I like both kinds of music. Country and Western.

I;ve been listening to an awesome band called Rozwel Kid lately.
They're awesome.
Good taste.
Galneryus is my favorite jap band.

Yo I love Galneryus. Blood Stain Child and some Yousei Teikoku songs. Unlucky Morpheus is another. Denkare if that counts.
nice kek
Stoner-, Desert- and Blues Rock, some rap, some Punk / Ska / Oi and older stuf like Simon and Garfunkel
Good taste brah. Are you a musician by any chance? Im looking for people to play stuff like galneryus and unlucky morpheus.
Thanks
Alot of Alternative and Punk. Along with a little Folk and country
Thrash \m/
Not that person, but what do you play?
I'm a very bored guitarist.
...
Am that person. Nah I don't play. Tried playing Guitar, just strained my hands like a god damned pussy.
I play 5 different instruments 6 If you include vocals but for rock and metal my main instrument is guitar. I'm located in Texas and most of the scene here is metalcore.
I'm up in New England.
Guitarist for 12 years, dabble in synths. Can also do average death growls.
Ah I see that's a shame but good taste in music anyway.
Thanks. Got any recommendations for songs? Always looking for new stuff to listen to.
Swing and 50's
Lately I've been getting into SLowdive and other related shoegazey dreampop bands. Slowdive is unreal.
That's a bit too far away from me Kek. What kind of stuff you play? I used to play in metalcore and deathcore bands but that's not really my thing I'm looking to play more melodic stuff but everyone here only plays the heavier stuff which I like but I wanna do something different.
I suck at naming stuff at the top of my head but maybe try listening to Versailles/jupiter although you probably know them already. I'll see if I can remember some more bands
I used to be really into the neoclassical/shred scene (Paul Gilbert, Andy James, Jason Becker), but these days I'm playing mostly melodic death metal or technical death metal.
Think Scar Symmetry, Whispered, The Faceless, and some Soreption.
Alternative
>Swervedriver
>Angelfish
>Garbage
>Afghan Whigs
Punk
>Reagan Youth
>Rancid
>Leftover Crack
>Gogol Bordello
Folk/Country
>Pete Seeger
>Woody Guthrie
>George Strait
>Misc. Pop Country
lol this isn't Sup Forums
...
That's cool too especially technical death metal the faceless is one my favorite bands I can't find anyone that plays stuff like that here though.
You are right. It's Sup Forums which where anything goes.
I heard the cheapest tickets to their show start at $1k USD.
If you like unlucky morpheus you can try lightbringer and Dragon Guardian same singer on all three. Also if you like melodic death metal maybe try GYZE.
Yeah where I live is TERRIBLE for any music at all.
There are like two competent drummers and one is in the next room.
Everyone is into either pop-punk or Asking Alexandria-esque stuff.
What I do is jam/make covers with a guy in Brazil. One of us writes a drum track, I record guitars, he records synths and such, mixes it, then we move to another project.
Old school technical death metal.
Pestilence, Cynic, Death, Atheist, that kind of thing
I know that feel. 90% of bands here are generic metalcore bands.
Nice.
I'm a bit of a black sheep in that I like Cynic's newer stuff (not Lion, but everything before) but not so much Focus. I feel like I don't "get it."
Shit, me too when it comes to the newer stuff. Anything made by Cynic is going to be very beautiful. Ever heard of the stuff when they were temporarily known as 'portal'? youtube.com
Anyways, Focus to me was always a lot more psychedelic influenced than other albums of the time so maybe that's what you don't click with.
Punk, cos I don't wanna be bored with songs over 2mins long with some piss stain whining on about his feelings and how he's so alone in the world with the only thing that gets him at his emotional level is the handkerchief he's crying into which will later double as a cum rag as he cry wanks himself to sleep thinking of his mommas titties
So like flower traveling band?
Fan of powerviolence, crust, or grindcore?
Traced in Air is one of my favorite non-death metal albums.
I played Integral from Retraced live once. It was a good performance. Super fun song.
Cosmos sounds very Focus-era. Focus isn't bad, it's just a bit too... dissonant at times, maybe? The production is very poor.
