Post your favourite songs/albums/everything

alans psychedelic breakfast is the best song they've ever written

/thread

defintely not ahm, but it was staring point for other good albums, definetely. also, im not a big fan of the wall.
>favourite song
echoes>welcome to the machine>brain damage (or time)>dogs, etc

I think Time is one of the best songs ever written

True.

Agree

Can someone explain the appeal of tpatgod ?
I listened to it a few times and I simply don't understand it, am i missing something? Should I focus in something particular?

same guy, best albums for me : dsotm>wywh>animals>meddle>division bell, afterwards goes wall probably, not a fan of the anti-system shill theme, tho.

>tpadgod
whats that?

I meant "the piper at the gates of dawn"

Any Colour You Like

Ummagumma

Syd Barrett

My bad, I wrote it wrong

People who prefer avant garde over overall conplexity go for piper

darn. im not a big fan also, i like saucerful of secres a bit more, desu

Should I check meedle or it's more of the same?

To be honest, I like about 2 songs from this album. It's the only PF album that I don't like

Meddle is one of their best albums with the best intro I've ever heard.
And, of course
>ehoes

yes, you should. at least, echoes makes up for it, if you dont like others. i like pink floyd, but desu, time and comfortably numb sound a bit like echoes.

For me, the best albums:
AHM>OBC>ASOS>Animals>Meddle>WYWH
I won't add here to classics (Wall and DSOTM) cus for me they're good, but I have heard'em so many times that I've had enough.
Imo The Wall is the best album ever existing

>OBC
i like it more than AHM, desu.

I'm a big fan of all those symphonic topics and I like to imagine stories when I'm listening to AHMS. It really works on the imagination.
Other songs on AHM are ok, but not as great as AHMS.
Well, I can say that OBC is at the first place, too. Next to AHM.

>more of the same
only their last 3 albums sound remotely similar

this album is a fucking mess and it represents everything right pink floyd ever did

...

Interstellar Overdrive > Time > Shine On You Crazy Diamond > Dogs > Bike

the rest are great and all but those are my top 5 atm

It's much more direct than most of their other work, with more focus on intentionally disorientating songwriting instead of smoother spacier rock.
