Just like with a taxi driver, and Uber driver has zero obligation to take the passenger anywhere but to their requested destination, which is input before the trip, any changes post-pickup do not have to be honoured by the driver, if you knew anything about taxi drivers or in this case Uber you'd know as much.

You can choose at any time, Legally i might add, to remove a passenger from your vehicle if they are making you uncomfortable or being inappropriate. Its our rights as drivers. Don't be rude to your uber/lyft :p I've stopped rides before and let people out on the side of the road.
