AZ's guest verse on this album is indisputably the greatest of all time. Indis-fucking-putibaly.

The Slim Shady LP
The Marshall Mathers LP

>The Marshall Mathers LP
...No...no no. No. No.
"No"

Black on Both Sides

>ATLiens
>Aquemini

Honestly, Stankonia, too. And probably Speakerboxxx. Fucking Outkast, man.

>implying Eminem isn't the greatest of all time

...

He really REALLY isn't.

I can post 3 obvious reasons why but I've already posted it so many times before.

ok post them faggot

Hell Hath no Fury

just a taste thing, but I don't like Em's mic persona or lyrical themes

like 8 nas's

its the closest there is to a consensus on best of all time

You cannot have a dud streak this bad and consider yourself the greatest.

You can still be good, of course, but sure as hell not "the greatest"

9

Name one (1) other rapper with a streak as good as:

>SSLP
>MMLP
>TES

Eric B. & Rakim

It took me one minute to think of this.

I mean, Outkast has already been mentioned. It is a very good streak, though. That's true.

...Dude, I was NOT complimenting Encore, Relapse, and Recovery.

For fuck sake I called it a 'dud streak'.

Midnight Marauders, Aquemini and Liquid Swords in that order.

Any album by OutKast.

eminem is considered by many rappers to be the best rapper

lmao I should've read the thread first. I was just looking at the albums people were posting.

He's good a funny and well spoken. Sure he has made some awful projects. But most rappers agree they can't compete with him.

Upper middle class white rappers, sure

*He's good at being
Massive brain fart.

Usually they say he's the best lyricist.

No way he's the best rapper. Terrible flow, shit voice and too many tracks where he tries to be funny.

I'm not arguing he's not good.

He has made plenty of songs I enjoy.
I just think it's a stretch to call him the 'very best' when he's made so much awful stuff.

And the "Well X likes him" argument is an awful one. Just because another rapper/celebrity likes him doesn't mean everyone else has to.

Lots of rappers like Young Thug. 50 Cent was backed as 'a great' by Eminem and Dre for years. Does that make THEM 'some of the best'?

People's instinctive travels and the paths of rhythm

the low end theory

midnight marauders

Liquid Swords

Neither are individual rappers. Both are rap bands.

Kendrick doesn't consider Section.80 to be an album lol. Try again fag.

>Kendrick doesn't consider Section.80 to be an album
Where the hell did you read this?
Pretty much everyone considers Section.80 his debut studio album.

When did that become a disqualifier for rap albums?

Literally anywhere. He always refers to TPAB as his second album. Other people call S.80 his first, but he doesn't.

I hold young thug in high esteem, 50s ok but keep in mind eminem and dre were trying to sell him
There are videos on youtube where rappers talk about how they don't like featuring eminem because he kills everyone on their own tracks and it's super embarasing
If you're better than everyone else that makes you the best

I was specifically talking about individual rappers because we were discussing whether Eminem was the GOAT.

Give me one source. Any source where he says it's not his first album.

Well think about when most of those interviews were. I'm guessing these were around when Em was at his peak (1999-2003). I'll admit I could be wrong about that. But there's a possibility some rappers changed their mind about that after his dud streak.

Also that's just guest verses. I'll admit he does great on those, but that doesn't' change the fact a lot of his solo projects can be pretty lackluster.

Oh, I see you emphasized the "one" there. Thought you were doing it like "name one, just ONE..."

hmm yeah if k dot's out then it's tougher

for my tastes, danny brown has had a better streak, but only because I think SSLP is a little weaker than most people seem to think

but yeah, point taken

if duos are out, then for most people, em probably has the best 3 album streak--unless folks say kanye

What's the appeal to Young Thug ?

>Implying section 80 is good

I LOVE THE WAY YOUUUU PUT IT ON YOUR EYESSSS (emo voice)

how does that matter at all? it's still a full length project.

Well, I'll admit I was wrong.

I just think it's weird as hell Kendrick doesn't consider Section 80 an album. Why does he say it's not an album when everyone else does?

TIL if an album has one bad song it's not a good album.

That's unfortunate. Gotta throw out a lot of albums now. There's a whole song I don't like on them. That means I hate them all now.

36 Chambers
Ready To Die
Liquid Swords
Paul's Boutique
Black Sunday
Jazzmatazz Volume 1
Quality Control
Return Of The Boom Bap
Low End Theory

Not many can top illmatic, but it isn't impossible.

He made a mixtape, but then sold it like one would an album. I think he just doesn't consider it to be the quality he wants his albums to be.

>"hurr durr TIL"

Yeah because I said that one bad song = bad album

Oh wait, I didn't? You just said that? oh

I can point you to a couple more on S80 if you want?

Tammys Song

Keishas song (also has a trash hook put there purely for pleb appeal)

Is three enough or should I peruse this album and remember what other songs make it incredibly overrated?

nwa's second album is infinitely better than their first, just saying

...

The spiteful chant is also terrible lol

>cause "hurr durr" is such a great counter, right

How the flying fuck is Keisha's song a bad song?

Are you really trying to say 3K and Big Boi can't stand on their own?

Facts

Aquemini is godly, love ATLiens too.

>Let's avoid an argument and just point out something trivial you said

I just said. That hook is terrible and lets not forget that the songs story has been done better decades ago

I didn't avoid the argument. I asked you a question about part of your argument right after.

A hook shouldn't be enough to completely degrade a song.

Just because another song 'did it better' doesn't mean the other song can't be good.

>"one bad song cant ruin an album"
>gives three
>"one bad hook cant ruin a song"

noticing a pattern here

ATCQ first three

We're not talking about the album at this point. We're talking specifically about Keisha's song. I never disagreed with you about Tammy's Song or No Make Up. I'm trying to get your reasoning for why the song is terrible and you're giving weak reasons.

>a terrible hook isn't enough for me to not like a song
>enjoying a 2pac song that was way better isn't enough of a reason

Would you like a fucking paper on why I don't like it?

Relapse is gr8 and so is encore pleb

>enjoying a 2pac song that was way better isn't enough of a reason
It REALLY isn't.

When 2 songs are similar you don't have to flat out hate/dislike the weaker one. I can at LEAST understand the 'terrible hook' part but that doesn't really take up that much of the song.

The verses are more important, wouldn't you agree?

A hook can completely destroy a song for me

The fact that 2pac did it better is just icing on the cake

>A hook can completely destroy a song for me
That seems completely silly but alright, back to the point about the album.

What other 'bad songs' would you say are on there? Just the 3 you listed or are there more?

Because if just those 3, that still leaves the other 13 songs, which would make it at the very least a good album. Not 'perfect', but good.

Tpab is shit

>That seems completely silly you don't like a song because part of the song is really terrible, so silly!

Blow my high is boring

Ronald Reagan era is boring

see

Do you need more songs as "proof" of why this album is overrated? or am I just pissing in the wind because we both know you're going to disagree with me no matter what points I come with?

You serious?

>Take Care
>Nothing Was the Same
>If You're Reading This It's Too Late

Kanye West: 808s, MBDTF, Yeezus

Kendrick: GKMC, TPAB, Untitled Unmastered

Run the Jewels 1, 2, 3

Eminem is pure shit

>you don't like a song because part of the song is really terrible
Yes, a very small section of the song that doesn't affect the verses.

At the very least I can see why you would think that about the songs.

>we both know you're going to disagree with me no matter what points I come with?
Of course that's whats gonna happen. What I say won't make you love the album. What you say won't make me hate it. The goal is to get a better understanding of one's views. You stated your dislike of section.80, I wondered why, you stated.

We both obviously disagree with eachother but that's not gonna convince either of us.

>2Pacalypse Now
>Strictly 4 My NIGGAZ
>Me Against the World

Smh. How you gonna forget It Takes a Nation you fool
