LYNCH GENERAL

DUDE DREAMS LMAO! Edition

What is your expectations for twin peaks 2017? Will it be better than the original series?

Hope he fucks with the fans.

He's not known to pander to audiences.

This, I hope Coop is barely in it and when he's in he's BOB level of terrifying

The more I watch Lost Highway, the more I believe I undercover new things of the story. Truly one of the best films ever made.

The whole party scene near the beginning: that all takes place in Fred's head and never actually happened, as you notice he says to that other guy at the party: "Did you hear that Dick Laurent is dead?". As most who have watched the movie: the movie plays out not in real order but in the order of how Fred "likes to remember things his way".The second chapter of the movie with him working as a mechanic and meeting the women who looks just like his wife: this is I believe because Fred is playing out in his head how he really got to know his wife and Laurent before finding out that she was involved in the porno ring but instead of him running away with her as it is shown near the end of the second act: he instead murders her after murdering Laurent and the other guy. Which is how the 3rd act plays out after his wife leaves Laurent at the hotel: him dragging him to the desert and killing him before going back home which is when the cops show up and he is caught and sent to the electric chair. Him escaping prison in another form is just his imagination playing out while he is being sentenced to die for killing his wife. The video tapes and the mystery man are showing the truth of what he has done, constantly haunting him.

I think I made sense of what the movie actually is about if anyone can correct me.

All the red in the movie is very interesting, especially that girl in the red clothes while the mystery man is standing beside her; all this as I assume is symbolic of the blood of Fred's wife

Agreed. I fucking hate when shows pander to 'hardcore' fans with DEEP LORE shit

that would be great

Lynch's films are the only that has ever scared me, the first third of lost highway is horrifying, i think it's too bad that lost highway often gets forgotten in comparison to Mullholand Dr.

It's gonna be fucking amazing.

Like 10 hours of pure Lynch. On Showtime with no rules. I'm willing to bet Lynch hasn't watched the original Twin Peaks since it aired and couldn't give a less of a fuck. All of the normies and neo-Sup Forums plebs tuning in for quirky Cooper are gonna fucking despise it and shit on it worse than Fire Walk with Me but will be Lynch's purest vision since Mulholland Drive and a work of genius. Plus he's 70 and it will more than likely be his last major work.

He's gonna die hated and then he'll get his picture shown during the Oscars death montage and everyone will cheer and cry and talk about what a maverick he was as if he hasn't sat around on his ass half his career because people won't fund his work.

I was just re watching the opening scene of Lost Highway, you know when he hears the buzzer and he hears the "Dick Laurent is dead" voice before going to check the window.

While he is walking to the window: I hear police sirens and someone driving off - the EXACT same sound of Fred driving off at the end of the movie!

I've seen the movie a few times before but never paid attention to the background sounds which Lynch in, these being the exact same ending police chase sounds, showing that Fred in act 3 is talking to Fred in act 1.

A truly genius work of art with so many twists and turns.

I love the sound design in all of his movies, it fits so well that you often forget that it's even there. People like to talk about his weird visuals but i think the sound is as important if not more in making the scenes work and "flow"

>10 hours of pure FWWM Lynch avant-garde mystery horror
The world will never be ready for this. I don't even think I'm ready for this.

>claims to like Lynch
>hasn't heard Crazy Clown Time

Why so pleb, Sup Forums?

>IT'S CRAZY CLOWN TIMMMEE

>claims to like lynch
>hasn't tried DAVID LYNCH coffe

Who /importedjapaneseblurayofTheStraightStory/?

How is it? I've always loved coffee but can't drink it because it gives me terrible heartburn

>first scene of new twin peaks
>60's looking dinner
>camera pans to a man sitting in booth
>twin peaks theme starts playing on the radio as it's revealed that it's cooper
>waitress comes to the booth
>Cooper orders coffe
>with milk in it
>It's the doppleganger
>theme starts going static as "Cooper" smiles

He doesn't seem like the caffeine type. How is he supposed to contemplatively meditate for five hours a day hopped up on stimulants?

The Straight Story seems like it would be entirely lost on non-Americans.

>He doesn't watch inland empire in reverse while listening to polish post-rock music

Literally the only way to see it

>A whole episode with possessed Cooper doing bizarre shit
Yes please

Has there ever been a more effective jumpscare than the phantom laura dern face in the ending of Inland empire? I watched it like 2 am and i couldn't sleep after
