Bentley Kelly
>"Wrong." She played on the riff objectively wrong and on the solo part she doesnt accent it well
Jason Harris
Spider exercises, improved version. Since people keep asking about them. pastebin.com/FvvyFEgJ
Thanks. I'm feeling more inspired to work on my technique lately.
Leo Gomez
Thoughts on the Yamaha FG/FS series? Good intermediate guitar? Looking for something that I can continue to learn fingerpicking/classical on, but will have more body to the sound if I want to strum a few songs.
Dylan Reyes
Go for it. All bachateros use Yamaha guitars.
Mason Walker

This site tells me that I should get an electric guitar as a beginner, contradicting everything I heard so far (that I should get a concert guitar).
Confused, help.
Lucas Price
the right answer is to get a bass so you get your fingers strong
Lucas Gutierrez
What do i do with playing guitar?
I'm intermediate and learn and memorize songs quickly
Should i apply for guitar courses/lessons/uni to get goodier at it? Or is it bullshit and just keep learning songs and random theory i see on the internet? Or just apply for a parties/marriages etc stuff band with just what i already know?
John Collins
What are your aspirations?
Do you want to be a local gigging musician playing bars, etc?
Do you just want to jam at open mics and blues jams every now and then?
Do you want to do studio work? Session playing? Wedding band? Guitar teacher? Just noodle around with friends? Play for your own enjoyment?
Joshua Lee
My stupid fucking manlet hands can't play this tapping part. I can just about stretch from the 10 to the 17 but it feels like my pinky finger is going to pop out at the knuckle.
Connor Clark
Howdy friends! How's everyone's picks? post your picks :)
Carter Smith
Just shift your hand for that note while you're tapping the b flat, and shift back into 10th position while tapping the d.
Justin Williams
This picture fucked me up
Aaron Ward
I can't believe I didn't think to do that. I'm retarded as well as a manlet, evidently.
Thanks though, I can play it now.
Lucas Nelson
all of those
Gabriel Perez
I had been using Jazz III's for a while and while they're great picks, I just wanted to try something different, so I started using Fender Heavies for a while, and now I'm using these because they seem like a better Fender Heavy to me.
David Ross
I don't know if these are helping or hindering my playing. I used to use .88mm sharps but I can't go back to normal size picks now.
Juan Ortiz
Does anyone else think they look like an inbred goober when they watch videos of themself playing guitar or do I just look like an inbred goober?
Christopher Cox
i'll buy some of these tomorrow and they will be my only choice for electrics
Les Paul through a Marshall half-stack Bridge pickup Treble at 3 o'clock Mids at 12 o'clock Bass at 10 o'clock
Jason Foster
Excellent choices, all!
Caleb Gutierrez
There is absolutely nothing wrong with starting out on electric guitar. In fact, it's easier to play.
I hate the tired meme that you HAVE to start on an acoustic. That's just plain wrong.
Nicholas Evans
when will someone make a guitar out of a spinal cord desu
Christopher Sanders
he will take yuears to develop finger strenght if he just play on a electric
Asher Lee
I seriously hope no one actually believes this and that you're memeing right now.
Jaxon Wilson
I used Jazz IIIs once, then Tortex 1.14 mm (purple), then Ibanez Grip Wizard 1.0 mm, Tortex 2.0 mm, Dunlop Nylon 0.6 mm and now for the last 5 years or so Tortex 0.6 mm (orange). I just found a couple unused Jazz IIIs and Grip Wizards so I think I'll go and compare those to the Tortex 0.6 once my new guitar arrives.
Wyatt Evans
What singlecoil-sized humbuckers are the best for punk?
Juan Edwards
I know it's a retarded question, but do you need a electricity source for an electric guitar?
Can you perform for just 2-3 listeners without bringing an amplifier?
Jaxon Lewis
get a semihollow if you want do that
Jace Thomas
It's going to sound pathetic and you might as well use an acoustic.
Carter Harris
I thought so. A nylon acoustic is probably the better choice.
Hudson Ward
>not blowing them away with a full stack regardless of numbers
Aaron Perry
The closest I've seen.
Parker Sanders
The best attitude for punk is to not give a shit
Tyler Morris
That's true, but I would still want to change my goddamn cheap-ass Behringer singlecoil pickups
If you're playing an electric guitar unplugged you're not even going to be heard from across your bedroom. You won't be heard over people talking.
Wyatt Sullivan
Hey Pickguy r8 my pick m8
Michael Gray
Put copper shielding tape in the pickup and control cavities, make sure your amp isn't broken, and make sure the outlet you're plugging into is properly grounded.
Jonathan Baker
Dimarzio Fast Tracks are great, they still sound a bit like single coils so you can still get that aggressive pick sound instead of it being smooth like most humbuckers.
Brody Robinson
>Dimarzio Fast Tracks I think that's what Greg Howe used on Introspection. One of very few recordings where the tone really stood out as something I personally desired.
It's electrical interference. Move your guitar around the room and see if it keeps buzzing. If you can, turn off any electrical equipment that you suspect may be the cause. If you live in an apartment complex, you're probably fucked.
Jaxon Ortiz
the gitare iz shielded and it buzzes the same way on the amp and to the compütarren
changes little to nothing moving around the room turning fluorescent light on or off changes nothing
Aaron Turner
Change the lead/instrument cable
Aiden Garcia
I want to be a goat rhythm player, how're those working out for rhythm with you? Especially faster, lighter rhythm. Basically I end up playing a lot of solo guitar and stuff, and I'm looking at those as a possible fit for something adequate for rhythm that doesn't sacrifice lead accuracy.
Christopher Scott
I'm probably not the person to ask because I'm a shit player. I can't pick fast without getting caught on the string, especially if I'm picking more than one string at a time.
If you post an example of what you're thinking of I can try to play something similar and post a clip.
Leo Ward
wow fixed it. thanks
how could i have thought my old strong cable could do such a thing
Sebastian Reyes
What program should i use to make drum tracks/record shit and maybe have electronic stuff
James Price
stop sweating at them
Andrew Smith
>record shit Reaper daw
>make drum tracks EZdrummer plugin into reaper
>electronic stuff FL Studio daw
Angel Hill
Anyone tried these in .60 or similar?
Hudson Thompson
how much does an MIM strat cost in Mexico
Angel Adams
my drummer bought me a few of these in 1mm but I wanted the regular shaped Ultex. I don't like playing with a huge tortilla chip in my hand.
Ryan Brooks
Or these? INTRIGUING, I want to try .50s too
Josiah James

Charles Miller

Austin Hernandez
There isn't really any gear I want anymore at this point besides another bass, a compression pedal, and some more recording equipment. Have I reached my /feel good/ peak?
Jazz IIIs are life

Pretty hot setup, but why so many strats? I get if you like the style, I mean all my electrics are variants of the les paul style, but they all have a different tone
