Hey Sup Forums, how come pretty much everyone I meet who want to show me how great Death Grips are always reject any other noisy or experimental music without even giving it a proper chance?
It's almost like people likes Death Grips because it makes them feel trendy yet "different" and don't actually like the music.
Because Death Grips isn't just noise/instrumental music???

Because they don't compare to the experimental noise apocalypse that is Death Grips

Death Grips is kind of an anomaly in my taste (though I guess my love of punk and hip hop might help). Give me some recs with other more noisy or experimental bands.

Big Black (any albini project really) if you like metal the noisiest band I've heard is probably Boris B L A C K I E allcapswithspaces is very similar to death grips Zach Hill's first band Hella is noise rock classic noise rock acts like Sonic Youth and Swans more rhythmic noise projects like Merzbow's Merzbeat or Cut Hands (made by william bennet of whitehouse, which is power electronics, a type of noise that includes vocals and isn't totally harsh all the time) Les Rallizes Denudes and The Velvet Undergrounf are often credited as some of the first ever noise rock bands (or bands to utilize noise in rock music in general) The Gerogerigegege have made a more accessible noise album recently with 燃えない灰 (Moenai Hai) (which I found to be very similar to LRD) Japanese musician EYE has been in hanatarash (harsh noise "punk") and Boredoms (psychedelic noise electronic rock thing, one of the most unique bands I've ever heard) check the sticky for more

I 100% am sure that big black is a pleb filter, as in people who like big black are trying way too hard.
