Found this on my normie book
What do you think, Sup Forums?
Found this on my normie book
I think women and seamen don't mix.
Replace Carey and Hart with Wahlberg and The Rock.
replace them by 4 Idris Elba and you have a winner
Ghostbusters is a mediocre franchise and should have been left in the eighties. However, if Hollywood insists on milking it dry, and you manbabies insist on never letting go of your childhood, then I see no reason why we can't have a mixed-gender group with actually funny actors.
>no steve carrel
>no jack black
only carrey saves that sorry ass list
Aisha Tyler
Jonah Hill
Mclovin
Channing Tatum
Aisha Tyler and Mclovin hook up in the film. Tatum and Hill do their Jump Street routine
Would buy tickets for.
I know you're joking, but who's supposed to be the straight man in that lineup? Jonah?
kevin spacey
chris rock
steve zahn
john cusack
morgan freeman
OP here, Im not joking, i just saw this on my facebook & wanted to see the reaction.
Personally i think the movie looks corny, uninteresting & prolly filled to the brim with cring scenes.
Im just a guy on his phone who likes to spectate these Sup Forums debates, very entertaining & interesting.
...
could work
Seriously, a ghostbusters remake just shows how desperate studios are for blockbusters
>Crossposting from facebook
>prolly
>very entertaining & interesting
Filthy dumb phoneposting scum.
Where is the 9gag watermark
...
The entire premise of ghostbusters is heroes that don't fit the usual hero mold.
If they look like action stars they shouldn't be ghostbusters.
That's the one thing they got right, not getting anyone that looks like they could kick ass. They should be funny though.
there shouldn't be a new ghostbusters in the first place
Too white.
Actually not bad. Might have even appeased the feminists.
If they wanted to make a succesful female ghostbusters. they should have gotten Gillian Anderson, Halle Berry, Jenny McCarthy and Christina Applegate and this was just off a random name generator and is still better cast than the new one.
Jonah should play the giant monster instead.
This thread needs more image.jpg
replace Jim with Kristen Wiig
>Sup Forums debates hold actual value.
A new Ghostbusters should be closely developed by the leads themselves just like the original, to ensure the project captures their energy and humor perfectly.
It shouldn't be a hastily assembled retread written by two people who don't seem to understand the appeal of the original, and starring their own hand-picked team to come in and read scripts poorly.
Imagine a version written by and starring the cast of Always Sunny, or the cast of Reno 911. Hell, get the Seinfeld gang in with Larry David at the helm. If Wiig and McCarthy wrote the script, I would be so much more confident that the movie might not be a complete waste of time.
This is surprisingly based.
pointless post but the guys who directed 21 Jump Street should have directed if Ivan Reitman wasn't allowed.
I'm thinking two Jonahs and two Channings, like two sets of twins. I enjoyed the Jump Streets and I see a lot of comedy there
I still can't figure out why everyone likes those Jumpstreet movies.
they were decent comedies. You'd have to be a weirdo or try really hard not to like them.
Me either.
Just let them date.
Time offers perspective.
I was all for female ghostbusters. Why not? But not like this. This remake of original looks bad. Why not make a movie in already established ghostbusters universe? About four woman, lets say one is smart, other is lets say single mother, one is hot as fuck, basically all of them aree diffrent (i.e. not 3 smart girls and one who "knows the city") answering a job interview at ghostbuaters, and right then shit hits the fan, making for comedy.
I belive that concept would be better.
>Paul Rudd
>Steve Carell
>Jonah Hill
>Idris Elba
Carrey is the only solid choice here. The rest are awful.
replace the shit rock
Holy shit The Rock as a Ghostbusters would be so awesome.
But Kevin Hart should stay
>normie book
so youre a fucking normie
piss off
is the rock the 2k-kids' hulk hogan?
Will nad Jim are too old
I would either do:
>Ghostbusters 3
>Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray teach two, new younger ghostbusters, I think some super smart young guy to fill up the shoes of Egon and Emma Stone being this normie type character and filling out the women quota
>Ghosbusters (2016)
>a remake of the original, I dunno with who, I think Jonah Hill playing Akroyd's part would be good, but dunno about anyone else.
POO
Suburban Commando remake when?
Jim Carrey
Kevin Hart
James Franco
Seth Rogan
IT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN REMADE AT ALL
How about Hollywood coming up with some OC instead of swiping other people's shit for remaking?
Replace Zoe with Aisha.
let's make a female ghosbusters we all would like to watch
>Anna Kendrick
>Emma Stone
>Rooney Mara
>Ella Fanning
Kendrick would be this spunky, sarcastic leader, Stone would be voice of reason, Rooney would be this autistic genius that talks shit all the time but somehow comes up with genius inventions despite all reason and Elle would be a newcommer, constantly teased by Kendrick.
NO
also, I would change the plot a bit
Kendrick, Stone and Roon-Roon would be 3 childhood friends. The movie would start with all 3 as kids making a trip to an abondend house, only to be spooked by some ghosts. Years later, all 3 are collage students that fail their final thesis because they created a device to capture ghosts, which of course, is deemed useless by their professor. They decide to start Ghostbusters instead. Halfway through the movie, they are joined by highschool student Elle that needs high school credits so she joins them as a sort of an intern.
>The Rock is the smartest one of them
>Wears wire frame glasses the whole movie
Swoonkino...
Terrible
>meme actors
no
Kys.
You have shit taste.
I hate you so much
fuck off
This.
carrey and ferrell's comedy doesn't jive in fact they clash. jonah would get ignored whenever those 2 on the are on the screen
this is the original new ghostbusters we were pitching for. had an eye on boyega back then but sadly we were turned down for the all female cast
I like the Rock, but I feel like he'd draw too much attention with his out of place looks, similar to what said.
Aside from that, pretty good. Would watch.
Could even replace the Rock with a woman. I don't care as long as they don't parade it around as the messiah of Hollywood.
Everyone there is too similar. You need someone like Steve Carrell to be the believable straight man and shit like that
Relax. I like Zoe Saldana as much as the next person but she's never shown she can be funny.
Just use funny women instead
>Stephanie Weir
>Mo Collins
>Christa Flannigan
>Nicole Sullivan
And Bobby Lee as the receptionist. Wait, needs a black woman, there was a few on mad TV but don't remember names. Keegan Michael key in drag how about
...
Replace rob with David Spade and I'm in
Danny McBride
Will Ferrell
John C. Reilly
Craig Robinson or Jonah Hill
I haven't really liked Aziz ever since he did that 'favorite racial slurs' bit and pussied out of saying 'prairie nigger.' Hearing a comedian say 'Prairie n-word! You believe that?! LOL' is just pathetic.
>people are posting under the assumption that remaking it is still okay
Fucking millenials
gulfelitemag.com
brobible.com
there shouldn't be any new ghostbusters... leave it the fuck alone.
>Chris Tucker
>Martin Lawrence
>Eddie Murphy
>Michael Cera
With the girl who played precious in precious, based on the novel push by Sapphire, as the secretary.
Jim Carrey is on a totally different level to these guys in acting ability and he'd be wasted if he was cast next to these tryhards.
These 3 + Hardwick would be my perfect cast
> established comedians
> nerd cred
> knows the shit out of the 80s and the original movie
I hate you
fuck this gay earth im killing myself if this is supposed to be anywhere near as good of a lineup as Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis
No way.
/thread
You need someone sarcastic and dry, someone earnest and enthusiastic, someone very dry and strange, and an everyman to be an audience avatar, while still being funny in his own right. they need to have chemistry with each other and play off each other easily. They also can't be so big they wouldn't work well with the others or overshadow the other 3, it has to be an ensemble cast.
Out of that list only Emma Stone is capable of being funny.
Comedy is in a very bad place right now.
I agree with this, but Mark Wahlberg can do "average guy" pretty convincingly and he's seriously underappreciated for comedy if utilised right - I wouldn't oppose having him as a new ghostbuster
I didn't even have a problem with it being women, the least they could do is get funny ones.
Morgan Murphy
Iliza shlesinger
Sarah Silverman (fuck off she tells the jokes most comics wont then uses her feminazi privilege to get away with it)
Andi Osho
these are just 4
women who are objectively better comedians and would have been a better ghostbuster casting than the one we got
Chris I'm happy that you're no longer fat and are successful, but know your boundaries dude. No way you can act. Back to red it now
kek, I would love to see Jackie chan talking about ghosts and shit
>New Ghostbusters
>Two 50 year old guys who peaked 20 years ago
15 years ago maybe
...
He's got good comic timing, but he can't play a scientist. Couldn't even manage science teacher without coming across as actually brain damaged. Walberg for cameos or receptionist at best, Channing Tatum is a better choice.
add a chick and id watch this... maybe Sarah Silverman or Maria Bamford.
...
Righteous choice user
I'd watch the ever loving shit out this.
>Channing Tatum
>scientist
>motherfucker argues Wahlberg wouldn't be a believable smartypants
>OK
>he argues Tatum could do it
>mfw
Channing Tatum could totally do scientist. Just needs a hair-cut, some thin-rimmed glasses and his good looks/body to get worked into the plot and jokes.
You gotta give the women some eye candy, gone are the days of old Bill Murray nailing every 10/10 in his movies.
>Wahlberg wouldn't be a believable smartypants
Wahlbergs already proved he can't do it with that garbage heap The Happening. Tatum has range.
I don't think there should have been another ghostbuster movie. It doesn't work with anyone else.
WHAT if it had to be gals? My picks would be Emma stone, Greta gerwing, Aubrey plaza and Jessica Williams
my name is JEFF jajajaja
>Bryce Dallas-Howard
>Emily Blunt
>Eva Green
>Jessica Chastain
user, pls
Pride Prejudice and Zombies was boring as fuck
Olivia Coleman
Aubrey Plaza
Natasha Legarro
And based Imelda Staunton
This would be prime.
Only decent answer so far
Jerry Seinfeld
Jason Alexander
Julia Louis Dreyfus
Michael Richards
Larry David as the receptionist
Wayne Knight as Zuul
Yeah, a wig and some glasses would be all he could do about it.
Yeah, Wahlberg can't do it well and Wahlberg 2.0 can't do it well either.
