it's tough- i'm an artist by hobby too. i used to have a nice big gore folder from Sup Forums that i used to render dead females in a painting. i always struggled with it because the distortion just looks odd and is clunky as a model. i recommend blending non-gore models with reference material like meat from the store if you want to see all the colors and shadows... good luck user, don't listen to philistine haters
