Thanks for the help fuckers

Price range faggot

$1000-$1500

...

Ok do you like amd or intel

Intel

Well compadre, whats your budget? (and what currency)
I assume you dont need monitor or any peripherals?
Whats the most demanding game you are playing?

You should get a gtx 1070 or 1080. I5 cpu. Make sure the motherboard works with Intel processors then get the simple shit like ram, psu, and hard drive and you're done

AMD RX 380 (Branded)
H75 Corsair Water Cooler
MSI Z3 Motherboard
650W EVGA Gold PSU
16/8 G RAM HyperX

...

>U.S.
> $1500
>open world rpg, platformers, probably some fps. Emulators
Just the pc. I'll deal with monitors later.

ha ha.....ha ha ha.........ha ha ha ha ha....Ha ha ha ha ha ....HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAH......Ahhhhhh!!!

I have three cats and a terrible fear of finding something like this one day.

If you want the mechanical look but not the sound

i5 will get you there, i7 will give you a little bump, but you gotta work out if it's worth the $100 or so extra bucks. The general consensus is that it's not, spend that on a better SSD, but to each his own.

If you're going to splurge, go big or go home right?

Motherboard, Gigabyte or ASRock, ASUS is acceptable, I've noticed a quality decrease in MSI boards, this is coming from someone who ran MSI exclusively for 10 years.

I've only loosely kept up with hardware more recently, look at:
-Kaby Lake I5 or I5 k version for overclocking, appropriate motherboard such as Z270 series (albeit that is overkill for stock standard build)
-rx 480 or gtx 1060. 1070 and 1080 are overkill for 1080p.
-8gb ddr3 or ddr4 ram (whatever your motherboard supports)
-80+ bronze rated 550W psu
-D15 aftermarket cooling fan (not necessary though as it is mainly for overclocking)
-cheap primary ssd such as Samsung Evo 250gb
-storage drive such as 2tb Seagate Barracuda,
-a wifi card if necessary (not so important)
-dont forget windows

and a case of your choosing of course!

get a 1070 and i5 7600k with suitable components.

...

the 1070 isn't remotely overkill for 1080p

Okay
CPU: I5-6600k
GPU: GTX 1060 or 1070
PSU(powersupplie): 450 to 500 watts
Motherboard: dont care. just be carefull that the socket is the right one for your CPU.
This I5-6600k needs a 1151 socket.
RAM: 8-16gb (doesnt matter if you use 4x4gb or 2x8gb)
Than a harddrive which you can get from your old rig.
Case: doesnt matter
CPU cooler: again just look if you got the right socket.

I should have been more precise. For his use, it is.

wtf dude
what thats above your CPU?
never seen a cooler like this before

Pretty sure it's one of the Noctua coolers, they're supposed to be pretty beast for air cooling, expensive though, about the same as a self contained water cooler.

Here op this is a pretty solid build
pcpartpicker.com/list/TL8rWX

It's a Noctua D14. Does a great job, would have gone for a D15 however the case I got was 1mm too narrow for the D15. It's the same thing though really. I need the bastard because I've got a 4690k overclocked to 4.7ghz and underneath a dual gpu card R9 295X2 so it generates a tonne of heat.

AMD FX 9590
ROG Crosshair X Formula Z mobo
Corsair 16GB 1866mhz DDR3
Sapphire R9 270x graphics card
Corsair H90 water cooling
120gb Samsung evo SSD
2 x 2Tb HD
2 x 500gb HD
750w PSU
Line 6 Pod sound card
ESI near08 monitor speakers
37" LG HDTV
22" HP monitor in portrait mode.

What 2 months the new stuff will be out and price goes lower.

1080p at 144fps shouldn't be hard to do.
Lowest you should buy is a GTX 1060 which will run all of your games maxxed out or mostly maxxed at 1080p at 120fps+.

Make sure you get a nice monitor like a 144hz BenQ or something. It's the biggest night and day difference since SSDs.

As for the other hardware, i5 660k or equivalent should be plenty of you're just doing gaming
16gb ram minimum. 850 Evo for a cheaper SSD.

> Op states he wants 144fps @ 1080p
> Nigger recommends a GTX 1070/1080

Don't listen to this absolute Dipshit

Is this your setup or is google, granted, the runescape is either very old or 07 scape

Don't build one OP, new technology comes out frequently, and you'll be left behind.
Follow my advice:
>don't build PC
>get toaster to post on/watch porn
>wait until the end of time
>when it's the end of time buy a great PC with all your autism savings
>????
>profit

Absolute dumbass
>Recommends aio water cooling

Thanks for the advice anons. Looks like I was going massively overkill for what I want.

>have a pepe

That looks great.
Stupid question: why does everyone want/buy evga?

>nobodys mentioned logicalincrements.com
god Sup Forums has gotten dumb

List the games you play while I make a build for you.

logicalincrements.com

>resident evil 7
>fallout 3-4
>mass effects
>hoping to play elite dangerous
>emulators: nes, snes
>elder scrolls
>halo
>Witcher 3
>dark souls
I know it's a pretty console heavy list.
