Is this the only Marvel movie that is actually capekino.

i think it was the best, most ambitious marvel movie but it was still pretty dumb.

the way pepper rescued him at the end was pretty fucking retarded i have to say, same with the useless kid and the endlessly disposable suits that broke if someone even tapped them.

>and the endlessly disposable suits that broke if someone even tapped them.
To be fair he made them being mentally affected

>It's different, therefore it's good
It's worse

If it didn't have the big dumb action ending, and if it fixed some of the plotholes, it'd go from being pretty good to great.

It would be better if Iron Man was a black woman.

>same with the useless kid
Same too. I don't get the people of this board who says the kid was another pleb filter.

yeah i liked that aspect of his character, but i think they went a bit overboard with the suits. i mean they were excessively pathetic.

i liked his panic attacks and overwhelming arrogance (to his own detriment) but i didn't like pepper and i thought it was a bit excessive how incompetent he was in that movie.

still, it's probably my favorite marvel movie. not the most entertaining, but the most ambitious and substantial. i liked the mandarin fakeout even.

It was made by shane black. I was going love the movie either way

Stop posting this

>i thought it was a bit excessive how incompetent he was in that movie
he had ptsd senpai, that was the whole point of the movie.

>>Controversial.

How? A lot of people saying "this movie sucks" isn't a real controversy.

>Risky movie that made the MCU lose some fans.

It was a safer version of Iron Man 2, which handled the themes better.

>Actor's Biography.

See above.

>Has a good soundtrack

Sure, whatever.

>Director would do it again.

Because he literally can't do anything else.

It's an unfocused mess, but you idiots love it because it was made by a meme director.

>meme director

nice job invalidating your entire post.

Former mainstream director who makes a few indie crime films and then starts cashing in again. He's a meme director.

>How? A lot of people saying "this movie sucks" isn't a real controversy.
Referring to the Mandarin twist.
>It was a safer version of Iron Man 2, which handled the themes better.
Iron Man 2 and 3 doesn't have the same themes.
>See above
In what way IM2 was an actor's biography?
This actually references RDJ after his succes with capeshit and his desire to quit and do something else.
>Sure, whatever.

t. pleb

opinion trashed. back to your letterboxd General.

...

>thinking Iron Man 3 is good
This might be the funniest post I've ever seen

>Has a good soundtrack
>No ACDC

I love Iron Man 3. It is a pretty good bookend to Tony's story. I mean, they're trying to keep going with his Dad's life affecting him now, but fuck that's just fluff and 'gasms. This was the real shit.

That Ruffalo at the end, tho
>I'm not that kind of doctor!

>youtube.com/watch?v=4XJ07onCqAs >No MCU film has a superhero theme as good this
Its fucking criminal

It was shit, so yeah, it's "kino"

It's the best Marvel movie I've seen. I don't understand why people hate it.

>Risky

>the useless kid
As far as useless kids in movies go, he wasn't bad. Had some good comedy bits, and gave RDJ some good character moments.

Because there is a kid in it (no symbolism there) AND the "big bad guy" is actually a drunk, drug-addled homeless actor who is using used as a smokescreen by Guy Pierce.

Because having the main bad guy of the series be a cartoon stereotype of a Chinese alien would've been so much more coherent for the series.

I could watch Ben Kingsly play a lamp post for 2 hours to be completely honest kinsman.

It had moments that were kino

i liked the tweeest

>Anti-Corporativism.

Sometimes I wonder about you people

Them being disposable and shitty was explained in the movie. He was suffering PTSD from the New York invasion in Avengers and building robot suits was his way of coping.

How do they go from taking a hit from Thor's hammer to getting ripped apart like tin cans by generic grunts?

>generic grunts

Again, shitty throwaway armors that were definetly NOT made with the same quality that his Avengers armor was. Also

>generic grunts

Did you watch the movie? They were Extremis-powered super weapons. They were anything but "generic grunts."

>generic grunts

In the Director's cut, pepper is recruited by the army. and she become sargent pepper!

I just died inside a little.

Iron Man 3 really IS kino, though..

The symbolism of the President at end of movie LITERALLY being made a puppet of the "military-industrial complex", the men on fire (get it?), terrorist being a proxy front man for business interests... It was a smart script

reminder that the real mandarin exists in the cinematic universe and kidnapped the fake mandarin in the one shot all hail the king

I hope they expand on that.

he'll probably only make his appearance on daredevil

Apologize

As someone who hates Marvel movies and loves BvS, I can't deny Iron Man 3 was a masterpiece of artistic work.

I apologize.

>loves BvS

>Just as the villain actually starts being threatening he gets comically killed by the protag's girlfriend

Marvel films sure know to ramp up that tension
