LEFT ME WITH TINNY DRUMS

IM THE MAN IN THE BOX

SPINELESS FROM THE START

BURIED IN MY SHIT

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

One of Lars' best drumming moments.

Remastering it unnecesary. This is the definitive version IMO

Too bad they went to shit from Black Album onwards. 80's period was so great, then they sold out. Such a shame really.

KEK that was ages ago

It was okay, I guess. Still meh compared to their older work.

WHIPLASH!!!!!!!!!!

For sure but compared to the stuff between The Black Album and Death Magnetic, it was a masterpiece. It was at least a return to form. The worst of what I consider their "real Metallica" albums but pretty good.

Justice>Puppets>Lightning>Black Album>Kill 'Em All>Death Magnetic

My personal list is Lightning>Justice>Puppets>Kill 'Em All>Black Album>Kill 'Em All

Black Album>Death Magnetic*

...And Justice For All>Ride The Lightning>=Kill 'Em All>Master Of Puppets>Black Album>Load>Death magnetic

Good to see Justice ranked so high by other people. I feel like Blackened alone makes it their best album. I do agree Lightning is up there with it. Really those middle three (Justice, Puppets, Lightning) are probably the most definitive and influential metal albums ever. What The Beatles did for early rock, Metallica did for metal with those albums.

It's why I can never hate on them too bad. Anyone who's picked up a guitar to write music since Metallica has existed is influenced directly by them or influenced by someone who was. It's crazy if you think about it. Those albums changed everything.

Blackened and One are my personal favorites from Justice. I agree that Puppets, Lightning and Justice are their best work, it was truly their prime as musicians. Yeah, they were pretty influental back in the day, and you could say that everyone wanted to be Metallica during their prime. Man when I remember Seattle '89, they sure knew how to kill back in the day. I, as well as you, user, could never bring myself to hate them, because they were my entry gate to metal, and were also a band that was with me since I was a kid. Metallica will always have a special place in my heart.

MEET THE REAL ME

MEET THE REAL ME

No, that's Paul Di'Anno.

Lightning>Puppets>Justice>Kill Em All>Death Magnetic>Garage Inc>Black Album>Load=Reload>St Anger

But he did form Megadeth, and their Rust In Peace album is objectively better than anything that Metallica has in their disco.

kek

He's better than Bruce.

This.

At least Dave didn't immediately sell his album credit for pennies on the dollar because he was so upset with the band.

It's the second most interesting thing they've done outside of their early pioneering work. It's a solid rock album made by experienced adults without the edgy attempts at political commentary or dark monster shit that they stole from the NWOBHM in their early gays
The most interesting thing they've done outside of the first 10 years is working with Lou reed

>using the word objectively wrong

AKA "I like the music of early maiden better"

In literally measurable way, Dickinson is a far superior vocalist.

It's like saying a Civic is faster than a Ferrari because you prefer japanese cars.

>early gays
kek I meant early days

SWEDISH BOOOOOOOOWLIIIIINNNNNNG

This is correct

>it's a Sup Forums talks about heavy metal episode

I play this song every time I walk down the stairs in slow motion.

thrash*

Justice would be a 10/10 album if it weren't for the horrific mixing. The bass is so tinny it sounds like it was recorded with a can and some string. As it stands my ranking is:

Kill em all> Justice> Puppets> Black> Lightning> the rest

But it's true. Rust In Peace is their magnum opus, and it's better than anything Metallica made.

I like both vocalists, but I think Paul is better than Dickinson. Also, even though their early work is better, I still like Dickinson stuff.

...

RE

I hope you don't actually believe that, it's a solid album but nothing that special. Megadeth is the worst of the big 4 by a huge margin.

>but I think Paul is better than Dickinson
You don't understand.

Dickinson is objectively better than Di'Anno throughout all the range they share.

You can LIKE Di'Anno more. But he's not better.

WE'RE TAKING OVER THIS TOWN

My personal rating
Lightning=Justice>Puppets>Kill em all>Black Album>Magnetic>Load=Reload>Anger

That's only my opinion, but that doesn't mean I'm correct. I personally like him more, although I think Bruce fits Maiden better.

It could be that it isn't as good as I shill it, but it is a special album. It's probably the best thing Megadeth made. Also, I'd agree on that, but I'd add Anthrax to the list along with Megadeth, though I like all bands in the big 4.

I can agree with this list, it's a nice fucking list.

Look, I'm not saying that your opinion is invalid. I'm just talking about the technical side.

I'm surprised I agree so much with a list posted by some guy on Sup Forums

Black Album is just a nicer sounding version of Load, Death Magnetic at leasts feels more like early Metallica.

literally pleb: the list

Lightning>Puppets>Justice>Kill Em All>Death Magnetic>Garage Inc>Black Album>Load=Reload>St Anger

Been burned out on Metallica for 11 years and counting.

Kill em all is their best album.
