help me out. Trying to buy my first (acoustic) guitar on Amazon. It has to come on black, because I'm edgy (not really). What's the best bang for buck one? I don't want to spend more than a hundred.

just fuck off

Thanks for the help ass wipe

"I love playing this $100 guitar so much I'm going to keep playing guitar."
-No one ever

and that's why you're bad

I started out on a used $100 Ibanez Gio 4 years ago and I'm still playing
Albeit not on that shitty thing but you get the point

Thoughts on the Epiphone Les Paul Standard?

You get lots of bling for 420 dollars and ebony finish. Looks like a pretty sexy guitar, but will it play well?

This trolling is getting out of control. $100? Really? At least make it believable.

I would've accepted $200. Maybe.

Go ahead, give the greedy Gibson kikes your money. After all, they do have the BEST toanwud and it was made in an AMERICAN factory (filled with beaners). After you give all of your life's savings for a shitty generic le custom LP, try flaunting it to others and call their instruments toys. Who needs to play their guitars anyways, once you have enough money, you're already good enough because you filled the giant Gibson coffers with your shekels already.

Kill yourself.

imagine actually typing this

I get being miserable because you're poor but yeah if a guitar costs less than 500 it's garbage.

Maybe you're just a garbage player though.

where to buy strings for cheap

Why do poorfag always assume it's Gibson? They don't make the only "expensive" guitars. ESP (not LTD), Prestige Ibanez, Ernie Ball, American Schecters, Jackson, etc.

Yes, I'm a garbage player because I am not poor. Great logic.

Time for you to find another hobby.

Jackson are made in Mexico and still cost 1200 dollars

You are petty and overly defensive, traits of the young and inexperienced. Nothing to do with logic, just an obvious, simple observation.

>What is Jack USA Series

Come the fuck on now.

Yeah once again, this thread isn't for you.

How do I solo over this?

youtube.com/watch?v=lbRZ8ezIr3E

I've been trying to figure it out for almost an hour now and I cant do it properly
What things should I be looking for?

Yeah well, people pay big cash for shit every day, no biggie.

Use reverb you twit

I feel bad for anyone who used Justinguitar to start playing guitar. He's way too hand-holdy.

>Git gud
>Solo over backing track
>????
>Fuck whores
>????
>Profit

Who is this even directed at? Are you delusional?

You have to be 18 to post here user.

Yeah my bad.
No person that posts on /gg/ will ever git good or fuck someone.

How do I get good like him?

Fucking hell this thread is cancerous. I don't know anything about guitars at all, can someone who isn't an insufferable elitist cunt help me out? Guitar, amp, pedal and whatever else I need to begin, for 400-500 or less total.

Does anyone know what kind of strat this is?

Think it's a deluxe players but not sure... MIM, gold hardware and noiseless pickups

>tortoise
disgusting

are you inbred?

Any recommendation made to you will be pointless because you're an imbecile. If you really wanted to start playing guitar you'd go to a music shop and get one, not spend time hanging around online making bait posts like this. Now just fuck off.

You should spend 400 on the guitar itself, and less on the amp.

EIther way you're going to be stuck with a chinese made guitar. But it will have better hardware and parts if you spend more. A 200 dollar guitar is going to be hot garbage. An okay practice amp will run you about 150$.

For example, an epiphone les paul standard and an orange crush 20RT amplifier will run you about $550.

Hope that helps.

Get more money before you even ask
Everything you want is going to total well over $1000 for anything worthwhile

How am I baiting, seriously? Do you guys just get posts like this daily or what? I recently moved to another state and amazon would be ideal for me for many reasons.

Alright I can get that money in 2 weeks, what do you recommend then?

I played the most AMAZINGLY clean 1967 Hagstrom III today. Absolutely in love with that guitar, so unique and cool. What do you guys think of them?

>M-Muh LTD IS JUST AS GOOD
>YOU'RE DUMB FOR BUYING A GUITAR THAT COSTS MORE THAN 100
>ITS JUST A PIECE OF WOOD
>J-JUST SWAP OUT THE PICKUPS
>I-ITS UST AN INSTRUMENT ALL THAT MATTERS ITS THE PLAYER

Things poorfags will say when they read this.

i'm torn between this and a strat. but i want an american strat which run 700+ used which sucks

My 124 dollar washburn acoustic is holding up nicely. Its on year 3 of good use. Although within the last 2 months it has developed a dead fret on the 11 fret of the A string. Although this is anecdotal. Ive had a few cheap shit guitars throughout the years. And you are right. Unless you really love guitar already a bunch of problems can be off putting.

Get a Taylor baby taylor acoustic guitar. Its a good guitar you can keep forever.

if you are still playing in a year adn are pretty good you can justify buying an electric and amp.

What key is it in? Thats the start. From there put your scale in that key. Then play.

Yeah the Super Swedes look pretty rad, never got the chance to play one tho. I play a standard MIM tele right now and I never understood the strat hype personally. I played a 60's lacquer special edition strat that I sort of liked but never liked any others.

Are you ready?

or this one preferably white pick guard

Used is your friend. That said, verify things work before you pull the trigger.
A cheap tube 212 combo like a Peavey ValveKing is a good place to start for heavier stuff, any 212 Fender combo for around would probably be fine for everything else.
Guitars, just get what you think you'll enjoy. Do your research and try a couple out locally. It's worth spending good money on a guitar that will be extremely comfortable to play, because you'll enjoy playing it.
Pedals, get only what you think you'll absolutely need to start. Good pedals'll run $75-$125 a piece. Boutique will run up to $200 (or more). Spend wisely.

oh hell yeah is that one of the american professional serires? The jazzmaster looks sexy as fuck too. I kind of hate the bridges on them tho. especially the tele

i've got such a thing for super unique guitars like the hagstrom III

I've been eyeing the Godin Dorchester quite a bit since seeing it get some use in King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. It's like a rickenbacker knockoff.

personally dislike offsets and that trem is hideous
i don't like trems either i wish there was a fixed option

just block it

if you don't have a good grasp on modes and chords in jazz don't even bother

check this out: jazzguitar.be/backing-tracks/blue-bossa.html

Did I do good for less than $250?

yeah offset guitars tend to be a bit of a love it or hate it thing

personally i fucking love the quirky cool thing that jaguars and jazzmasters have going for them

Hey guys, whats up. I am new here but I have been playing for about 30 years man. I have one of a les paul silverburst epiphone and a red honeyburst les paul epiphone and a korean les paul standard epiphone and a lefty strung righty strat man.

Check out my channel and I hope you have a good time watching my videos man.

kys tort pickguards on strats are great

How do I learn about pedals to know what I'll need? Thanks for Ll the info

Just get a digitech or one of the multieffects pedals until you know what you like.

not on black

eh it's not the best but it doesn't look horrible. what's a better option for a black strat? white?

white for sure. Black would look better than tort

ehhhh agree to disagree

You can't tell me you like tort better than black on black

>Tortoise
>The best ever

Choose 2 and only 2

vomit

>What is Jack USA Series

Literraly inferior to LTD

I own both AMA

I saw a guy playing one of these recently. Doesn't it have a drop D switch or something?

My first guitar was a white MIM with a tortoise pickguard and I'm fucking glad I eventually sold it. Christ, can you BE more unoriginal and generic?

Yeah, the little switch at the top of the neck keeps it at E, flipping it will extend the lowest string by 2 notes.

which do you play more?
weight differences? better neck? general shit etc etc

I play the strat more but mostly because I want to keep the hagstrom looking perfect.
The hagstrom has a heavier neck than the strat which is unusual but it doesn't bother me.
I'm really impressed with how the hagstrom sounds with distortion. Makes my shitty amp sound good.

Christfuck there are are some elitist musicians in this room. For around $600 you can get a MIM/MIJ strat or an Epiphone LP Staandard, a Fender 1x12 amp, and a cable. If you want to go cheaper, you certainly can, with some sacrifices. More than happy to offer more opinions. And they'll be constructive, too..Used will allow more options, this is just new off the shelf recommendations.

I am thinking on pulling the trigger on this amp. Has any of you had any experience with this brand? So far, I have only heard positive things about it, the demos have sounded great too. However, I am still skeptical, because is a $1k+ amp, and I want to make sure I am getting quality. I couldn't care less about the onboard effects(they sound pretty decent though), but boy the built in attenuator, and the 4 channels really make me wanna pull the trigger on this thing.
youtube.com/watch?v=ESQBEI4lgRw

Buying a looper pedal for the first time. What should I look for?
Don't need anything fancy but 2 channels would be cool and it needs to work with bass

Ditto Looper x2

I wouldn't get because of all the app BS that it comes with it..

Isn't that optional? The Ipad app is actually kinda cool imo. Unless you mean for security reasons, then that's another topic....

You wanna play electric. Buy electric, don't listen to idiots saying buy acoustic.

Epiphone and Squier make some great starter kits. You can get a better instrument and a better amp if you buy it separate, but if you don't want the headache it's a great way to get started.

I'm sure you don't have to use the app to use the amp. But at around 2:25 the guy says when using the app you have more access to the amp..
Kind of a turn off for me imo

Yeah, it is kind of annoying that you kinda NEED to use the app for that extra tweakabilty. Oh well, I like the sound a lot, and the attenuator is huge for me, because I am a bedroom hero.

I say go for it if the whole app thing doesn't bother you that much. It does sound great.

For sure, I mean, it is kind of cheap of them to have Rabea Massad, and Devin Townsend review that amp. Anything those dudes touch sounds great. However, yes, I think this is the amp I want to have. Cheers user!

Peole always think they want infinite sound they only use 2 settings.
Theres already lots of them you can buy used. What kind of music do you play ?

>White
Check your eyes mate

Why would anyone ever buy an amp with no EQ section
