>Did the Sam Hyde thing ruin his career?
nah hes got way more fans and tbqh the Sup Forums kids might take him more seriously than p4k has treated him.

one of the few artists i actually buy their music off itunes lol

wtf i love hipster fag music now

hey moon

lmao is this the white lil b?

quick rundown?

weird synthpop three albums just pick one

>Sam Hyde thing
wut

Quantum Leap is the voice of our generation

what Sam Hyde thing? I'm having a hard time finding information on what he really did and what he thinks of Hyde using his music

huh?
he was in an episode of MDE

Yeah, but MDE used Cop Shooter too, right?

yeah but AS didn't approve it. so they used hey moon

"he's a brilliant guy. he hung out for a few days and we talked to him for hours. he entertains a lot of conflicting ideas at the same time without judging them... to be honest i have no idea what if anything he holds to be true, i just know he's smart and has deep knowledge on a lot of subjects"
- Sam Hyde on John Maus

"I love him so much. He didn't want to come visit and stay in a hotel when we were shooting, he wanted to crash at our place so he was on the couch for several nights. He brought ghosts in, I swear to god...someone (something?) screamed bloody murder from beyond the first night he was in there and scared everyone stiff... and second night there were bugs flooding the place like the plague. He has a presence unmatched and he poured his soul out in his bit. I'll be collaborating on a music video for his new album soon!"
- Andrew Ruse (World Peace director) on John Maus

(John Maus in background as Charls yells "vote Trump"

too bad johns an incoherent idiot

>understands the true genius of world peace
>an idiot
"no"

looks like you are one also if you think sam's poor mans brass eye is genius.

you can like both dont be a dick

they dont even compare its a completely different style, you shouldnt lump it all in together

the only english comedy that i think is a little bit similar to sam hyde is stewart lee but its a strange comparison

>world peace
>genius
lmao

i do love both. but i don't think anything World peace did was "genius" the skits weren't as funny as anything on his youtube channel.

completely agree, some rare sketches were way beyond what mdes youtube videos where capable of though really something, seeing as they transitioned straight from youtube to TV and having an actual budget i dont think its fair to judge them too harshly it really felt like they were just finding their feet

just compare bruiser with the mitchell and webb look to see how much progress you can make with a little experience of the process of tv

that being said world peace is many times better than the mitchell and webb look ever was, and that is very highly regarded at least in the uk

very sad that it was axed

yeah true my bad. tv does limit their creativity lots. shame they didn't get a proper chance

>sam's poor mans brass eye
that's a pretty generous definition

youtu.be/Hkb-vgabexA

There some fucking good scenes desu
btw
What other comedy shows are aproved on Sup Forums(The new Sup Forums)?

>time trumpet

British Terrorism episode:
youtube.com/watch?v=mvexwF2HLJs

>armando ianuccia shows
>the thick of it
>the day today
>on the hour (radio)
>jam
>peep show
>screenwipe (charlie brooker wrote for brass eye interestingly)
>limmys show
>stewart lees comedy vehicle (champaign socialist version of sam hyde but with stand up not sketches)
>hardy bucks
>every british panel show with david mitchell as a guest
>4 lions
>black books
>hardy brooks
>nathan barley (another chris morris/charlie brooker collaboration) "he did a polanski"

some others i cant remember off the top of my head, will probably add more

*hardy bucks

vipers view is very good

New album when??

looks like you are one also if you think johns's poor mans scott walker is genius.

Honestly I hadn't even thought of John Maus for years til the MDE appearance. Cool that it brought him new fans, unfortunate that a lot of the new fans are Odd Future/Mac Demarco/Death Grips level of cringe. You can tell for a lot of them it's their first time hearing good music.

>15 storeys high, sean locke
chinese flat mate is in promethius / the martian now

>spaced (inspiration for shaun of the dead)

good taste lad

tbf his appearance on MDE did make me check out his music

i've always loved weird hypnagogic synthpop stuff but i never really got around to maus

comedy should have its own board

bump

>derailed this thread

this, bennington, and keep pushing on

>cumskins
>people
This picture is sufficient proof otherwise.

I really don't think they were trying to be funny with the show. There were some elements of humor for sure but I think they were trying to evoke a broader range of emotion with the show.

>youtube.com/watch?v=nhiGNo6yCtw

This skit for example not exactly hilarious but the cinematography is brilliant and the moment when he puts the noose on and flies away while the music starts is undeniably cool. Some of the show makes me feel like how FLCL made me feel watching it for the first time as a kid. Cool. It's just a cool show.

how does it feel to be closer related to a bonobo than an actual human being, jamal?

feels horny

youtube.com/watch?v=Brdx7kmxx2I&t=157s

Also the ending to this sketch with maus is amazing

it all felt serious in a wierd way

WE ARE
THE ONES

it's the best thing to reach tv in a long time. get into it

youtube.com/watch?v=qFeKOrU7W0k

i havent seen a sketch show that comes close to it really, sketch comedy as a rule feels sort of awkward and loose like unrelated videos sort of bundled together most of the time, this didnt feel like that

its kinda strange, but dont know if i just feel that because im just biased for it

All these sketches are extremely unique and intriguing I can't see why anyone wouldn't enjoy watching this show.

politics as usual
