I resent the lack of Brakhage or other directors I personally enjoy like Baruchello and Grifi, but it's overall pretty good. Saved to look at them all in time.
Most pretentious list I've ever seen. Delete this post please
I can't, you posted in it
They're all good films, though.
seen them all shite like
Doesn't have any Paul Thomas Anderson films.
That's a good thing.
>dude I just watched a spell to ward off the darkness lmao
Actually I haven't, I've seen Russell's documentaries and Rivers's Two Years At Sea. A friend of mine keeps telling me to watch it, though.
It's just a list of someone's favorite films. A true "essential" list would be either a compilation of critics' favorite films, or a list of the most influential films of all time.
many of the films are not the director's best works, and are instead just chosen because they're lesser known.
easy
it makes me really insecure
There's an argument to be made for Tarnation to be on that list, I think.
like?
>vampyr
>la chinoise
>level five
>late spring
>abraham's valley
>johnny guitar
>the minh
>menilmontant
>not essential to cinema
top pleb m8
>Carl The Dryer
Those movies don't even exist. You just wrote some foreign sounding shit and stuck it next to low grade stock images.
Step it up
i love this, shame /film/ is not getting made
nice director choices, though it's missing some
Erice, Shimizu, Pudovkin, Nakajima, Kaul, Robbe-Grillet, Bing, Lang, Monteiro, Tarkovsky
but it's pretty good, think i''ve seen them all but All That Heaven Allows and Love Streams
>Carl Theodor Dreyer
>Not existing
How brain damaged can one person be.
is this the shittiest bate of all time?
it was a pretty obvious joke
His brother Carl The Destroyer was a talented painter
I'm not sure which to remove to make room for the Emperor's New School, but that's a start.
I don't want to be a pleb, Advise me please an interesting movies.
