The Great Santa Barbara Oil Slick - John Fahey

Also got one for the contrarians in the room

can we turn this into a fishmans thread?
I've been bumping the live version of long season all week

sure man you can have my thread, it died anyways

...

OK, done.

Have some rare Fishlads (it's another live album)
youtube.com/watch?v=zb34osbxc-M

should i have bought this cd when I saw them live in 2013

objectively

Yes, but I just found it on Soulseek. Best version of Flood desu

Also this was only finally released last year in June and it's damn near as good as 98.12.28

...

>HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY

What the actual fuck, there are people on this board right fucking now that believe any live album is superior to 98.12.28

>Alternate versions of best songs on their discog
>Superior version of Long Season
>Last performance as a complete band as the drummer was leaving
>Planned to continue work but Sato died three months later of a fucking heart attack
>Sato singing Thank You, thanking his fans for his life shortly before his death

There is truly no hope for this board

fuck no

I mean maybe it's not better but it's bretty gud

all 10/10

Pretty much every song on 98.12.28 is better than its studio counterpart. It's pretty incredible. There are so many great little improvisations and additions to the live version of the songs that just elevate them to another level.

Also this

...

Keep on having that party :')

Sup Forums is too young.

Oh yeah this is cool too

>This is our 11th year together as a band.
>Well, um, next year we'll do a little recording
>If we can, I`d like to hopefully be able to do (some) live shows after summer
>Well, we would really like to try and start over from the beginning.
>Well, um, thats why we would like a little bit of time…And, I guess we will see who will still be around in 10 years
>"Don't say that!"
>I mean, I have always thought about that but, just look, the number of people here have really gone down
>So this next song makes me think that even I will probably change over the next 10 years…

post your opinion then
(this is mine)

im OP so im just being a meme, Stop making sense is fantastic so is
and the rest I haven't listened to yet

You just need to know that Uchu Nippon Setagaya is their best album. Outside of that album which is admittedly ok, only a few songs are noteworthy like Long Season part 3. That live album in the other hand is cheesy and so bland I sincerely don't see the appeal, It should just go into the j-pop containment thread tbqh

Pizzicato Five was like wayy better, and so was that shoegaze band, Fishmans is ameme

...

what a terrible opinion, a terrible post, and a terrible human being

...

no fucking way, thats what he really said? jesus christ....

ゆらめき In The Air is a great pop melody

Night Cruising is a close second for my favorite off the album

this

...

Kek at all these fishplebs.

came here to post this

good job replying to every post in the thread

I wonder how everyone in this thread feels about being so wrong

>le jap rap meme crap.

That's my second favorite, but this right here has got to be my #1. I'd say Roxy and Elsewhere by Zappa would be on the same tier, as well as Swans Are Dead.
These are also some incredible ones, but also add Live! by Fela Kuti and Ginger Baker and Live at the Liquid Room by Jeff Mills. Jane Live by Converge is a recent one that I've really been enjoying, but it's essentially just Jane Doe with few changes.

>rap
>he hasnt even listened to it
stay retarded
