kill me
Kill me
Alright Alright Alright
rekt
This looks like a shitty buddy cop film where the roles are reversed and the white guy is the goofy one.
Idris looks good, but I hate the way McConaughey looks dumb. Wish they would have more like how he looked in the TV movie of The Stand
Jesus, How long has Psych been on!?
Why do people like Rust? He's a terrible written meme character. Marty was a real human being and a real hero
Mcconnahey looks fucking stupid. Reminds me of Gob or jim carrey in that film
...
This magazine always does shitty photo shoots like these.
McConaughey looks like some shitty Vegas magician.
yo lets light up up js up in dem dark towas
noimsayin
Novels were pretty shit, forced myself to read the first one and stopped at the second when Stand-like magical nigger stepped in.
...
...
This style could work with a good director.
What is the dark tower?
...
I hate the xostumes and set designs I saw. They look too neat, too perfect. Like every wrinkle in the suits are made carefully by some stagehand. They look too new. Too clean. Too perfect.
Also, Roland in black is fucking dumb. Black clothes under the sun is hotter than anything.
Look at the man in black's hair. Marten, I think? Anyway, he looks like he's using products and shit.
I don't care about black Roland. He could be asian I would still be okay with it. I'm not okay with the movie looking like some Marvel capeshit flick.
Fuck, I really wanted Clint Eastwood to direct a TDT adaptation. He's a great director, and even though Roland doesn't physically look like Eastwood in the books, he was inspired by him in spirit.
>Black clothes under the sun is hotter than anything.
I'm glad he isn't wearing his hat. That would be racist.
alright here's your cookie
Other than the obvious, he looks like how I imagined Roland. And yes, I know that Roland is based on Clint Eastwood from the man with no name trilogies
The more I see reactions like this, the more sad and stupid they seem.
Movie
irl they use dark blue clothing
Wait, is that not what this is? I'm really disappointed now.
Why?
Wow, that makes it completely different then.
Actually, it does. Black absorbs more rays from the sun than dark blue. Dark blue absorbs a lot, but not enough that it's dangerous/unconfortable. Dark blue creates a layer of heat that protects the body against, well, more heat. Black just cooks you up.
Those revolvers liking sexy asf
>he never read 5-7
You don't know the definition of "shit," my man.
I have pleb tastes and actually enjoyed 1-3. 4 was okay, but a bit drawn out.
After that... my god. Consider yourself lucky.
>the man in black fled into the desert, and the black man in black followed
Enemy stand?
>>the man in blacked fled into white girl
underrated post
Face as mean as your life has been
ARGHH IT'S THE WRONG WAY AROUND
Childhood is when you idolize the gunslinger.
Adulthood is when you realize the man in black makes more sense.
damn this looks like going to be great movie , maybe even classic if they dont fuck up
confirmed for not reading. you should have known what you were getting into with king
Old Age is when you understand and feel for Eldred Jonas.
They're both competent actors, it'll work out.
>its another good black guy against the bad white guy movie
>its another black guy wins again movie
2 and 4 were good
Mccunnyhey looks like straight out of a Bruce Almighty poster
Best Flagg, exactly how I imagined him. All he needs is his smiley face button
he doesnt actually win tho
>nothing personel kid
Hilariously enough he may, King was going on about how he has the horn in this one, so the cycle might be over after this one.
Flagg is supposed to be ambiguously mulato, so that pic actually works.
>it's a Flagg convinces the Black Panthers to kill a rich white guy
>it's the sequel episode where Flagg is part of the KKK and convinces them to lynch a black kid
Ultimate trollflagg.
>
>even though Roland doesn't physically look like Eastwood in the books
The book literally says he looks like the love child of Eastwood and King
>I have pleb tastes and actually enjoyed 1-3
>I have pleb tastes
So your defence of them not being shit is that you enjoy shit things?
Don't bother user, it's not worth trying to fight delusional people.
No. Eddie says he doesn't look like Eastwood at all, except for the eyes.
Nice try though, but you obviously never read the books.
I think they misread the first line and were too embarrassed to speak up.
>The man in black fled across the desert, and th-
>Ok cool! so Roland is a black gunslinger! I got this!
Looks like a Psych movie. Except the black guy got serious and the white guy is still doing his fake psychic shit
...
Wait a minute. Is that the horn of Eld already....???
anyone else noticed ronald with jake in our world in one of the screenshots? That never happened.
...
Holy shit, it is.
It's a sequel. King said so himself. It takes place after the last book. It's Roland going through the saga again and making different choices.
>It would have been ok with regular clint eastwood like texas gunslinger vs fabulous black nigga magician
>Nah let's fuck this shit up even more
I hate everything
>A Sony Pictures Entertainment project
That explains this.
Thats actually a really good idea for a movie
One major aspect to note is that Roland has the Horn of Eld, which means he has already been to the Dark Tower and this is the second cycle
That being said, the casting looks terrible and the aesthetics do not capture the bizarre dark fantasy-western theme of the books.
...
How the fuck will Detta's character work with Roland being black? Black-washing a historically white character completely throws off character chemistry
>no honky mofo insults
...
Why is he chasing the man in black?
...
...
...
...
I don't think she's in the movie.
If she is, and she's white, that would make things much more racist than they were in the book.
You know what, the real triggering here is how awful McCauanaugheay looks, it even overshadowed the fact the Gunslinger is being played by a cotton-picker.
It's more than the second, Roland has made this journey countless times before.
This is what's so interesting to me. The journey will probably be completely different than what happens in the books, but they have a perfectly valid reason to. Just have to see how it plays out. Maybe they'll incorporate elements from the books to touch on the parallels.
...
Eddie was a drug addict.
Besides, Roland was literally supposed to be descended from the Arthurian bloodline.
>muh gunkata
mfw you poor naive pricks think this'll be any good haha
Idris si a Black Eastwood. I don't see the problem. Matthew is more worrisome.
I'm really disappointed that they didn't use a pair of Colt Walkers for Roland's guns.
>Idris si a Black Eastwood
I'm starting to warm up to Idris a bit. I'd love for them to do a sequence showing the countless cycles Roland has gone through the final door, each time showing a different version of Roland stepping through. Now that they confirmed that this is a continuation, I'm just going to put my expectations to minimum and see how this rides out.
Didn't Arthur Eld fuck anything that moved?
huh but lethal weapon is the the original where
the white guy is the goofy dude
Based kino
Wait, this is just a movie? Like just one movie? What the fuck?
Yeah, he had to impregnate like a bajillion concubines in order to both to repopulate the blighted earth AND to create a magically-infused aristocratic warrior caste.
Man in Black confirmed for Dennis
>so for all these years, I've always been... The Dark Tower
fuck you Idris I know you ad-libbed that line and single-handedly destroyed the movie
I can't begin tell you how much I want something like this
>Walter not wearing a fucking cloak
>looks like someone from a 90's boy band
>not looking like evil incarnated
Fucking kill me
I want to look like superman. He was the original
>NOT FROM THE BOOKS
REEEEEEEEEEEEE
5 and 6 were shit. 7 was a middle finger from Stephen King
>descendant of King Arthur
>not being white
>King Arthur has daughter
>Daughter fucks black guy
It's not complicated user, you only need two generations for it to make sense.
