First for Brazilian luthier basses

Is this image a meme?

third for bachata

>rosewood brighter than maple

Very informative OP image. Everyone knows the brightest wood is... Uh...

>We need more knobs!
>What if we make the PICKUPS knobs?

Who puts that much effort into designing an instrument and doesn't opt for a bridge that can intonate?

Brazilians.

does it have one knob for each string

The design makes so much more sense if this is true. That's pretty cool if it is.

how to stop my strings from losing intonation so quickly

can you count?

>5 strings
>6 knobs
what are you getting at lad?

reverb.com/item/4673886-fender-usa-american-standard-stratocaster-2005-red

Should I pull the trigger on this bitch?

Maple > every other fretboard wood
Alder > every other body wood

Fuckin do it user.

how to fix the sound of overwounds strat pickups beside turning the treble on the amp

blues is not for cucks
blues is for alpha males

youtube.com/watch?v=sBXMM7f7mtI

sry bro was too good a deal to pass up

>blues is for alpha males
it was literally for suicidal losers, fool

that song wasnt

>I don't care what my baby do
>Long as I'm doin' what she's doin'
>I don't care where my baby go
>Long as I'm goin' where she's goin'
>I don't care if my baby play
>Long as it's me that she's playin'
>I don't care where my baby stay
>Long as I stay where she's stayin'

>A man an' a dog, they tell me
>Have a lot in common
>The dog chases cars
>And the man chases woman

>Ya can't trust a bear
>Alone with your honey
>Ya can't trust a thief
>Alone with your money
>I don't trust my cat
>Alone with my canary
>To leave a man alone with my woman
>Is unnecessary

>"Wrong."
She played on the riff objectively wrong and on the solo part she doesnt accent it well

Spider exercises, improved version. Since people keep asking about them.

Paul Kossoff has the best vibrato youtu.be/2j2PuNwQTr8

Thanks. I'm feeling more inspired to work on my technique lately.

Thoughts on the Yamaha FG/FS series? Good intermediate guitar? Looking for something that I can continue to learn fingerpicking/classical on, but will have more body to the sound if I want to strum a few songs.

Go for it. All bachateros use Yamaha guitars.

>justinguitar.com

This site tells me that I should get an electric guitar as a beginner, contradicting everything I heard so far (that I should get a concert guitar).

Confused, help.

the right answer is to get a bass so you get your fingers strong

What do i do with playing guitar?

I'm intermediate and learn and memorize songs quickly

Should i apply for guitar courses/lessons/uni to get goodier at it? Or is it bullshit and just keep learning songs and random theory i see on the internet?
Or just apply for a parties/marriages etc stuff band with just what i already know?

What are your aspirations?

Do you want to be a local gigging musician playing bars, etc?

Do you just want to jam at open mics and blues jams every now and then?

Do you want to do studio work? Session playing? Wedding band? Guitar teacher? Just noodle around with friends? Play for your own enjoyment?

My stupid fucking manlet hands can't play this tapping part. I can just about stretch from the 10 to the 17 but it feels like my pinky finger is going to pop out at the knuckle.

Howdy friends! How's everyone's picks? post your picks :)

Just shift your hand for that note while you're tapping the b flat, and shift back into 10th position while tapping the d.

This picture fucked me up

I can't believe I didn't think to do that. I'm retarded as well as a manlet, evidently.

Thanks though, I can play it now.

all of those

I had been using Jazz III's for a while and while they're great picks, I just wanted to try something different, so I started using Fender Heavies for a while, and now I'm using these because they seem like a better Fender Heavy to me.

I don't know if these are helping or hindering my playing. I used to use .88mm sharps but I can't go back to normal size picks now.

Does anyone else think they look like an inbred goober when they watch videos of themself playing guitar or do I just look like an inbred goober?

i'll buy some of these tomorrow and they will be my only choice for electrics

i actually like watching myself play youtube.com/watch?v=8rT5Qagf2D4

>watch videos of themself playing guitar
I would never do that.

Green for guitar, Blue for bass

how to achieve such lead tone youtu.be/9JkSrD6AOGI

i mean the trebly pick noise

use new strings

Les Paul through a Marshall half-stack
Bridge pickup
Treble at 3 o'clock
Mids at 12 o'clock
Bass at 10 o'clock

Excellent choices, all!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with starting out on electric guitar. In fact, it's easier to play.

I hate the tired meme that you HAVE to start on an acoustic. That's just plain wrong.

when will someone make a guitar out of a spinal cord desu

he will take yuears to develop finger strenght if he just play on a electric

I seriously hope no one actually believes this and that you're memeing right now.

I used Jazz IIIs once, then Tortex 1.14 mm (purple), then Ibanez Grip Wizard 1.0 mm, Tortex 2.0 mm, Dunlop Nylon 0.6 mm and now for the last 5 years or so Tortex 0.6 mm (orange). I just found a couple unused Jazz IIIs and Grip Wizards so I think I'll go and compare those to the Tortex 0.6 once my new guitar arrives.

What singlecoil-sized humbuckers are the best for punk?

I know it's a retarded question, but do you need a electricity source for an electric guitar?

Can you perform for just 2-3 listeners without bringing an amplifier?

get a semihollow if you want do that

It's going to sound pathetic and you might as well use an acoustic.

I thought so. A nylon acoustic is probably the better choice.

>not blowing them away with a full stack regardless of numbers

The closest I've seen.

The best attitude for punk is to not give a shit

That's true, but I would still want to change my goddamn cheap-ass Behringer singlecoil pickups

Good journey, friend!

Hey Pickguy, why are you so histrionic?

how to stop mein güitarren from buzzing this much

clyp.it/yvk4cryf

If you're playing an electric guitar unplugged you're not even going to be heard from across your bedroom.
You won't be heard over people talking.

Hey Pickguy r8 my pick m8

Put copper shielding tape in the pickup and control cavities, make sure your amp isn't broken, and make sure the outlet you're plugging into is properly grounded.

Dimarzio Fast Tracks are great, they still sound a bit like single coils so you can still get that aggressive pick sound instead of it being smooth like most humbuckers.

>Dimarzio Fast Tracks
I think that's what Greg Howe used on Introspection. One of very few recordings where the tone really stood out as something I personally desired.

youtu.be/oy3rEVAEAkk

It's electrical interference. Move your guitar around the room and see if it keeps buzzing. If you can, turn off any electrical equipment that you suspect may be the cause.
If you live in an apartment complex, you're probably fucked.

the gitare iz shielded and it buzzes the same way on the amp and to the compütarren

changes little to nothing moving around the room
turning fluorescent light on or off changes nothing

Change the lead/instrument cable

I want to be a goat rhythm player, how're those working out for rhythm with you? Especially faster, lighter rhythm. Basically I end up playing a lot of solo guitar and stuff, and I'm looking at those as a possible fit for something adequate for rhythm that doesn't sacrifice lead accuracy.

I'm probably not the person to ask because I'm a shit player. I can't pick fast without getting caught on the string, especially if I'm picking more than one string at a time.

If you post an example of what you're thinking of I can try to play something similar and post a clip.

wow fixed it. thanks

how could i have thought my old strong cable could do such a thing

What program should i use to make drum tracks/record shit and maybe have electronic stuff

stop sweating at them

>record shit
Reaper daw

>make drum tracks
EZdrummer plugin into reaper

>electronic stuff
FL Studio daw

Anyone tried these in .60 or similar?

how much does an MIM strat cost in Mexico

my drummer bought me a few of these in 1mm but I wanted the regular shaped Ultex. I don't like playing with a huge tortilla chip in my hand.

Or these? INTRIGUING, I want to try .50s too

...

...

There isn't really any gear I want anymore at this point besides another bass, a compression pedal, and some more recording equipment. Have I reached my /feel good/ peak?

Jazz IIIs are life

>This entire image

I think more than in the US, kind of fucked up lol

pls answer quick

Here's the temple, show me why ~

tort

current looks gay but the rest are just disgusting
just sell it

3rd

...

is sweep picking a meme?

wtf is 3rd

tell malmsteen his guita looks gay

Pretty hot setup, but why so many strats? I get if you like the style, I mean all my electrics are variants of the les paul style, but they all have a different tone

classic fender medium is all I need
