pretty much goatse whenever there are new inmates.

Worst I've seen so far is a guy slit his own throat. I was standing in front of his cell trying to talk him out of it. When he made the first cut I went in and tried to stop him. He just kept cutting. He died in the cell while I was trying to apply pressure

No desire to be a cop. I took this job because it was easy to get and pays decent. Once something better comes along I'm out, believe me

He had 3 years left. I don't know how his family reacted. He had a pretty long list of mental issues and I think he was just having a bad day

I'm 22 and I've been working for DOC for 2 years. If I had to work here until retirement I'd fucking kill myself

Retirement as a C/O sucks ass. I'd have to put in like 40 years to get a good retirement

Yeah, it's one of those jobs where now that they have you, they aren't going to let you go.

Pretty mixed actually. Mostly white, then black, then Hispanic. Not many Asians or sand people
