Ghost bath

Why did ymo dress like nazis? I thought they were making fun of japaneseness, why not dress like kamikaze pilots?

What's so good about xlinsupreme? I listened to one of their albums and it was literally jpop put into Audacity and blown the fuck out

Coffins

No one has mentioned the god-tier Japanese band yet?

Ghost

You posted em. Ohh, and Coffins

Ghost are ok

...are you serious? I'm fine with people criticizing Xinlisupreme, but that criticism is retarded. There's literally nothing remotely j-pop about them. It's basically a cross between noise rock/shoegaze and IDM.

Anything else similar to itsue?

Flagitious Idiosyncrasy In The Dilapidation

Besides these I don't listen to much Japanese music. Can you rec me some good stuff?

27th post best post

Is this album the most overlooked masterpiece of the last 20 years Sup Forums?

So fucking good

Melt-Banana

Finally seeing them this year. Cannot wait.

It's a shame it's just two of them now because I'd loved to have seen the full band.

Even with just the 2 of em, they still play good. Agata just shreds

any entry-level japanese bands for starters?

youtube.com/watch?v=qGeMpqGi454

lol what kind of music do you listen to?

Merzbow - Pulse Demon

Oh, I don't doubt that they're good, I'm just disappointed that all of my favourite stuff by them was played with a full band, and it would be cool to see them. I know I'll have fun either way though.

soutaisei is GOAT

Onmyouza and Asian Kung-fu Generation

School Food Punishment holds #1 pretty solid, but Asian Kungfu Generation has all this nostalgia to it

mostly mid-west, shoegaze and noise.
I know Envy who are japanese and just now liked melt banana too

youtube.com/watch?v=7F2mcVM1-QM

Supercar aren't as noisy but they're shoegazy 90's indierock with some electronic elements, kind of remind me of radiohead in some of their later work.

youtube.com/watch?v=JTR2yZokEBU&t

You're just not getting past those trips basically

Oh fucking hell

>No one's named my favourite obscure Japanese band that's also one of my all-time favourites

巻き上がる

>There's literally nothing remotely j-pop about them
Oh, C'MON. I've only heard their last album, but it sounded very pop. It used poppy bright synth sounds and had poppy vocals. Maybe you haven't heard it

>Nobodies posted Chinese Football yet

probably because they're chinese

Shibuya-kei is GOAT genre, can anyone rec me some good, relatively unknown stuff?

Nisennenmondai is the best.
