Yes, you can. There are no orgies, there is no place of full pleasure and wild fucking and there are no (serious) secret occult sex rituals. All this stuff is a red herring essentially. Kubrick's theme is the illusion of this in peoples/mens minds - the male gaze. Cruise is step by step breaking down the walls of ideology surrounding him and when he could end up with a chaotic carnal universe he instead finds the love of his woman. Kubrick is saying fuck you to people thinking they could rise up and become part of secret sex clubs. It's a strangely optimistic movie although we have seen freeing themselves (Clockwork Orange) and breaking the circle (Shining) before. He is not interested in ghosts, monsters or sex but in the way people think. Most obscure interpretations seem to forget that.
