If you're under 30 years old you can do it. Hell when I went to basic training we have a fucking 45 year old who graduated basic training.

Also basic training is glorified PE, nothing compared to what you need to get into one of the elite units

Dude if you literally hit the gym for 2-3 hrs a day 5 days a week you would be fine. Plus all you have to do is go to the recruiting station and say you want to train to get prepped for special forces. They will literally let you come in and train with them and also hook you up with some contacts that know what to expect. Stop being a pussy and do it faggot.

Actually OP, the Army Rangers are thus far the most productive special forces group in the American military. In addition, i hear lots of good things about the Thai special forces.

Definately regret not going for SEALS though - barring that Marines but I'm almost at the age limit for that now too.

That was 7 years ago. Since then Ive completed an engineering degree and my original science degree and am now looking for work. Not a day goes by that i don't feel bitter about that recruiter lying to me.

They're the most productive because their the largest group of all of them. They're not even a real SF unit, they're more of a glorified and extremely well trained infantry regiment. They're the upper echelon of regular infantry.

I was an 0621, Field Radio Operator, who seeved for two enlistments, and spent time as an NCO in both artillery and infantry units overseas. I was in a grunt squad in Helmand in 11' and I been there, saw that, got that ribbon. So you can fuck yourself if you're attempting to hate because I dgaf.

I'd say so, yeah. I love situations where there's some physical danger, that's what makes it fun.

The physical punishment I would be fine with but the mental and verbal abuse could be a problem for me. The though of having the chaddiest men on the planet (who have probably killed people before) ridiculing you and humiliating you in front of 300+ other men + tens of other instructors is something that scares the fuck out of me. That is the only part of the training that I have doubts on.

My goal is to just always be in the gray area and never bring any attention on myself. Either I need to do that or somehow overcome that fear of humiliation.

My face and body look chad-like but inside I am not even remotely a chad.

I have/will play varsity lacrosse all four years of high school and everyone on the team likes me but I'm not really "one of them". I was just the quiet guy who was good and nobody really bothered me. I have absolutely no friends yet no one has really noticed. I have almost no self confidence and I practically blew my cover today during a debate in class today where I messed up and my face turned bright red and everyone started laughing which resulted in me promptly ending whatever argument I was making and sitting down.

I just know in BUD/S that I can't hide this secret from the instructors like I have from my peers in high school. When they find it they will absolutely destroy me and I'm not sure if I can handle that.
