Not underrated. Widely respected.
Buddy Rich
OH ALSO JOHN BONHAM V UNDERRATED
Agreed. What's really amazing is how he handles songs Ween made using drum machine (aka physically impossible to play exactly the same)
Neil Peart is easily my favorite drummer. I feel like you could remove all Rush instruments and still enjoy his drumming as the song (not disrespecting Alex or Geddy). And off stage he's a super down to earth, smart guy.
nigga from CAN
who in this thread said he was underrated?
Between him and stuart copeland i think is the contest between top rock drummers. Vastly different styles but both genius.
Marco Minneman
Matt Garstka
Brann Dailor
He should've kept drumming, guitar playing is not his forte. But goddamn if he isn't a fucking monster on the drums.
Elvin Jones
Billy Cobham
th guy from The Meters
Joe Morello
the guy from The Bad Plus
Nice dubs
Stewart Copeland is my favorite musician, not just drummer.
My personal favorite drummers are John McEntire, Kevin Shea, Jack DeJohnette, and Jaki Leibzeit

Damon is great, the drums on Don Cab 2 are some of the best sounding drums on any rock record I've heard so far.
