i've been looking for a genre i heard about in one of these threads. it was a short lived hardcore punk subgenre characterized by crossdressing/androgyny/homoeroticism and a focus on a party atmosphere.

I recall that Valley Drive album (forget who it actually ended up being - the album that some user "found" on a USB drive) that was best described as "experimental tribal ambient electronic."

Mathcore isnt even an obscure genre. Lots of mathcore bands are somewhat popular, like The Fall of Troy, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Converge
