Just keep listening to Coil.

Safe as Milk, obviously

I'm not the guy who posted the chart, I've never even posted in a chart thread but you're a fucking retard for this:
>"LOOK I LOVE BOTH NOISECORE, RADIO POP AND CLASSICAL MUSIC" "LOOK AT HOW PATRICIAN MY TASTE IS".

He's a cool dude and he has probably heard more music than you (2.5k~ albums)

...

Lol eat my shit cunt, think I give a fuck what some retard like you thinks? No. In fact, I dare say I don't care what you think at all. Get fucked.

...

why are you so mad?

Cause he actually cares, a lot, even though he claims otherwise

this chart is okay
WAKA FLAKA FLAME WAKA FLAKA FLAME WAKA FLAKA FLAME WAKA FLAKA FLAME I like that jpop album you have in your top 10, it's actually pretty good. I see some other pretty interesting stuff in here too. Interesting chart. It's funny how everyone likes that byzyntyn chanting unintentional industrial album.

for the guy last time who asked for my rym, it's mei256 if you're still here

nice
have you heard any Momus? Most people have only heard Circus Maximus but if you want a little more electronic, pop and distortion, check out either his last few (glyptotheck, scobberlotchers) or first few (don't stop the night, the poison boyfriend)

they're usually on youtube in some capacity; Momus puts all his new stuff on Youtube first now

check out shoji aketagawa's other stuff
you may like some things from my chart, not sure
also, Disco By Night by Anthony Coleman

Do you have any classical recs? Not specific to me necessarily, but for some reason I haven't ventured much further than bartok, bach, kurtag and schonberg

you've probably heard it but tim hecker has some albums which I think are better
check out Lamp and some stuff by jurg frey
if you're at all in a piano jazz mood, Paul Bley - Open to Love?

of Montreal?

Low, Aerial M

no bully, it's possible to have varying tastes and not be elitist about it man

> It's funny how everyone likes that byzyntyn chanting unintentional industrial album.
I'm and I would have put le macedonian chant in my top 10 if I hadn't gotten sick of playing it

>for the guy last time who asked for my rym, it's mei256 if you're still here
yeah I'm still here, I'm the chart right above you.

To be honest that's my favorite bartok album, on my chart. the takacs string quartet is the best recording I've heard of the string quartets. I feel like it's the only one that truly captures the intensity. I've compared a lot of other bartok string quartet recordings. I'm not a huge fan of his orchestral stuff.

For Bach, I would check out
the art of fugue - emerson string quartet
the cello suites, by Pierre Fournier, yo yo ma, or Mstislav Rostropovich
concerto for 2 violins - (I'm not sure who the "best" artist for this recording is, but I listen to hilary hahn)

I'm not familiar with kurtag, I actually downloaded that album off of your chart.

For schonberg, I was never a huge fan, but I really like string quartet no. 2 part III and IV. The vocals on those pieces are insane. That's from an album called

schoenberg complete string quartets - julliard string quartet

Another schoenberg album which is pretty alright

hilary hahn - schoenberg / sibelius violin concertos

there's also the karajan orchestral recording

Verklärte Nacht, Pelleas und Melisande - herbert von Karajan

also for bach, there's the glenn gould goldberg variations which launched glenn gould into legendary status.

cheers man, I'll check them out

>He's a cool dude
Maybe.
>and he has probably heard more music than you (2.5k~ albums)
Maybe
I don't really count how much music I've ever heard.
I think I'm at 5k? Not sure though.

I'm not this guy I have basically no interest in Electronic music or Pop so I think I'll try Circus Maximus.

Hello my dudes.

Give me your very best, I'm new to this.

You generally give recs before you get them.

just some albums i like. recs please.

Eric's Trip - Love Tara

Collin Olan - Rec01

Musette - Datum

The Go! Team - Thunder Lightning Strike

currently listening to my recs from the previous threads I posted in. So far I loved Be Your Own Pet - S/T and The Raspberries - Starting Over. I listened to Big Star - #1 Record/Radio City, which I've listened to several times in the past. I always try it again to see if it clicks, and there are several songs I think are excellent (the really obvious ones like September Gurls and Thirteen), but the other half of the albums just fades to the background for me.

I updated my chart slightly. I highly recommend The Academy Is... - Fast Times at Barrington High to anyone who likes power pop or pop punk, especially stuff like Weezer, Fountains of Wayne, Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy etc. The lyrics are dumb high school and girls shit but the melodies are INFECTIOUS. Been listening to it nearly every day for the past three months after reading a lone 5-star review of it on RYM.
