Why does the guy on the right look more intimidating if the left dude's body is clearly more ideal for someone who trains in a combat sport?

If you ask the average person he would say he's more afraid of the dude on the right yet that makes no sense.

the angles are different so we cannot really compare sizes.. the guy on the right has more fat but he may also have more muscle.. he has more weight overall and a good muscle mass. I think it makes sense to think he is more able to kick your ass than the skinny guy on the left

Is that ice posideon on the left?

>I think it makes sense to think he is more able to kick your ass than the skinny guy on the left
You see this is what I dont understand. Why are people conditioned to think this way? If you looked at all the big names in mma, muay thai, boxing, kickboxing etc out there, they'd have a body type more similar to the skinny dude.

no, some guy from college

Bulk = Hulk

Since we only have pictures and no background or details on the 2 people, it's natural to think the bigger guy is more capable. If you tell me the guy on the left is a trained martial artist and the guy on the right is just a fat muscle-y redneck then I would think the guy on the left is the most capable of kicking my ass.

Implying real life is a sport.

The dude on the right looks like he crushes skull. The dude on the left looks like he's in gay porn.

Someone who outweighs you and has the same muscle mass is more capable than kicking your ass. (with no training involved)
