however I agree that this is their best album, their most recent album is great too. It has the same vibe for me as American idiot has but with a bit more of a modern twist.

American Idiot is definitely a high point in their career. Say what you want about it but it was them actually innovating for the first time in like 8 years at the time. After they released it though, they just watered down the sound with their next releases to the point where it became unbearable.

21st Century Breakdown was their best post-Warning album. The non-punk songs on American Idiot were really bad. On 21CB at least they had purpose
