Robocop

Rad

At the moment.

They sure don't make teen comedies like these anymore.

Return of the Jedi
It's also my favorite movie of all time

I heard she tried to get out of showing her tits for the movie but Amy Heckerling put her foot down and told her to take her top off.

find a flaw.

BREAK THE ICE

SEND ME AN ANGEL

You can't go wrong with many if any Carpenter films from this era.

Sixteen Candles is indisputably the best 80's flick and had also indisputably best Molly.

The Lost Boys

The main actor ruined the whole movie for me.

Back to the Future

That one. Moving in Stereo. OMG.

>they still haven't posted the 80s flick

Taboo 2

Best 80's flick coming through, niggers.

Question for oldfags: when do you think the 80s pop culture really ended?

I was born in 1995 so I don't remember the 80s, or even the 90s. 2000-2007 was my time, though I did like a lot of older stuff.

I've heard most people say it was when Nirvana released Nevermind in 1991, and hair metal died, but I've also heard some say things like "the 80s lasted until 1995". Saying 95 is an 80s year sounds like it's stretching it too fucking far if you ask me.

I literally cannot, it's a perfect movie.

Also this.

For me it's pic related, which also counts as my favourite movie ever.
But seriously, was there a better time in movie history than the 80's? I don't wanna be a le 80's kid, but goddamn, everywhere you look, blockbuster action, romantic comedies, horror, sci-fi, raunchy teen comedies, musicals, cartoons, thrillers, arthouse dramas, everything was inventive and iconic.

Im going to watch this right now.

Oldfag here.

IMHO, The 80's went from 83 to 94. The 90's went from 95 to 20005. The early 80's were just too tainted with the 70's. Also, despite Nirvana/White Zombie coming in, the 80's stink didn't wear off until 95.

Was just thinking of this the other night, of how decades don't exactly match up 01 -09. Influences of the previous decade really have to fade.

I also believe that whatever decade started in 2005...we're still fucking in it.

Popular "Rock" music for the 80s and much of the early 90s was hairband inspired. Grunge killed the whole phony glam style and brought more edge.

...

OP said flick, not kino, ya dingus

I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR.

but to answer your question, it's First Name: Carmen.

>not robert cop

One job, user

quad quads for undisputed best film of the decade. this is an objective fact, you cannot refute this

I enjoyed Paradise (1982) with Phoebe Cates. It has a very compelling story with poignant commentary on modern society, especially what it means to be a sexually liberated teeneger on a deserted island

What are you, fucking gay?

resectable

mine is After Hours or Hannah and Her Sisters

great movie, love the Tangerine Dream soundtrack

w- what's the torrent called? asking for a friend

Blade Runner

...

You posted it.
The atmosphere of this movie is great, dreamlike.

Caddyshack

>I will never be a caddy hanging out at a golf course all summer with a braless golf slut teasing and flirting with me everyday

This movie reeks of 80s.

I feel like 1993 would be as far as you can push it in terms of tv/music/film.

For me personally I'd have to go with Ghostbusters.

>The 80's went from 83 to 94.
Kinda makes sense. Every decade takes about 3 or 4 years to find its own identity.

Though I couldn't even say what the quintessential 00 movie is though.

>This movie reeks of 80s.
The best kind of 80's.

I watch for Elisabeth Shue

This tbqh senpai. Just watched again the other night.

Heathers

Indeed, it twangs the valves of the heart with a powerful sense of longing.
Their unabashed slaughter of fan favourites gave it so much more merit and substance than any kids movie before or since, even if their motives were simply to push a new line of toys- at the end of the day kids dont need to be treated like retards. I was blown away by this shit.

Is that the one with cher? Hnnnnnnnng

...

Just finished watching this with the gf 30 minutes ago.

Desert Oasis

That's Mermaids your thinking of

My favorite film released between 1980-1989 is The Empire Strikes Back.

Sheeit. Is Heathers worth watching alone if you catch my drift

Killer soundtrack, too.

Napoleon Dynamite
Anchorman
Dodgeball

Why are John Hughes movies so comfy?

...

I AM IMMORTAL

I HAVE INSIDE ME BLOOD OF KINGS

[sideshow bob growling .wav]

Think I might have to watch this

Heathers wasn't John Hughes yo.

The 90s era ended on 9/11

>Flashback of connor and heather spending their lives together

I never asked for these feels

the one where some woman says, "your gettin' ya cock sucked kid."

it was out of nowhere and made me smile :)

Met this girl that loves movies.

Thing is she only loves black and white movies and says she doesn't like movies from the 70s or 80s.

What do?

My bad, senpai. But yeah Heathers and anything with Winona makes me wish I went to HS in the 80s

...

Make her watch The Elephant Man and tell her it's from the 60s

The fuck?

The big generational cutoff IMO is when you first got internet. There are those of us who distinctly remember writing papers using exclusively @home or @library paper resources and those of us that don't. Prodigy/AOL/local media Encarta CDs were where things shifted. Everybody that grew up after that point is a massive newshit that should be summarily gassed.

I second this

those quads

Best 80's film that not enough people know about here

Hey I raised my daughter on a condensed mimic of my own pre-and early internet childhood and she shits on her peers (not lit).

Shes 12 and would rather watch Weekend at Bernies than Toy Story: Pets Edition or Girlbusters.

how many fedoras does your daughter own

Take a look at my face, Dick!

they aren't comfy, you're just so uncomfy

No competition.

He saved everyone of us!

I miss stupid 80's wristwatches. Wearing watches used to be fun. And neon.

BITCHES LEAVE

Not the best, but definitely the most 1980s movie ever made.

It captures the fashions, attitudes, the centrality of late night television and excessive wealth. It has a fucking punk named O.D. in it. How can anyone not love Terrorvision?

Plus it's only like 80 mins. It never overstays its welcome.

CRYYYYY LITTLE SISTER

Top fucking Gun

Glad you see how I feel. It's not my absolute favorite, I'd say Repo Man is but the quad post already listed it.

So decided to go for one of my favorites that I feel not enough people know about.

Am I?

You're doing something right. Keep it up.

There are a few that I hope will take the reins when it comes time. I just have very little faith in humanity in general.

All good Boss.
God damn 1980's high school would have been amazing.

Streets of Fire.
Goddamn, I love this movie.

Kids creating hot women genies out of Barbie dolls
Psychopaths trying to blow it up.
Werewolves playing basketball.

God, I only wish. My high school experience was far too mundane.

this

with Fast Times, Roger Rabbit and Terminator being close behind

>ywn be in hs with a qt goth gf

Kerin Portillo?

The most boring of all 80's movies.

Several Oscar winners in there.

Cobra Kai did nothing wrong

I've heard it's terrible and the people who created it believe it's terrible, but I really love the soundtrack (two songs by my favorite writer). Is it fun in a Road House kind of way or is there something to legitimately like about it?

There's 2 dudes dueling with sledgehammers. That's pretty cool.

suck a bear penis, that movie is the highway to the fucking Danger Zone

he said flick, not kino

The song is literally the best part of the movie. Everything else is shit.
