>Album is self-titled
>it's their final one
>Album is self-titled
>its a live album
>Album is a greatest hits comp.
>Doesn't mention it in the album title
>doing this
>Self titled EP
>Self titled fourth album
>s/t track on the s/t album repeats the s/t in the chorus
>comeback album
>it's self titled
>self titled track is also band's name
>band later changes their name to an album's name but that album is still under the band's previous name
DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS?
>greatest hits album has new song on it not available anywhere else
>album is half greatest hits half stuff we've never heard
Actually it's pretty dildos to do that
This
>comeback album
>called "comeback album"
>Calls it an EP
>38 minutes
>dildos
Is that a positive or negative connotation?
Good question
fucking Slowdive
>Calls it an EP
>2 and a half hours
God, I find this album artwork overwhelmingly repulsive. Almost as bad as that one Built to Spill album cover
I actually really like it.
built to spill have numerous terrible covers
you will have to be more specific
>album is named after a line in a song rather than one of the songs
Probably Ancient Melodies. They both look like they were whipped up in five minutes in microsoft powerpoint.
>album named [previous album] part 2
I actually like this
UNDER THE TABLE AND DREAMING
>album title isn't named after any of the songs or lines on the album
>Album is self titled
>It's their last concert right before retirement
Is there something like this?
>album doesn't seamlessly travel track to track
>song fades out
>band's debut is a self-titled album that's first track is self-titled
>band leader breaks up the band then names his new project after the final track on their final album
how about you fucking plebs name actual albums that do these instead of trying to force your unfunny shit memes
>Title of greatest hits compilation is a misspelled lyric from a song that's not on it
>American Football
well..whatever
Terrible artwork, pretty good album
wish it wasn't ruined for me
Black Sabbath
>Album has 3 deluxe editions and 4 different remasters on Spotify
@ groups who released non debut ST albums in 80's
Whitesnake
Heart
Everyone who listened to rock was missing LZ and Whitesnake delivered a song that was very Zeppelinesque. Complete with page like riffs and even a violin bow to guitar solo
youtube.com
>album title is in the lyrics of an album
>a featured rapper is the one who says it
This was only really a problem before digital distribution was a thing
What's wrong with that?
>First album is called "Greatest Hits" or "Best of"
Example?
>Greatest Hits album that contains 80% of their first album
>reminder that Creed has 4 studio albums
>they have two greatest hits albums
I'm not even on the "creed is the worst band ever," but that's fucking stupid.
literally the only reason to buy a greatest hits album desu
>band has multiple self titled albums
>Debut album is tilted Greatest Hits
>Title track
>Not the first or last track on the album
>album is named after lyrics from a song on their previous EP
It's too late to stop nowww
>Debut album is self titled
>Its their best one
Alien Ant Farm's first album is called Greatest Hits.
>B-Sides & Rarities Collection
>Called "B-Sides & Rarities"
Does anyone that's not Weezer do this?
Weezer name their albums like Pokemayns game. Literally "The [insert cover's color here] Album"
Fleetwood Mac did it
autechre tier :3
>has 5 volumes of albums called "B-Sides & Rarities Vol. x"
>6th b sides is called "Vol. 5.5 EP"
Periphery has 3 self titled albums I think.
...
i had a shirt with that logo in highschool
the one punk kid in the city called me a faggot for wearing it before i moved on to actual punk
made me so :(
On that subject
> Band name is a mashup of 1.5 band member names
Peter Gabriel
KNEE DEEP IN THE HOOPLA
>album has live verisions of each song
>track is titled 'Untitled'
>track is titled 'Untitled (*title*)'
>Track gets recorded but doesn't make it on the album
>Said track would have been the best track on the album
Wrong. They're literally titled Weezer.
Also, they have several albums that aren't self-titled.
>"bonus tracks" are just demo versions of album songs
>self-titled song
>it's on neither their debut and/or self-titled album
>Album is named after a song lyric from their previous album
Pearl Jam did a lot of this. I went on a PJ listening spree a few weeks ago and I listened to their b-sides album before realizing it was b-sides and thought it was one of their better albums.
>Self titled album is the worst in the artist's discography
...
>The Crystal Method
They're all slightly different, only one is truly self titled. The following ones are "Periphery II: This Time It's Personal" and "Periphery III: Select Difficulty".
Fucking terrible album names imo, but I like the songs.
...
>album's title is symbols
Zep IV is a god tier album, but fuck that shit
also Zep I is better anyway
Tindersticks
Red House Painters
Orbital
Royal Trux
Gilberto Gil
Caetano Veloso
Chicago has like 20 self titled albums
S L O W D I V E
Slowdive?
>all of a band's albums are untitled
>Album is named after an existing track that's not present in the album
Graveyard BBQ
Elliott Smith
Exactly who I was thinking of. And also Carcass
>album is self-titled but they accidentally misspelled it
Chino's the God tho
>Calls it a LP
>30 minutes
the room is on fire
>band has 3 self-titled albums all with different names
Remo Drive
>two albums a week apart
>both self titled
...
God damn right
>best song at the end of the album
I usually like this but
>it's the only song I actually like enough to want to hear often
Does metal have the most self-titled debuts with self-titled songs? I can think of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Angel Witch and Iced Earth.
