This movie looks like it has so much potential.

I have a friend who has done that with movies and then he tells me "Why did they do this part or this part? and I am like "Did you even fucking watch the whole thing?" I've seen the trailers, I was not convinced. Didn't seem like something I would enjoy as a fan of the original Ghostbusters. I'll wait for the reviewers I usually look up, if they say its good I'll think about it but even then I might just wait later on and pirate it or catch it on cable/netflix one day.

There is no point in seeing a movie blindy when you already didn't like a trailer. A trailer is supposed to sell you on the movie, to get you excited to watch it. If it doesn't chances are unless you hear it from friends or reviewer/critics then you shouldn't bother wasting your time and money watching a movie you're not sold on.

That kind of mentality is why we still get soulless remakes and reboots, because hollywood knows fuckers like you will still go see the movie based on the name alone.

No, the original ghostbusters is about professors who resort to working a blue collar job of being essentially a fancier exterminator and the hilary of the situation between this disparity.

Also it depicted a blue collar job as something glamorous and showed that despite getting dirty, you're doing something to save the city every day. The fact that this point of view in movies is very rare at the time and was popular due to it.

Saw it at Youtube HQ. The trailer was bad but the movie is a blast, everyone around me laughed hard all the time. Solid 9/10 and definitely best comedy of this summer.
