Yeah, I have very few people that I talk to now but they're all super good friends. It's not like I dislike people finding me attractive either. It gives me an ego boost at the very least, but there's only one person's opinion I care about now.
Finances will be a weird issue, I think. Right now I'm a little in the hole myself because I'm a broke student. I'm thinking of picking up some freelance jobs over the next year if I can though.

Sounds like your head and heart are in the right place then, always a good thing. In my case it was distancing myself from people who thought that I was a walking ATM machine, or people looking for a way into easy money.
Finances isn't too difficult if you got a plan, discipline, and are willing to give things time. Starting off broke isn't bad when you can be broke and in debt from student loans and whatnot.
