i wish
yes but it was always destined to die some day
was fun while it lasted
No, just refined
X covers the whole banger thing but also makes deep and emotional tracks, I think he's bringing it all back
things like night lovell and shit like that are dead i think. it might just be further underground though
bones still on his peak
this
they call me young dagger dick
he was kinda the reason I made this
His ratchet tracks are obviously popular but he makes some aesthetic bangers
cloud rap died when eric dingus stopped producing it. its like witch house or vaporwave now in the sense that elements of it have been absorbed back into electronic music as a whole.
OP again
what's the view on channels like astvri and shroomhead
they blow cloud rappers up out the ass, some make genuinely catchy tracks
Yung Leans unreleased shit blew up there
Lovell
6 dogs
a lot of shit gets through but some of that shits pretty slap happy
wdym slap happy?
I've noticed a lot of the cloud producers moved to witch house and young thug esque trap
Kinda lame desu I liked cloud beats with or without rappers on the beat
slap happy meaning catchy I guess
the kinda beat that makes you double fist pump like chief keef
oliver francis exist and is still doing that stuff
no shit my ps4 just finished playing one of his tracks on random lmao
well since there isn't a ton to discuss, post your favorite cloud rap. instrumental or not

I have no bias towards cloud rap and don't wanna come off as a fanboy (I am), I just really like these tracks
>x
>deep
i'll give you that his tracks are filled with emotion and passion, but i would never say that anything hes written is deep
nice trips
but yeah, cloud rap is way past its prime. spaceghostpurrp has been going downhill since 2013 and it is actually just sad at this point, his music is shit and i think hes homeless. lil b slowed down (cant wait for black ken). a$ap rockyand robb banks changed their styles too much to still be considered cloud rap. main attrakionz arent doing much anymore. clams casino's project kinda sucked outside of the vince staples song and the songs with lil b. cloudy instrumentals arent really popular anymore. $uicideboy$ are popular but garbage. bones is one of the only cloud rappers that is still doing his thing and doing it well. yung lean doesnt make good music anymore. nacho picasso went to shit. antwon is still making nice stuff.
bladee is really underrated. he has a lot of deep thoughts if you take the time to read his lyrics. yung lean and thaiboy have both have their ups and downs that come from their lifestyle, but i love all 3 of them. i was really miserable and lonely every day in college and some of those tracks were the only warmth that i had during that time. i'm starting a shoegaze/rock band but its going to have a lot of elements of cloud rap, especially the vocal manipulation
>didn't even notice I tripped
Lean changed up but some tracks on Warlord and Frost God sounded like he tried to stick to his roots and they came out pretty good
that being said he has tracks with adamn and he's fucking garbo
as for clams I wish he'd make another ep, he's probably up to some wonky shit
RIOT prob his most deep go peep
My booooooy
Bladee deserves way more fucking attention than anyone on gtb/sbe
Ecco2k and bladee on an album by themselves with Gud and whitearmor would be catastrophic
I feel you on that sad period vro
cloud was all I had, it made me whole as edgy as that sounds
i think the reason why he never took off because people legit don't "get" his style of autotune. they think that the presence of autotune is trying to mask a lack of talent, but to me it just shows so much talent to be able to use one or two effects as an additional instrument. i didn't enjoy the the last ep with bladee and thaiboy unfortunately tho. i felt like they were all phoning it in pretty hard, especially thaiboy. i still listen to brokeboy but thats it. i was hoping that whitearmor would just go all out with the production after hearing eye contact, but something is missing on that ep
What I tell people when they ask me why I like x artist who is cloud rap, they are another instrument to the track
Their vocals are more for sound rather than substance
but bladee is both and people only hear autotune
my bets are on playboi carti rn
this track bangs
he and Jazz Cartier on a track would be ridiculous
bladee is the same kind of shitty emo-hop that lil peep is doing. the whole genre is wack
but it's so pleasing to listen tho
spark one and listen to Eversince
Bladees got a gift senpai
No, cloud rap is not dead. You're just listening to the wrong artists. I've noticed the genre take a darker tone .. for instance songs like FML , Wolves are what I call dark cloud rap... Paul White and Danny Brown have been doing this kind of music too , listen to From the Ground , tell me what I don't know, hell even Kid Cudi is making that kind of music.
Everything dies when it becomes a "genre" anyways , and becomes something new
>no but it never really took off
also I believe yung lean had the most influence over the genre and now he is no longer here so unless clams casino regains his influence then were just going to be cursed with these shitty to mediocre soundloud artists who are just imitating early asap rocky with some more trap inspired beats and little bit of vaporwave aesthetic to mask it.
Found that デーモンAstari channel last night actually.. found a few new artists that I like.
>tried posting about it in the xer thread with no replies yet..
>maybe this is a better spot anyway
Anyone hear any of omenxiii yet?
It's dark and I'm liking that. Here are the 2 I linked in the other thread.

Anyone else feeling it?
>I personally like his shit better than bones!
FYTE ME!
def bones vibe I'm getting from this dude
I personally was never a big fan of sesh cause I was elitist sadboy
he's got a good voice tho, if he finds his flow and masters it I could see homeboy come out with a few bangers
is this 'cloud rap'?
