we all know the only correct way to make uncharted movies is:

>make a prequel of the events right before Uncharted: Drake's Fortune happens
>open a little backstory with Sam and Drake, as well as Chloe and Cutter similar to a James Bond/Indiana Jones style action opening that has little to nothing to do with rest of plot
>flash forward to a pretty standard nathan/sully buddy adventure, nothing too flashy, maybe play with mystical shit like the series does or maybe play it straight
>elena doing a story in the area of the setpiece nathan and sully fuck up in the second act
>somehow gets caught up in action with Nathan and Sully, one thing leads to another and conversations find us at the beginning of the first game

next movie:

>taking place after a thief's end
>i don't give a shit what they do

if David O. Russell actually somehow manages to get his mentally ill fingers on directing this movie I hope he casts Bradley Cooper as Nate and Robert De Niro as Sulley. Cast some up and coming woman he can yell at in the jungle for 18 hours, it doesn't matter.

but i'd prefer james roday as nate, bruce willis as sully and michelle monaghan as elena.

and even though i dislike twice as many movies as i like that michael bay makes, for some insane reason i feel like he'd direct the perfect uncharted movie. uncharted is fairly straightforward and thrives from big, bombastic moments like racing up a falling train or a city sinking in sand. michael bay makes great eye-candy regardless of what the reception of his movies is.

No one since all of Drakes charm comes from his voice actor Nolan North, who can't place him live action for obvious reasons, and without Drake Uncharted is nothing

not that user but based campbell looks nothing like sully and even though Sully's old he's still somewhat athletic with all the jumping, something campbell is not.
