>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
Kill them all
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Kill them all

Pros
>improved literacy rate
>building of roads, hospitals, schools
>developing primary market

Cons
>humans were not meant for communism, we are greedy by nature

the last 10 years of communism = shit
before that it was super comfy

pros: gets rid of kulaks

cons:

Communism is based

Too many amerilards fall for the free market trickle down economics meme and vote against their best interests

Like the yanks and more-or-less the scandis we had an effective campaign by the conservative government, religious leaders and the right wing trade unions to keep commies out of public life.
It still affects how left wing politics works here, kids have a tendency to be less sovietboo than in other places.

>we are greedy by nature

guess who told you that

So based you're living in a capitalist democracy. I hear Caracas is nice this time of year.

One of the means for enriching us.
By democratically adopting it, we realized a truly rich society.

All those top three are literally done better in any western country that are all capitalists than the failures that were commie states.

They make for good helicopter material.

fascists make good pinatas

Actual commies? Retarded fuckheads, don't have any place in civilized politics. General opinion largely agrees, though the older crowd views anyone who's left of Reagan as "Commie-lite", or at least akin to a pinko.

Free healthcare, university, etc....ain't free.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
These people need to grow up.
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Soviet nostalgists who manage to do nothing when elected.

I've heard that true communism was never actually done, and never will be possible due to our nature as humans. As in things like corruption, famimi ties, ect and all those stuff. And it also said true democracy cannot exist for the same reason above. Is this true?

>famimi
Dammit I meant family

They aren't, they're subsidized to be cheaper by the government in all developed countries (barring places like Spain where it's actually free). Even then, there's exceptions like the U.K., US, Australia, Canada etc

Oppa, I think it might work a bit better if the political culture isn't tainted by things like filial piety and clannish ideology that lead to nepotism.
Too bad those are basic features of human society.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
entirely positive
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
mostly positive apparently

rt.com/politics/340158-most-russians-regret-ussr-has/

Kill them all, too much blood and resources have been lost from the 40's all the way to late 80's due to gommies.

So, you mean people should act reasonably. Ok.
Also
>oppa
>expecting me to believe there are girls in Sup Forums
Nice try

>So, you mean people should act reasonably.
If your dad's a piece of shit, you shouldn't give him a position of power. I think that's reasonable.

Stockholm syndrome

This man speaks the truth.
If Communist revolution is inevitable, what's the incentive for a Communist state to launch unprovoked wars?

It also worked fine for the apathetic majority. When most people have their basic needs met, they don't really care about freedoms.

>all these people ITT who are going to be put up against the wall

or maybe the life there wasn't actually as bad as your w*stern propaganda says you greasy amerishart

Communists gave people work, shelter and food. I would unironically prefer having the government to take care of me in exchange for personal freedom because nowadays everyone has to take care of himself and that's hard to do.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
very good
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
not so good, although it's more apathy than hatred

You have a point, Suomi-bro. T.bh I am surprised that Finland resisted communism being next door.

Easy with the name calling Vadim..That wasn't an insult. I just can't see how modern day Russians can see the USSR as a better time. If it boils down to "having all things met" by the govt, then it seems lazy on their part. Not everything here is utopian either, self-reliance is a big part of our culture.
You sound exactly like the 15-20 year old antifa here.
>take care of himself and that's hard to do.
Yeah life's hard. Deal with it.

Being next door and having better access to their society convinced many of us that we want none of that.

Killing Communists is the most American thing to do. Now fuck off back to heftylol. Your ideology is nothing but a constant disaster, fucking nobody can get it to work. Either it collapses on itself or the countries go fuck it and transition back to capitalism. Board the nearest chopper and jump off my man.

>Yeah life's hard
Well it shouldn't be. In the USSr the government used to give hard working people apartments for free. Nowadays it's virtually impossible to buy an apartment. And it's hard to find a job while back in the day everybody had a job.
I'm willing to trade the free market and the freedom of speech for social guarantees and government support.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
Some of its ideological foundations may sound appealing at first but it always invariably warps into atrocious, evil piece of turd.
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Majority associates it with misery and oppression.
A minority, especially among the poor people, don't care about the oppression and miss the state giving their lives base comfort.

Yeah, and they weren't strictly 'communists' very much, as well as 'USSR' de-facto wasn't Soviet (at least since Stalin's abolishing of workers'-peasants' 'soviets' as governing organs) nor it was that Socialistic. Work, shelter, barracks and a piece of bread, DPRK-level advancements in civilian goods production, civil services and you name it what else. Be honest - in the end you want you fat mama commie government take care of you big sissy boy 'cause you worth nothing.

Good answer, I didn't know that

>Pros:
Can turn absolute destitute backwards hellholes into semi-livable shitholes

>Cons:
Doesn't work will either eventually collapse (Yugoslavia, USSR) or just give up and become capitalist (China, Vietnam).

Simo and Mannerheim would be proud. Glad you fought off that cancer.

>you want you fat mama commie government take care of you big sissy boy 'cause you worth nothing
Yes and I'm not denying that. I don't need freedom because I don't know what to do with it. I would be pretty happy with a government approved job and piece of bread it gives me because it's better than what I can have nowadays. "Bread and circuses" - the circuses being the space exploration.

Also don't forget Cuba. They are starting to legalize private business and private propery again.

cbc.ca/beta/news/world/cuba-capitalism-economy-entrepreneur-socialist-communist-1.3509852

bigstory.ap.org/article/a7038453c4234c1eb3bb026a355245d4/cuba-legalize-small-and-medium-sized-private-businesses

Marx is such a charlatan.

Space exploration, if only... IMHO it doesn't work anymore for both western and eastern regimes (OK maybe it still counts for India and China). Seems like 'war with the terrorists' is our new space exploration, where the money and political dick-waving goes.

>Cons
can turn honorable empires into degenerate starving shitholes

Also the Chinese and Vietnamese are unironically some of the most pro-capitalist.

money.cnn.com/2014/10/13/news/economy/capitalism-china-likes-more-than-us/

qz.com/394732/vietnam-overrun-by-communists-40-years-ago-is-now-the-no-1-fan-of-capitalism-on-the-planet/

When Deng Xiaoping began adopting capitalism through reforms starting in the late 70s, he got more than 500 million people out of poverty.

Vietnam got thirty million Vietnamese out of poverty with Doi Moi in the late 80s.

This man is literally the hero of China. Not the disaster that was Mao. By simply dropping the failed socialism meme and allowing private companies and private property again, China was catapulted to the economic superpower it is today.

One of the greatest economic and political geniuses of the 20th century imho.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
May have some logical ground, but overall too early to implement.
I think with technological/social developments all goods will belong to everyone. For example if there will be invented a device that unifies all human minds - instead of 7 billion monkeys we'll become a single conscious organism, a new type of human civilization - why would we care about personal goods after that?

>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Everyone who knows history understands it's a meme. Too sad that not many people here know it :^)

I never knew my great-grandpa and grandpa because of that mess. I hope it never happens again.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
That it's a nice thought, but impossible to implement and maintain without a totalitarian state.
Just like alot of people in this thread mentions, ambition is a part of our nature.
Personaly, I have never met a communist IRL that hasn't envisioned themself playing an important role in this new system, that would elevate their status from where they are in the current one. I would say that communisms greatist flaw, is the extreme sense of collectivism it harbours. It practicly hinders all forms of social mobility, while aiming to erase any sense of individual identity.
>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
That it is utterly unnecessary, seeing that our country is 94% middle class.

Norway is capitalist right? Just capitalism with a huge welfare state and social security net to go with it?

>honorable empire
lel. even in petrograd people were starving back then. nice empire

You know, many Chinese have rather positive opinion about Putin - they think that he is like Russian Version of their Xiaoping. All I can say about it is
Ha
Ha
Ha
no he isn't.
>it's a meme
Yup, and a quite psychotic one.

Meme for faggots at liberal arts colleges
Meme for faggots at liberal arts colleges

Free market with a good social security net and universal healthcare aka Switzerland and Australia is the GOAT system.

>honorable empires

>94% middle class
One of my colleagues from Norway said that the country possesses something like "innate socialism" - at first they were all poor, and then they all suddenly became rather rich (gas and stuff). So I guess for you people things like social equality should be quite natural.

After WW2, we looked both to the east, and the west, trying to combine the best from both capitalism and communism.
What we ended up with was social democracy and state capitalism.
But we are essentialy free market capitalists, yes.

>"innate socialism"
Well, kind of. And we do have social equality. The problem with communism, as that if we also had socioeconimic equality, our country would no longer be a meritocracy, destroying all incentive to work hard and being innovative.

That pretty much goes for all of Scandinavia though. This is one of the pillars in the Scandinavian attitude: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_Jante

>opinion on communism

My opinion is that every developed country is capitalist. All the richest and most prosperous economies are capitalist.

All Nordic countries are capitalist. Sweden which is the poster-child for a successful "socialist" country:

>Approximately 90% of all resources and companies are privately owned, with a minority of 5% owned by the state and another 5% operating as either consumer or producer cooperatives.[19]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Sweden

The worker co-ops are the workers owning the means of production aka socialism. The vast majority of the methods of production are privately owned for private profit aka capitalism.

When people bring up Nordic countries are successful examples of socialism I cannot facepalm harder. They are really advocating for capitalism with a huge welfare state to go with it which is what Nordic countries are. To abolish private business and private property is economic suicide.

It makes me chuckle because Marx would argue that because these countries are still capitalist, the workers over there are being "exploited" when in fact they have the best living standards in the world.

How do the rich in Norway live? Do they drive around sports cars or are they much more modest with their wealth?

I guess it's common to drive around in sports cars, and go around in a medium sized yatch if you are rich in Norway.
But running around town and flashing your wealth is mostly seen as distastefull, and you would generally be shunned for doing so.
However, if you are REALLY into cars, you would eventually afford an ok sports car with a normal salary. So driving a sports car isn't seen upon as showing off your wealth.

You can afford something like a Ferrari with a regular salary?

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
The biggest swindle of the 20th Century.

>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Our "intellectuals" are working harder and harder to implement this on a basic level, making life hell for capitalists, teaching nothing but marxist bullshit in the universities and making people generally more dependant on the state for their basic needs.
The population, per se, doesn't give a shit who is in charge as long as they have food in their tables and some fun in the weekends.

meant to quote

If you buy secound hand, yes. You might need 2-5 years to save up for one though, depending on your salary, and the Ferrari.

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?
Who the fuck tought it was a good idea to give all the responsibility of improving infrastructure to a handful of oligarchs and generals when a bunch of business owners can do a much better job at it.

>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?
Kill them all tbqh

>Sweden which is the poster-child for a successful "socialist" country
I think Denmark is the more common example given.

The workers are the people who matter in the society. Anyone who isn't a worker or aspiring to be a worker should get fucked over by the workers. That's what I think. Don't know anything about communism in this country.

>handful of oligarchs
More or less inherent to all governing systems regardless of their supposed left-ish or right-ish agenda. Take my 'capitalistic' country as an example, where a 'handful of oligarchs' controls pretty much all serious business companies, mass media giants, etc.

It's incredible that the only argument pro-communism today boils down to "can't be much worse than what we have to day".

Outside of europe sweden is definitely the posterchild. My guess would be that its because its the easiest scandanivian country to migrate to if you are from outside europe (even before all of the migrant crisis happened)

You and i both m8.
Unfortuanetly culling rich family's every decade or so is required if you want to keep being an actual democracy.
Either that or frequent market crashes

Man, I have to call BS on that.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_income#Gallup_gross_median_household_income

That's median household income by country. Unless it's an old model and used, then I might see it happening.

Communism is loser's choice.
Communism works if human was robots.

It's retarded.

Only leftypol retards who come here shill this failed ideology.

we don't have a static nature apart from the same as any other animal, don't give us that shit. It's just a buzz phrase used by retards. Cultural and societal specifics are not the nature of a species.

We eat, we reproduce and we have this form; that is the only absolute nature that we have. There are specifics on how our brains work but they don't constitute inevitable greediness, greediness itself is a relative and developing concept.

It seems like a solid idea except when you read the Communist Manifesto and see it's meant to be some kind of autistic simplified class battle.

I believe the best way of doing things is to be transparent and constantly refine everything in a statistical, factual and automated fashion. Systems need to adjust to societal climates and to the universe. Through this we get the optimal - constantly changing - system.

One thing is clear however; capitalism is absolute cancer, has stagnated our species, doesn't work very well at all- especially in the present-day and might be our eventual end. At the very least base socialism is a good start.

>Who the fuck tought it was a good idea to give all the responsibility of improving infrastructure to a handful of oligarchs and generals when a bunch of business owners can do a much better job at it.
Might want to learn what communism (and socialism) is, mate. There are no oligarchs, business owners, generals, officials or anyone of the sort in a communist society.

I forgot to mention that House loans, and car loans are very cheap in Norway.
They usually only require that you have about 15-20% the amount you're borrowing, and car loans tend to have around 5% effective annual interest rates that are paid down in 10 years.
So in terms of saving, you could compare it to buying a very small house.

>in MY version of gommunism, EVERYBODY is equal.

Dont teach me about communism you first world island shit, its always these new world countries that live far far away from actual communist countries.Im sure it must look fucking swell from a distance, far far away where no one is trying to kill you for ideological fanaticism.
Go to tel-abyad and see how your ''''comrades''''' are doing

Would you really argue that ambition is not an inherent part of being human?

>5% mortgage rates
Oh my, it's 10 to 15% in our case, and relatively modest (~50 m2) apartment not in some shithole suburbs (about 40-50 minutes walk from the city center) costs as much as my 7-year salary. And the salary is slightly above official industrial average in the area. And it's not even Moscow or StPetersburg.

i would definitely argue against it.
Its what sets the difference between 1st and 2nd world countries.
Plenty of people want to do absolutely nothing with their lives and just survive until the day they die

5% is for car loans.
House loans for low risk custumers are can be as low as under 2,5% effective annualy.

My impression is that whoever you are, you want just a little more than what you got.
When I mean "ambition", I'm not necesserily talking about being rich.

>capitalism is such a failure!

Top jej you retarded faggot. Capitalism has the least flaws of all economic systems. Abolishing private business and property is economic suicide and leads to stagnation, which is why socialist countries all collapse on themselves or go back to capitalism.

And capitalism is such a good system because it's so malleable and adept at changing and evolving with changing and evolving times.

Socialism isn't, which is why what I said in the above posts happens.

You don't even know who a "kulak" is you amerishart imbecile.
Asking western faggots to share their opinion on the political ideology they didn't have "pleasure" to live under is retarded.
Of course they're gonna praise it, becuase they didn't have to face the terror of it.

The only thing I regret is that the WWIII didn't broke out, so we could bring this grest ideology to the rest of the world and you would suffer as much as Poland did, you fucking treacherous apes.

>365+ thousands of active soldiers

>What is your honest opinion of Communism?

Communism is good and the only way forward for sustainable and equal future.

>What is the general opinion of Communism in your country?

There are some old commies left but most people are just for some flavor of social democracy. Shame that third way neoliberals are in power these days.

Chinese have always been quite good capitalists, Russians aren't. They just don't have it in them.

After commie coup in 1948, that murderous bastard Gottwald killed everyone who didn't want to be commies (ie. the vast majority of Czechoslovakia's population) along with all war heroes and patriots. He then killed other commies whom he disagreed with, and as his brain started rotting from alcohol and syphilis, he got more and more paranoid and killed more and more people.

Anyone who own a farm over 5 acres in size or a business was also eliminated as enemies of the working class (they hired people and gave them jobs?) and anyone who listen to jazz or other Western music also get v&. Then Gottwald died and Novotny continues more depressing Stalinism until liberal period in 1960s which was too much for greatest liberator so he decided to "liberate" us in 1968. Then we have more dreary Stalinism until commies get overthrown in 1989.

We had world class industries in 1930s, by 1989 they were totally ruined and we were producing garbage unsellable products. Czechoslovakia GDP in 1989 was about 300 USD above 1938 GDP when Italy and West Germany 1989 GDP was 5000 USD higher than 1938.

The food in commie era was also trash and people get sick from eating it. My mother visited cheese factory in 80s and said she almost puked from the smell. Western countries end up sending us pity food handouts mostly consisting of garbage they wouldn't eat themselves.

Norway actually does have quite a bit of government economic management and nanny state policies, so they're not really the best example of lassie-faire capitalism.

You're stupid because nobody implied Norway was laissez-faire capitalism. It is capitalist though.

Go tell the Norwegians that they ought to seize the means of the production and become socialists.

I think GAS THE BANKERS, CLASS WAR NOW

fuck communists
if there is a type of people I would take arms to kill off, that would be oldschool bolsheviks
modern commies are all pussies though, 'cept for the latin boys

...

>garbage unsellable products
Well, the lab equipment from eastern soviet block (incl. GDR, Hungary, Czech) was quite good - to the point that some of it is still alive and functions. I think it's common sense (at least according to the older generation) that the quality of other goods produced in eastern europe was somehow better than of those made in USSR. If you were producing 'garbage products', you can only imagine what was being made here at the time.

What really irritates me is that in my country now there's some kind of nostalgia for the soviet times. Something like this:
I mean, come on, for fuck's sake, do you honestly think that Soviet government gave any fuck about the common folk?

...

If you poor and have nothing, it's your best -ism
If you rich, this -ism is your natural born enemy
If you in the middle you fucked under any -ism

The vast majority of people questioned is 40-50 year old farts who were young back then and had little to worry about. It's not a viable measurement of anything.
