shows that i've seen already and really liked are, in no particular order, cowboy bebop, samurai champloo, mob psycho 100, terror in resonance, dimension w, etc..
i'd prefer to watch something similar to any of these

one punch man is by the author of mob psycho 100 and is pretty similar in terms terms of humor and style

Serial Experiments Lain
is excellent.
I really liked Blood C. Everyone hates on that show, but it was animated well, had a fun plot, and was exciting. Fun monsters. Very fun.
