Lets discuss the artist of the decade
No /grimes/ in catalog?

dead meme
If she'd spend half the time playing dress up on actually working on her music she might make a decent album one day.
Art Angels is a work of art
WTF, now Grimes is a writer too?
>started my novel, but my editor, @hanatruly - informs me that my first chapter needs more showing and less telling. too bad the people don't want a novel comprised entirely of fake facts about a fake universe. re read some good intros to double check and i guess its best to start w a plot. this is gonna be a dang endurance test if there ever was one and don't expect anything good for like 20-25 years
Yet it's alive... Grimes is here to stay.
Lame post. She already did 4 great albums in just 6 years and she's working on a 5th great album. She's a busy woman, playing dress up doesn't prevent her from working on new music.
>@unknownined it's annoying i know haha, but my albums take a long time to create because i don't buy songs/ hire producers/ writers or engineers. the majority of artists do, so they are able to release music faster. unfortunately it takes me longer because if there's a style i need to learn i just have to figure it out by trial and error, or if im stuck on a lyric or beat sometimes i have to start again. i think it leads to more original product though, and hopefully the fans are happier in the long run. that said, i am making a lot of music right now, but i also want to have more of a sonic theme to this album so i'm using less of the stuff i'm recording. in any case, ill try to be as swift as possible!
i used to get really annoyed at all these retarded grimes threads (her music is alright, but fuck off with this shit)
but now ive realised every grimes thread is really just a containment thread for all the most cancerous tripfags
this is a public service, youre all doing gods work
>her music is alright
Listen more to her music. You'll see that it's way more than just "alright".
go fuck a bag of glass
>being this mad
You already lost the argument, buddy.
elaborate
WEW
>Listen more to her music.
not interested
wasnt interested the first literally-500 times you asked me either
>not interested
Your loss. Her music is a legit grower.
then why are you here
right?
im guessing you listen to music while doing something else
You seem so shallow. You're not interested in listening to her music more than once and yet you're posting here. Why?
>musician
>producer
>composer
>dancer
>director
>designer
and now, wwiter, is there anything she can't do?
be good at any of those
make decisions
He's here for his daily dose of (you)'s
She's also a dancer. She did ballet for 11 years.
Lame post.
He can't live without these (You)s, right?
so funny
great music discussion
enunciate
shes the equivalent of ppl calling themselves "entrepreneurs"
thats giving her to much credit, shes more like the equivalent to a pile of shit
Like a crack addict.

NO u
GREAT MUSIC DISCUSSION
She's a Renaissance woman.
shes got some catchy beats if u want discussion
heres yor you
Thanks. Btw artist discussion is allowed too.
>Discuss MUSIC, ARTISTS, and instruments here. All images should relate to the topic at hand.
damn i can't disagree with that
this isn't your free advertisement, fuck off user
>advertisement
user, I'm afraid you're confusing music and artist discussion with advertisement. There's no rule prohibiting discussion about this artist (that would be insane anyway). So, please get the fuck out of here.
i hate you
>now, wwiter
Old news, actually.
>Grimes is the multimedia project of Canadian artist Claire Boucher. She is best known for her work as a producer, singer and songwriter, although 'Grimes' also encompasses her work as a director, painter and WRITER.

You people just don't pay very close attention, apparently.
>to
"we people" don't give a flying shit about your self-deluded slut artist or her mental and facial retardation. tell me how much i care you fucking idiot
Lol
Tbh I'm very interested to see how/whether she incorporates any of the Roli tech into her live performance setup next time she goes on tour. The Seaboard Rise in particular is an amazingly expressive electronic musical instrument, and it's just waiting to be put to good use by someone like her in a live setting.
whats nsfw about "go fuck a bag of glass"?
>tell me how much i care
Enough to keep posting desu. And in the context of Sup Forums, that's all that matters.
it's not on topic. would something be getting to the point at all? nope. not in these threads
like what, discussing someone you don't like? You sound like a pissed off little baby user
I personally enjoy my life and have hope for my future, probably can't say the same for you though mr projector
>not talking about music on /mu
Although, on second thought, one big drawback is that most Roli controllers are dependent on an external computer to function. And given how much festival/open air style performing she tends to do, the logistics of that might be too impractical.
HAHA HE GOT BANNED
i bet its the same person, the little faggot doesn't know when to quit
Not really, there are lots of acts relying on laptops and towers and I'm seeing more of it in even small, local acts so the logistics isn't really a problem.
How am i projecting? You're projecting by saying im projecting. I should post exhibit memes at this point
here, have a clown porn
Did you change IPs? If not stop pretending to be him fag
this is why i lost hope. im done pretending. it's best if you leave. i don't want to start posting dirt
BUY ART ANGELS TODAY YOU PIECE OF SHIT
TELL ME IM PRETTY
But not so much big acts (which is where she is currently oriented.) Hence her push in recent years to be less absorbed with pushing buttons and more engaged in interaction with the audience. I don't really see introducing a whole new computer-controlled system just waiting to have technical difficulties fitting into that equation. Although I'd hope to be proved wrong about that (I recently purchased a used Seaboard, and the expressive control it gives you is phenomenal. Imo it's truly a game-changer in terms of bridging the gap between electronic keyboard-based instruments and all the rest.)
>Visions last
Sad.
used?
I think she added that recently. She keeps updating her profile descriptions on IG/Tw/FB quite often.
That would be cool.
