Just about died at these parts.

It didn't have big Hollywood branding to go with it.

It had a limited release and a below average marketing campain. But I feel like this is the kind of movie that would do very well on netflix.

I dunno, buddy cop movies rely on the chemistry between the two leads and the last few recent buddy cop movies have been severely lacking to say the least. Perhaps people were unsure if Gosling and Crowe would make it work this time around.

I personally loved it, and while I liked all the performances, Gosling completely made the movie for me.

It came out alongside capeshit so retards decided they no longer enjoy original ideas and instead prefer rehashed garbage

The target audience is adult men who are too busy doing shit to go to the theaters.

Nah, it's just not in style anymore. Also for me, I don't like movies set in LA cause they always feel a little masturbatory and insular. I don't live in LA, I don't have any kind of appreciation or understanding of LA or Hollywood life, films that focus on it are not interesting to me even a little.
