I haven't heard much of the black album, I will once I finish my current listening of master of puppets.
You seriously need to ask?

Kill em all
Ride the Lightning is definitely their best album and anyone who hates on that album probably thinks they're tough for liking Reign in Blood.
Justice
Ride the Lightning or And Justice For All.
Always preferred this one
You posted it though Kill 'Em All is also acceptable.
Hardwired to Self Destruct was surprisingly fantastic, one of the better metal albums of last year.
back in black
Kill 'Em All and Justice
Master of Puppets, only because there is no better opener than Battery.
AJFA
Justice For All
Kill Em All
Master of Puppets > And Justice For All > Ride The Lightning > Kill 'em All > s/t
OP has it right.
It has the perfect combination of raw thrash, gifted song writing, and melodic riffs
Implying Metallica was good after they stopped playing at San Francisco dive bars.
he doesn't think ....And Justice was good.
your opinions have been voided, m8.
that lookz like shit
Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, and ...And Justice For All are ALL my favorites, for different reasons, and depending on my mood, any one of them can be my #1.
That said, Ride The Lightning was my intro to 80's Metallica, for that it holds a sentimental edge in my mind. The title track is probably a solid contender for THE architypical thrash metal song as well, so there's that, too.
