This has some potential but it's not quite there yet. The vocals are interesting but the music is lacking and I'm not really sure why.
Did you just listen to the live album?
Also you got some really good rhythmic shit going on my dude
Yep, I listened to the live album. There are some nice noisy parts in there but I now think it's maybe simply the mixing. Or maybe my ears just want another layer of sounds mixed into the noises.

Alright. Im being real now. You've got something but i honestly feel like your work is just missing a lot, and it feels forgettable. San Francisco has potential, but the rest I just don't feel like i'm hearing anything new, and its incandescent synths crawling over each other with no rhyme or reason. Im not trying to bash, im only assuming you are posting here for feedback, yeah? Make something or more that is memorable. Pay attention to detail and add a least anything that is like a hook or it grabs the listener's attention. Also name your price, not $7.

I did post here for feedback and I really appreciate it. I like it way more than being ignored and I will take your advice seriously. I totally see where you're coming from - what is my music missing? Is it something you can pinpoint?
And for the record I didn't mean to make it $7
i think what he means is be more creative, i'm listening to the tape now and its more on the mediocre side than excellent. ALWAYS aim for excellence when it comes to what youre passionate about, take this as constructive criticism and get better, you definitely have potential because i've heard people put out some real dog shit, and your stuff is far from dog shit but far from excellent

>Concept Album, Trap, Breakbeat, Post-Rock, avant-garde
>what is my music missing? Is it something you can pinpoint?
From my own perspective, based on what i like hearing and what i like making, i could recommend a lot more detail. Keep it subtle but noticeable, you wanna feel like your song is a bit busy trying to communicate to the listener. my favorite thing with any music is hearing or noticing something new each listen or at least every so often. I think its right to treat a song like a painting and try to visualize it thru sound. Its okay to doodle on scratch paper a good amount but doodles usually dont look nice in an art gallery, treat your album like the gallery if an album is something you really wanna strive for. I would even recommend some kind of attractive vocals for your stuff since i get like a thom yorke vibe with that tech sound, some kind of vox with a noticeable contrast to the actual instrumental usually sounds really interesting. hopefully im making some sense bc im kinda drunk.
Also when ur off the rails like me rn it doesnt sound good when somethings too loud or so, like in Laughing Outside at like 1:32
>i could recommend a lot more detail
Also i shouldve elaborated on this. sample sample sample, even if its just some background sounds or anything, youll always discover new sounds. I recommend this until you can actually record what sounds you wanna hear exactly, which can be difficult. I love picking up sounds and bits from asmr videos on youtube, which is a fun thing to do on the ears if you do it right.
thanks for the good, constructive advice. I'll keep plugging away. Meditating on it
Haven't heard anything this good since merzbeat, holy shit.
And my noise everyone.

stop. this is terrible and you know it.
excellent stuff here, keep it up dude.
just awful.
nice trips but this still sucks. get a band.
good shit dude im liking this.

bad.

I keep thinking that, after 20 years of making music, I should do something like start a bandcamp. Do they spam you with emails and stuff?
They do not. It's a freaking god-tier way to get attention. Unlike SoundCloud, it's free to upload as much as you want, too.
20 years. Wew. Please post some. Sounds fun. Genre?
yeah this is good shit man. love some of the guitar tones here.
disgraceful.
I take it noise isn't your thing?
i have never heard a single good noise album in these threads.
define what makes a noise album good
Hmmm. What defines a "good" noise album in your eyes?
And then there was silence.
texturally interesting while still maintaining sonic intensity
What artists fall under that umbrella In your opinion?
>texturally interesting while still maintaining sonic intensity
*textually
also that doesn't mean anything. provide examples
merzbows 80s/early 90s output
yellow swans
uhhhhhhhhhhhh
That's equal to "the music has no soul in it, no feel". Like damn, examples?
Gerogerigegege?
Am I the only one who takes influence from them?
Merzbow, yess. Peace For Animals ftw. Also, the gerogerigegege and Incapacitants.
if that's equal to you then I can't help you
Feral Society, listed above, have noted that they're a big fan of The Gerogerigegege. I dont blame them either. They're god tier.
oh yeah theyre good too but i wouldnt call them primarily noise for the most part
ive never listened to peace for animals/incapacitants. what are they like?
Peace for Animals is a Merzbow album. My favorite from him. Incapacitants are the most blaring terrorist attack on your ears artist. Listen to "Default Standard" and you'll fall in love. GREAT guys.
>complains about my noise albums
>no new plays on the noise albums today
Alright, you pleb.
Well that's one of the things I like about noise, how it kind of grows out of non noise stuff, I like the early eighties industrial tapes for doing this, but I'm sure everyone does as well, that type of sampling is really common. In some attempt at black metal I ended up making noisecore, so from there I tried to recreate stuff like that on the side.
thanks mane ill check them out.

serves you right for making bad music.

very nice album from a friend of mine
Sexual Behavior In The Human Male by The Gerogerigegege for an example is mostly rock, but then you have Senzuri, which in that, they depart from rock.
>serves you right for making bad music
it does put you in a bad place - saying shit on others without checking them out. not a good move Stan
>serves you right for making bad music.
You are contradicting yourself here. Calling music bad without listening to it.
Lmao, you must be one shit artist to make music so bad that you subliminally know it's bad without even touching it
...
(You)
now who is the noise guy then? which one is Stan referring to? surely you should know which user it is if it's so obvious. go ahead, I'll wait
Aw
Is he not referring to
?
