damn post gets buried in last thread. anyway i got a 550 euro guitar on sale for 350 because its april so you guys should check your local shops.
Daniel Allen
headless guitars = homo
Jonathan Long
im trying to understand how to use these stuff cause i cant make any slightly advanced progressions myself "just going for what sounds good to the ear"
yeah, not augmented root, its b9, thats right A7b9/C#
so, to get something useful out of this when i can use a diminushed chord to go up one step in chords? like the interval on iii to vi or vi to v
You can use diminished chords resolving to the chord a semitone higher the same way you can use secondary dominants to go to the chord that's a fourth higher/fifth lower.
Charles Nelson
great thanks did i say something?
Parker Lee
youtu.be/peNUTfN1dxo whats so bad with that cover is it just user posting himself
Leo Green
Has anyone here broken out of the Rockist Guitar Mold? How did you do it?
Julian Mitchell
Rate my pedals
Connor Phillips
me on the left
Dominic Murphy
Ok /gg/.
I have a zoom g9.2tt. It turns on but screen stays blank. Doesnt load up. Doesnt work.
Any clue what is wrong? Power supply? Tubes? ROM died?
That terra echo is dope, never played the other one.
Wyatt Jones
internal battery is dead?
Sebastian Edwards
Doesnt have one. Probably just have to send it off to zoom or something.
Cameron Morales
why
Lincoln Wood
When you say it turns on, what do you mean? The screen lights up but stays blank?
Cameron White
Guitarist hate anything new and different. Its why amp modelers emulate existing tube amps instead of just making their own sounds.
Carson Cox
>song in A >capo on the 2nd fret Wtf? Is it tuned to some open tuning? youtu.be/T-oLgkN1xjw
Benjamin Gutierrez
oh i see
Juan Moore
that singer got my gringo dick hard
Samuel Collins
What did i break
Jose Stewart
>song in A >capo on the 2nd fret Wtf? Is it tuned to some open tuning? youtu.be/T-oLgkN1xjw
Juan Nelson
Gonna off myself soon
Ryan Powell
Neato.
Elijah Carter
Where your capo is has nothing to do with in what key you play. It only affects chord voicings that use open strings.
Isaiah Wright
Yes i fucking know that Why he would put a capo in the second fret to play in A if it would just prevent him from playing an open a and make it worse
Juan Ross
Also, recommend me some more Japanese pedal makers, preferably of good quality and reasonable prices. I'd love to get my hands on the Barbarossa stuff but dunno how, and they seem expensive.
Brody Nguyen
Selling a shitload of stuff to make way for a new amp.
Odds on me being able to get enough £££ for a Blackface DRRI with all these going?
Thomas Perez
Ibanez Vestax (rare as fuck but really good)
Jose Taylor
You don't need to play that open A chord voicing if you're in A.
Elijah Scott
What's a good beginner guitar for jazzy stuff?
Ian Adams
A lot of swirled guitars look pretty ugly to me, but that one turned out nicely.
Anthony Jenkins
The 2nd fret notes on every string are also in the key of A.
Josiah Sullivan
Where's my bedroom black metal brothers at?
Elijah Campbell
What's your price range senpai. Anyways can't go wrong with an Ibanez Semi-hollow
Luke Robinson
yes but you cant do a open a with the open string that capo just prevents you from doing that WHY he would do that
Andrew Turner
Why do you hate Yngwie? He's a good songwriter, and at his prime he was doing things musically that few others were.
Juan Smith
Because open A has been played 6 million times and he thinks it would be a real gas to try some alternative chord voicings?
Nicholas Evans
soft max: $300 hard max: $400 I don't want to commit too much, just beginner jazz stuff. Just want something to do some noodley shit with since my current guitar has very large gauge strings and I filed the nut out a little so they'd fit.
Kayden Lopez
I can't play the first fret on my bass, is it time for new strings?
Robert Torres
>selling a fuzz factory
Brody Powell
Probably no because in other songs he does chords with root note included Like on this one for example (on the verses) youtube.com/watch?v=ViDRDE8ViFg
James Fisher
The only reasonable thing he did was the concert with the Japanese Orchestra. I use to think he was the only good fast guitarist, but I realized how bland his writing is when I listened to his stuff without watching him. His video performances are alright, but overall I just don't like his following. Maybe part of it is because I was friends with a guy in highschool, named after a stratocastor, who to this day worships the guy. Kid could shred like nobodies business, even teaches now and has a cult following on facebook, but the kid ONLY shreds. The kid can sweep all 7 modes faster than he can unzip his pants but he has zero emotion. When his dad was playing for me and my friend in his studio, he was playing some real heart bound jazz fusion/blues stuff, and the kid interrupts him and asks him to do a sweep he did when he played with Chris impeliteri. Long story short it made me really begin to hate shredders, and Yngwie just happens to be the one I see more and more people worship but neglect someone like David Gilmour or Townes who tied playing with composition like bread and butter.
Benjamin White
Hey, what do I look like, capable of looking up these pedals on ebay and basic addition?
David Collins
Not worth it mate, its a toy fuzz.
Anthony Edwards
Estimates on most of these vary wildly - the amp in particular; have seen these go for as low as £300 but as high as £650
Levi Murphy
Maybe it's because he doesn't need to play this voicing and he knows open string vocabulary in G that uses open strings, that he wants to play in this song.
Andrew Moore
Real drummer? Or are you also drummer?
David Bell
It's time for a setup senpai. What's wrong with the instrument? Strings too high or do they buzz too much?
Ian Ward
haha no I'm just jamming over a Paul Motian solo. I wish I had a drummer that was anywhere near that good.
Tyler Harris
ok
Ethan Murphy
Reposting since nobody gave a shit last time.
I'm the retard with the meme A7X guitar that makes videogame covers.
R8 my newest piece, I feel like my audio quality has improved a lot since I started recording one year ago. clyp.it/2eysc53n
Colton Ward
Sounded pretty good. I'm reading a Derek Bailey autobiography at the minute.
Joseph Bell
How do you figure? Mine is my favorite pedal by far out of like 8. Versatile as fuck.
Jayden Flores
>those comments
Jaxson White
sounds beautiful, would also sound good live cause its pretty easy to nail.
lmao
Thomas Ramirez
That tone on the leads is sick, but the rhythm isn't quite right, thicken it up, use two eqs
Samuel Sanchez
This is why you need to be careful when you're posting here
Thanks mate
Thanks, actually this is the first time someone compliments my tone, since I only use a cheap interface and Bias FX. About the rhythm, I used the only guitar that's not made for metal I have, which is a Les Paul copy with shitty chinese pickups so that's probably why it sounds like that. Gonna get an Alnico II Pro set for it when I get money.
Either way I'll try to fix it and if not, the next song will be better; no matter how much experience you have, there is always room for improvement.
Adrian Barnes
Always thought the avenger was a good looking alternative shape. Just on the cusp of being too edgy, but can easily be toned down.
Aaron Cook
Thoughts on bumnumba1's guitar course? YouTube ofc
Henry Long
Picture this one with white LP Custom binding, same inlays but only the lines like PRS does and covered pickups in black chrome.
That's what I would have Schecter build me if I had the money.
Sebastian Campbell
Could someone explain the caged system to me?
also any other systems and memory techniques to memorize chords and stuff?
Austin King
So, I bought a used guitar and the first string broke. I went to buy a new set of strings, and the first string gauge was 0.9. But the thing is that I didn't know what gauge the guitar used. So I just bought the 0.9 gauge, put it, and now the string looks like this in the guitar's neck. Did I buy the wrong gauge, and if I did, is it dangerous to my guitar?
Dominic Clark
Does anyone else feel like they don't really own their guitar until they've taken it apart piece by piece and put it back together?
The process of inspecting and cleaning each part; making sure the action, intonation, and trem is set up just right; and making sure all of the electronics and soldering connections are good. That whole process makes the guitar into YOUR guitar. Until then it's just a guitar that happens to be in your possesion.
Jordan Johnson
How much cocaine did you inhale
You're supposed to do small lines only
James Fisher
Use a metal guitar with the middle pickup switch and EQ it in such a way that you can get enough bass girth without it being muddy. Regardless, your playing is sick, and all of us have use a cheap interface at some point, or in my case, a $200 interface with a $10 mic
Adam Long
Just ordered my first G&L
Jacob Scott
>your playing is sick
Jace Johnson
just realized i would of remembered "vocabulary in G" if my low e werent broke
Caged is
C A G A E D
the open chords you play their shapes up the neck just like you already do with A and E (called bar chords)
looks thinner than its supposed to be, probble the other strings are from a 010 set
>now the string looks like this in the guitar's neck whats about the way it looks?
>if I did, is it dangerous to my guitar a 09 wont do damage to the guitar. a too thicker could warp the neck or increase the tension on the truss rod causing it to buzz
i heard his mom restricted to only 2 lines a week
Sebastian Cooper
I love those cuts on your arm when the string snaps! But honestly just don't tune up to E# or F and you shouldn't have a problem. For future references, just buy a new set of strings in most bases if it's a new used and one of the strings breaks, because that probably means the rest will to because they don't put fresh strings on their inventory
Noah Wood
Pls explain This is my first time trying to change guitar strings
Owen Nelson
what model
Jackson Howard
Commit these relationships to memory.
Easton Torres
A Bluesboy
Dominic Jones
that pic is retarded, better just figure by yourself with the guitar in hands and looking at the scales
Asher Morgan
Nice dude, that's the correct answer.
I'd love to get a semi-hollow bluesboy 90. That thing rocks hard.
They've got some ex floor models for cheap as well.
Even if the site say they won't ship to you just get in touch and they'll quote you a price.
Asher Smith
As the previous guy suggested, get an Ibanez Artcore box off reverb.
Jaxson Smith
Hey Dave
Brody Russell
I play through an Orange TH30 combo, the tone I get out of it after swapping the tubes is glorious, full of rock n roll crunch. The problem is, being an open 1x12, it's very directional and lacking a lot of low end thump. Would adding another 1x12 cab with a closed back do the trick?
William Bennett
live stream it or you're are gay
Samuel Scott
Good stuff m8. Thats my favorite tune off by the way
Jonathan Lee
not him but Dave's guitar is the shit, probably my favorite guitar store. Top notch service. They like to move stock quickly so they have great deals all the time.
Isaac Rivera
oh yes, the intervals, i know those
Isaiah King
Sounds like autism bro. Should get that checked out.
Ryder Long
Just finished unwinding the other coil of my damaged pickup to match the resistance of the coil I repaired. Brought it down from 9k to 6k. Now the pickups are 12k and 15k in series, and 3k and 3.75k in parallel.
Would anyone be interested in brainstorming a layout for my tone machine bass project given the info about he pickups I'm planning in putting in? I'm looking to make it a fair deal simpler than the telecaster build, so I need to make more concessions.
Oliver Ward
>not making out your name with blow then snorting it
you're doing it wrong senpai
Zachary Lee
About to sell my orange amp and pedals, my drum set, amd just noodle on my acoustic guitar
Is this what death is like
I lost drive. Inthink mostly depression
Cameron Clark
Yeah I guess. I didn't intend what I said to be quite that compulsive. It's like working on your car. When you do all the work, it really feels like something personal to you.
Ryder Barnes
lol guitar is what I use to keep my depression at bay. Looks like you already lost that fight. Find something else that makes you happy. Like heroin.
Use the money you get to go skydiving or something. That's exciting as hell.
