I think they're extremely underrated. Critics always compare them to the Beatles which is unfair.
What does Sup Forums think of Wings?
"Wings were shit" - Paul McCartney
I'm a fan of the mango habanero sauce
>trusting Paul McCartney's opinions on anything post-1983.
Wings were the band The Beatles could have been
TEMPORARY
Much better than people gave them credit for. The only bad thing about Wings was Linda!
As far as their solo careers
McCartney >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Harrison > Lennon >>> Starr (Ringo is good, Goodnight Vienna is okay)

They were a rather androgynous couple
It's not androgynous when they look like two brothers doing a short comedic theatre sketch
or two ugly sisters
No. Stop trying to pass that shit off as androgynous.

here's the thing, and I'm an old fuck. When they broke up, everyone assumed that Paul would have a great solo career and John would have very uneven output but with some great hits. That came to pass.
What surprised a lot of fans was George. Shouldn't have, since he wrote many of the best Beatles songs, but "All Things Must Pass" really came out of nowhere and stunned everyone.
Wings is just what everyone expected Paul to produce: chart topping albums with lots of hit singles. But you can really tell that what he and John and George had together was something special. It showed.
Don't believe this guy he's my dad
