thoughts on this show?

Shitty, but I watch and pretend to enjoy it because my dad is a big fan and I'm a good son.

gay as fuck show for normies, the idea is good, ie humans are the real evil and zombies are just what shows their true nature, etc all seasons deal with the same problem, there's always an evil guy and the characters become more evil but not evil enough, then someone even more evil appears, it's literally AMCs the Dragon ball

its fun to watch it with Sup Forums, though, i've had some good laughs

meme garbage

the writing and acting is half asses now

the lead characters salary goes up the more normies flock to it.

it got stale after leaving the prison

A kitchen-sink-esque, Days of our Lives type drama made for men who really want to watch daytime soaps but are too embarrassed to. Fucking trash.

dogshit. everyone involved should be gassed.

This. I only watch it so that I can keep up with my normie faggot friends.

It's bad, but I keep watching. Just like the comic is shit, but I seem to keep reading it every month. I don't know, I have no excuse.

Boondock Saints is fucking kino, Sup Forums, great flick.

>socializes with people
>has friends
>cares about what other people think
>calls other people normies

wew lad

you all think its bad? i fucking love it.

Watched since the first season and gave up recently, it's awful

It could have been interesting and well done if it was on any other network. Instead, we have a by the numbers drama made for the lowest common denominator with an appalling budget (relative to being their biggest draw) that forces them to have only a few episodes a season that aren't padded to death with THIS IS THE WAY THINGS ARE NOW-tier monologues. I'm not saying I need huge splodey boom booms every episode, but every time they use CGI it's laughable and distracting. Lots of shows work well within budgetary constraints and pressure if you have good writers, but they go out of their way to make it as bland and basic as possible so it appeals to the widest audience possible.

tl;dr great concept ruined by the fact that it's on AMC

Started out legit as fuck but dropped it couple of seasons ago

yeah fuck AMC.

Only watch it because of based Rick

The last series was really fucking dragged out , theyre also scared about killing off any characters

agreed. i love the show but i cant deny that the writers are pussies. they off a lot of people its never a glenn or daryl tier characyer.

The bar was lowered considerably after the disaster that was Season 2. It's still enjoyable enough and S6 was the best it had been since S1.

Wish it was on a better network though, AMC really ruined what the show could have been.

yeah, i think season 7 will prove that it can still be a great show when handled seriously

Too many episodes per season. Cut the number in half and it could be a decent show.

Gave up after season 2. Only finished that one to see if the leaked image of shane as a walker was real or shopped. Fuckin terrible, worse than GoT

It's popular, so don't expect an unbiased opinion from Sup Forums's hive mind hipster contrarians

Watch it and decide for yourself you tard

>he hasn't read ahead and doesn't know whof died in the last episode

Was it ever confirmed who dies?

>contrarians
This is reddit's favorite word and shows how new you are, just go into any of the live Walking Dead threads and watch your assertion fall on its face.

A soap opera with zombies in it. Dropped it when the governor died and should have done it much earlier.

In the comics, yes.

Started off good but once the main story ark was over it got extremely boring. Now it's just going on and on and getting worse with every episode.

Just because redditors like the word doesn't make it any less true

Except it's not true, you're obviously not around on Sup Forums when the show airs. There are a lot of people on this board who unabashedly love it.

they really can't kill off glenn, a cliffhanger for the death of the same person that dies in the comics would be retarded

All the episodes between the prison getting taken down and them getting to Alexandria are a chore to watch, but I otherwise still like the show a lot.

The producers are talking about dragging it out to 12 or even 15 seasons which is a horrible idea.

The end of Episode 1 was amazing.

It's never reached that height again.

Glenn gets Lucilled and Abraham is killed immediately after

not confirmed my dude. just a rumour.

Not as good as the general public acts like it is, but not as shitty as the Game of Thrones dicksuckers on this board pretend it is either.

I quite liked a lot of the show but my taste for it has soured. I think the writers mistook the times where people praised the way they had characters speak in metaphor (i.e Abraham's pancake speech) for them wanting every character to speak that way all the time

It becomes really grating when every single sentence is devoted to speaking in riddle, ham-fistedly expressing deep-seated emotion, or talking about "the way things are".

Who got da bat?

i think its glenn in all honesty. so much evidence to support that. who do you think got killed?

I fucking love it. Gimple's pet character is the ultimate pleb filter.

aaron or glenn. aaron's death would not only raz rick's group who he saved and brought to alexandria in the first place (and fixed daryl's life up with the bike and job), but it would also really trigger the fuck out of the whole town since he's their poster boy

Aaron's death would be completely insignificant and would be forgotten 10 minutes after it happens. Nobody gives a shit if he dies

I actually like the show. It has a few great characters, a stellar cast, fantastic music, sometimes has good writing (though most of the time its shitty), and even though the storylines/characters are majorly different from the comics, the themes of the source material are still there. Season 6 was a disappointment though - only two good episodes (No Way Out and the Morgan flashback), most of it seemed like filler that could've been easily cut in half (gotta blame AMC for stretching out the seasons to 16 episodes), and of course they spent all that time building up Negan and the iconic death scene from the comics only to pull a stupid ass cliffhanger for ratings.

If I waited six months to see Negan kill Aaron or some other red shirt no one really gives a shit about like Eugene I'm dropping the show for good.

it furthers everybodies story, if we get a weak death but it strengthens the story, ill be fine with it

reminder that negan kills eugene. abraham tries to stand up and charge negan but his men restrain him. he tells him to stand down and calls him a "big red-headed baby". negan finishes his speech and the group is separated. half will continue to the hilltop with maggie and the rest will escort negan and his men to alexandria. abraham is on the bus to alexandria so negan can keep a close eye on him. maggie arrives at hilltop and goes into labor/misscarriage something and is rushed into operation. shes cut open and the baby is revealed to be alive but very premature and dies almost immediately.

agreed

this

shit nigga i dont think it eugene.

where did you find that

Just watch 28 days later.

>negan kills eugene

Dropped it after the last season. It was the straw that broke the camels back.

As a whole it was a complete mess of shitty plot contrivances, continuity errors in service of lazy cliffhangers all leading up to a cop out ending that was beyond obnoxious.

If I wanted to tune in week to week to have a show insult my intelligence I'd watch reality television. So I'm done with this wank, I'd recommend not bothering at all.

Its bad but its still somehow fun to watch.
>Ricks Ptsd and Dont give a shit attitude
>Carol the serial killer
>Based Abe and Eugene banter
>Dwight being completely accurate af
>JDM as Negan
The show has great potential but idk why they make some of the dumb decisions they make like the cliffhanger bs

hopefully season 7 will step it up, which i think it will

>Dwight being completely accurate af
kek you talking about when he domed denise? he was covering his ass when he said Durl's crossbow has a helluva kick. If you know the comic and have seen season 6 you can piece together how this dwight has a boner for durl and has spared his life twice in a row now.

this show never fails to triggers /k/

pretty much this

i'll never understand why they moved away from the 6-episode-season formula, could have sped up all the boring shit in s2 and s3 at least

I really do think that may have been a blessing in disguise precisely because it might clean out a lot of people dissatisfied with the show but who were still watching it because (???). A fast thread is nice but a slower thread is more comfy.
key word: might
It might clean out some people. I fully expect 80% of the people who are "fucking done with TWD" to come back and shit up the threads when it comes back. (I can't decide if who I dislike more, the ones who'll keep their word and stop watching but still shitpost, or the ones who'll cave and keep watching it and also still shitpost.)

weak b8

>HURRR LE PLATITUDE OF THE WEEK
>WE *DO* GET TO COME BACK
>THERE IS HOPE FOR A FUTURE
>WE'RE NOT THE WALKING DEADâ„¢
>GOTTA LET THE PAST GO, BURN IT UP WEW!
>I'M NOT THE PERSON I WAS
>I AM THE PERSON I WAS BUT STRONGER
>YOU GOT TO BE STRONK
That shit gets old real quick.

I had to stop watching after 6x12. That's when I realized the show will continue the same trend to an ad nauseam.

Essentially every season follows this path:

>oh shit we need to find shelter
>okay cool we're safe
>oh no someone wants to kill us
>oh shit we need to find shelter
>etc.
>etc.

Except that's wrong you idiot, they're going to stay Alexandria for many more seasons. If it was as you say they would have been gone again after the zombie herd got inside the walls, but they didn't.

You're basically dropping the show at the exact time where it's finally expanding its scope and has stopped being what you describe.

Okay so they stay in Alexandria and build a community?

>The end.

And you want me to continue watching because?

You should continue because Negan is in it now and he will certainly keep things entertaining, and then they go to war with him soon, so at the very least you won't have any faggots complaining that the show is boring.

So Negan fucks shit up and some people live, some people die.

Those that live go on doing the same shit, those that die are fucking dead.

>AMC's The Walking Dead

Congratulations.

That's how I felt with Sons of Anarchy.

Unfortunately I'm one of those faggots who has to stick with a show through till the end. I literally forced myself to watch SoA to get through it. The last 2 seasons I was just bored, but I powered through it.

>I'm a Ride or Die type of nigga when it comes to tv shows.

You're a retard.

Sup Forums treats TWD like Sup Forums (currently) treats Naruto. It's acknowledged that it's shit but people still talk about it because it's enjoyable in a stupid way and they get to collectively make fun of how bad it has become.

Season made me so hopeful lads....

One of the best shows airing.

The season 1 finale where they drive off to an uncertain future as the CDC building burns in the background was pretty damn great too.

Also,
>Season 1 has a quarter of the budget than now
>still looks better

>so at the very least you won't have any faggots complaining that the show is boring.
Looks like the show may well put a good amount of focus on the Kingdom this season from Morgan and Carol's PoV. I expect women and fags that don't care about the show really to moan those weeks.

Because now it isn't just formulaic going from one place to another and this is the point in which the comics finally gets interesting and builds something that resembles an actual plot.

1>5>4=2>6>3

God damn why are you the best tripfag that ever lived? Mad props to you my brother

Actually after Negan the story does a timeskip and starts with an arc called A New Beginning. This is where Kirkman decided to start structuring the story differently. The map expands a fuckload and the perspectives get way spread out like it's a Song of Ice and Fire or some shit.

I'm honestly not sure why Sup Forums still hates it. I understand during the days of season 2 up through 4.

But 5 was generally considered good. And 6 had moments of pure kino. The buildup to Negan was amazing and the finale overall was good except for the cliffhanger which I think most people have gotten over by now.

On a binge:
6 > 5A > 3A > 1 > 5B > 2 > 4B > 4A > 3B

I wish Frank Darabont was never fired

that's probably why they alternate between that and the opposite, and also disillusionment about both sides and being wrong about various other things, and also action and death

you're hilarious
people will be bitching about that cliffhanger for years
anyway to answer the OP, I really like it, but then I'm inured to stupidity that outstrips pretty much everything you see on major TV shows

>r which I think most people have gotten over by now.

nope. they fucked up the most memorable and significant moment of the walking dead - even if the TV show manages to reach other milestone moments, they've made their intentions with the show clear by permanently tarnishing the integrity of the show as a greedy views grabbing move (do they even need to secure those views??)

I want to fuck Chan Chan's boipucci, desu.

Be careful, the mods seem to hate Chandler-posting for some reason, ive been temp banned for it

Are they friends, now?

Quality: 4/10
Fun: 8/10

It's definitely watchable.

You're a fake Krager and I don't recognize your tripfagness

It would've been great on HBO

t. Frank Darabont

Maybe you should've used your weight to create your own zombie series instead of trying to hijack someone else's brand.

>t. Frank Darabont
Surely it's his fault they chose to make the show deviate from the good parts of the comics in the most autistic way.

Lizzie ;_;

The show is bad but the comics are pretty good though why you say that?

Season 1 had the highest budget IIRC and that's relative to the amount of episodes.

the comics are shit
the plot is just as nonsensical and the drawings are horrible

Should I binge watch this on Netflix while on summer vacation?

It clearly was, though. Are you trying to be sarcastic?

>fired five years ago
>his fault the show went to shit later on
Are you retarded?

Lmao this thing is still on??
Season 1 was pure kino
2 was literal shit
3 was ok
Stopped a little bit into 4
The games are much better

So have I.
Didn't stop me from posting more Chan-Chan.
