code geass
samurai champloo
berserk 97

Seinfeld
Cory in the house

Paranoia Agent
Space*Dandy
The rest you either already know about or it is trash.

The correct answer is Full Metal Alchemist
Not Brotherhood

Redline

Cowboy Bebop
The Tatami Galaxy
Space Dandy
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Dennou Coil

Kys

Anything from Hayao Miyazaki, Mamoru Oshii, Satoshi Kon, Katsuiro Otomo.
Look up for anthology films like Memories, Neo Tokyo, Robot Carnival.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes and nothing else

those are all good shows

One Punch Man
The only anime you will ever need when it comes to powerlevel discussions.

kYs

>brofist
this guy gets it

None you child rejected from Sup Forums. Even the so-called "great" ones do not so much as graze the aesthetic and philosophical heights of cinema and literature. It's a trash genre made for East Asian teenagers and white manchildren with short attention spans.

That doesn't make it good tho, i mean,it's funny and all but it's not that good.

Yu-yu hakusho

Literally nothing else

Millennium Actress, Only Yesterday, and Nausicaa are my favorites.

All films.

What you got against Hunter ?

These

Redline is the shit man.

...

>movies have been stealing from Perfect blue for years
>m-muh superior intellectual kinocinema

Rertards like you is the reasons animation is stuck with children entertainment in America.

Mob psycho 100
Akira
The films of satoshi kon
Kill la kill
All pretty entry level, yet still good

Hunter X Hunter will break your heart

>perfect blue is his example

Cartoons truly are for children of all ages

Little Witch Academy
Ping Pong the animation

Ghost in the Shell
Akira
Spirited Away
Neon Genesis Evangelion + The End of Evangelion
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

mezzo forte
kite
ghost in the shell

>ping pong
Nothing gets me more hype than that intro aomg

You are calling hollywood directors children? I'm okay with that.

No, shut the fuck up and go back to Sup Forums and get some taste faggot

>what r some good animes Sup Forums?
>entry level dogshit you can find on google by searching Sup Forumseddit starter pleb pack
oh boy

k

>SERGIU NICOLAESCU - anything
you really are a pleb are you ?

Enlighten us great patrician

Yes. Why else do you think was posted you low IQ pleb

Speed Racer is the only animekino you need.

>#gg

Should be changed to ""moviegate"" considering recent events.

its so perfect

Gungrave is so underrated.

Greatest art style, fluid animation, incredible ost, balls to the wall action with no holds barred. I knew they didn't give a fuck when JP spin skipped the transam across the lake

Samurai Champloo
The Seven Deadly Sins
Sword Art Online

As long as you say animation is on the same level as moderm films i'm okay with that. The old-movies are better than the modern-movies is another discussion that has nothing to do with this thread. Why don't you make your own thread user?

Pleb

>Anime
you're on the wrong board weeb shit.

LoGH
From the New World
Kaiji
Millennium Actress
K-On

all anime is pleb you contrarian faggot

Sword Art Online is godawful and I felt stupider having watched it
It's literally edgy wannabe emo kid: the anime

>Code Gay Ass

33% shit taste.

Modern movies sure, but film is still ahead of these YA tier cartoons you plebs praise.

youtube.com/watch?v=NtwCd7SJaa8

I'm feeling generous today. Check out this animé kino.

CG is pretty good though.

You can try and hide the fact that you have shit taste however you want friendo.

>he thinks he has good taste for not liking popular anime

This

>just finished watching end of evangelion & berserk -97
>feel emotionally dried

My mind is fucked for days now, fuck you Griffith

>Ledouche of the Rebellion
>bad

It gets there don't get me wrong but only in the second season. Even then you won't be able to look away, it's like a trainwreck, you can't stop watching.

Popularity has nothing to do with it. I like HxH and OPM but the anime you listed is just bad

Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Death Note
Rurouni Kenshin
Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

These are what I'd reccomend.

>second season
>bad

Naruto minus filler and Hunter X Hunter are unironically the only anime shows worth checking out.

>letting Sup Forums decide your opinions
cool

Let me explain to you about anime

There are several tiers of anime fan. WOAH TOTALLY DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH DIFF OPINIONS MIND BLOWN

You have the casual Sup Forums anime watcher, who only watch what I term 'the newfag pool' and think they are the greatest anime ever, then call everything else shit. This group generally watches less than 15 series.

You have the casual anime forum watcher who watches a large range of absolute garbage, including the newfag pool and thinks it's all the greatest shit ever. This group generally watches less than 50 series

Finally, you have the actual anime fan. They watch a wide range of series and genres and generally enjoy the medium while understanding its flaws. They are generally unimpressed after the 100 series point regarding the newfag pool, as they have found better.

For reference, the newfag pool is generally as follows (series do get switched out as the old favorites get forgotten): NGE, Berserk, JoJo, SAO, Attack on Titan, any Kon movie, any GitS series or movie, any edgy 80s/90s gore OVA, Gundam SEED, Kenshin, FMA, Geass, Angel's Egg, Stein's Gate, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Planetes, TTGL, Kill la Kill, Death Note, Ping Pong

Basically anything Sup Forums likes, because Sup Forums has AWFUL taste in anime. A W F U L

Again, make another thread. We don't care to hear you list the differences between cinema, film, movie, flick, kino and wathever other ridicolous definition you come up with.

monogatari
mononoke medicine seller

>guys look i'm an anime patrician

LoGH. Your verdict ?

I don't even browse Sup Forums. I don't watch waifu bait shows. I have seen the shows you listed and they are poor in quality. Try Mononoke or Shigurui.

>we
You are not part of this board

This is a fact

...

its shit. 100 episodes of snore inducing babby politics featuring flat characters, "genius" strategic decisions, recycled animations. Weebs love it because its a speck smarter than average harem show about cute girls showing their panties

samurai champloo really isn't any different from HxH, and it's better than OPM

>Wrestling
My tiny sides.

Wow, you're a fucking pleb. Never let anyone tell you different.

tfw uve spoken to real ppl who rlly believe this kinda shit and they have jobs and people who love them and u have nothing... he rlly explained essentially this to me. between playing league of legends and sitting down to dinner with his loved ones after work ;-;

"We" as people in this thread. I'm surprised, why haven't you made another thread yet? This is "your" board so people will like your thread more. Oh wait they don't, nobody likes that stupid idea "let's call movies by different names to seems smarter". You sure are a part of this board: the part nobody likes.

>over reliance on expository dialogues for both plot and themes (telling rather than showing, the worst sin in audiovisual storytelling)
>predictable plot conveniences and melodramatic bullshit (examples from the beginning: Jean Robert being sent on a fleet that you know is doomed to be destroyed, the fleet commander getting hurt right after the protagonist wishes he could take command in his place, etc.)
>2-dimensional battle tactics obviously inspired by naval warfare despite being set in space, how are you supposed to take the characters seriously as master tacticians when they don't understand their battlefield's rules?

Was recommended to watch this because it was supposed to be good and different, not unlike "epic" literature or "quality" TV such as The Wire. Turns out it's still trash. Trash with somewhat interesting ambitions and potential, but doomed by incompetence typical of a worthless medium for emotionally stunted and intellectually challenged teenagers.

Congratulations to all the tasteless masochists who have watched 110 episodes of this tripe while you could have instead watched something worthwhile like filmographies of respected arthouse filmmakers.

Prove me wrong.

>We
Once again you are not part of this board. Artist, directors, scholars and actors recognize the differences yet the children of pleb culture refuse to believe it. Why? Who are the true cinephiles supposed to believe here?

Now I know you're trolling me

Ping Pong. Don't let the artwork turn you off. Great story and characters.

>look at me guys ! I have a crippling inferiority complex so I'm going to act arrogant in an attempt to make myself look better than you !

Seriously though - what a genuinely hollow and exaggeratedly cynical "review". I don't even truly believe you've watched the entire show hence your only reference being to the second (?) episode.

Don't even bother replying to me because you won't get another (You) in return. People like you are unfathomably irritable and would never speak as such out of the contexts of this website. Hope you enjoy the rest of your bitter insignificant existence.

This is the best and only worthwhile anime to come in the last 5 and half years.

youtube.com/watch?v=lXiemb_MWjY

>season two never

Fuck gooks

Once again go make your own thread. People in the industry have something that is called respect. They show respect for great cinema from the past. But that doesn't mean a Fellini or a Kurosawa couldn't born in this year and age.

Here are my personal recommendations:

Hellsing
Ichi The Killer
Akira
Berserk
Fist of the North Star
Ninja Scroll
Sword of the Stranger
Ghost in the Shell
Cowboy Bebop
Neon Evangelion
Grave of the fireflies
Spirited Away
Perfect Blue
Blood: The last vampire
Appleseed
Barefoot Gen
Demon City Shinjuku
Vampire Hunter D
Violence Jack

You have 5 seconds to name a more kino anime than Outlaw Star

Pro Tip:You Can't

naruto

>Fellini and Kurosawa are is examples of excellent filmmakers of years gone
This just keeps getting worse and worse

Actually scratch blood:tlv from that list.

That one fucking sucked.

The fact that you put on a pedestal filmakers who described normal everyday life only show that you have no real life experience, not that your taste is better than others. Fellini and Kurosawa took the whole advantage of their medium without cutting their own means to applease the licterature crowd.

Are you happy now that i talked to you? Can you leave now since you are not interested in the thread discussion?

ping pong is also a very good and recent anime
but this looks good too

I think anime is difficult to "get into" if you are already in your 20's

It's great when youre a young teenager and havent been completely desensitized by the internet, gore, porn etc..

Anime was many teens first contact with extreme violence, sex, etc

Personally I can imagine watching anime and appreciating it way more if you got into it at an earlier age. It feels comfy and you understand the significance of it.

if you watch it for the first time as a pseudo cultured, mature, fedora tipping autist, you'll probably not enjoy it. and you'll probably already be way too desensitized by life.

you are a faggot

what are some cute gurls doing cute thing animes, Sup Forums?

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

It's really good would totally recommend to anyone that wants to watch a slow burn with really strong mundane shit. You should watch this show.

anime is just dumb entertainment, nothing more.

youtube.com/watch?v=yYJ618HckG0

here you go. 7 hours of anime recommendations sorted into subgenre

I've seen a bunch that I agreed with in this thread, but truly nothing is as patrician as ping pong.
If you stick with it through the odd animation and subject matter, you'll find the best anime you've ever seen.

Animal Detective Kiruminzoo
