The premise is akin to that of Groundhog Day, where a certain time period keeps repeating. So characters that die come back to life as time repeats itself. At first, it explains none of it, but as you watch it it ties everything together and all the pieces slowly fall in to place. I just rewatched it in the last few months, it's pretty good.
