I actually don't disagree. Demon Days was amazing.

Quebec is probably my favorite actually. I haven't updated this chart in a bit.
Part of the appeal for it is also the nostalgia I have for the album.

...

I've always wondered if most people are a lot more miserable and lonilier than they let on. I've had a pretty isolated life even before I had mental problems but as an adult the things I've experience so far make me want to think the world really isn't sunshine and rainbows. I never thought that it was, but now with actual stuff to back up it stings a lot more when you realize that yes, this how it be. Then that get's me thinking about some of the people I would see growing up in the town I live in now where there was less poverty/spic shit and I wonder if they are really as happy as they seem. Like, it seems absolutely unbelievable to me that people have stable, loving families and friends and actual dreams n stuff. Life for me and most people I knew growing up didn't really jive w/ that.

either way

DOOD DO DO DOO DOOo

you got a good base. develop those traps, bis, tris, trans, mans, and hands and you'll be a regular alpha male

it's also weird to imagine gorillaz being someone's top album
like i really thoroughly enjoy gorillaz but at the same time none of their albums really struck me in that way

Did you always have a taste for Basketball American music or is that a recent development

always have

nice chart man!

Well, for me it's really hard for me to take an objective look at Demon Dayz. That album and to a bit of a lesser extent Illinoise, was my first real music purchase, and there is a certain level of nostalgia I hold for the album. I feel like my chart is sort of weird. There's music I appreciate, like Swans for example. I understand, in maybe a somewhat limited way, what value the Swans have and how people could really love their music, but it's not something I would personally listen too a lot. The music on my chart is more stuff I enjoy listening to over and over again, rather than something I know is good, but I don't listen too often. Sort of like how I love Citizen Kane for what it is, but my favorite movie is probably Young Frankenstein.

Not a bad chart but I disagree with Discovery. Why the fuck is that there

you're all wonderful people and I hope you have a good day

...

Finally, an op based enough to claim Demon Days as their favorite album. I'm seeing all that love/hate/hype every time Gorillaz coughs, and yet this board still acts like they lack the validity of a "proper" band, even though they participate.

Anyhow, you seem like a swell guy, I'd buy you a beer.

I don't listen to new content often. So these are the albums I listen to.

>Not a top 50
pls don't bully me :(

You should try listening to White Reaper-White Reaper does it again. I think you would really like it. Also maybe Lemon Jelly-Lost Horizons.

you too :)

Bumping with my girlfriend's chart. She's not really into music, but the music she does like, she loves passionately. Whatcha think, Sup Forums?
>mfw she introduced me to clipping and not the other way around
>Not because she's a thirsty girl into historical fiction laced screenplays
>This was legit back when midcity came out, she sat me down with an album stream like "These guys are kinda like death grips, I think you'd like them"
>I found one of the good ones

I've seen your chart before, I love your taste. I'd try to recommend you something, but I feel like your taste is final form af. Not to say that you won't find new stuff, but I don't have anything interesting to contribute. Props.

Nothing wrong with this chart. See , I agree with all their recs. Since you're a Gorillaz fan, maybe you'll appreciate some more turn of the century electronic music with hip hop influences: Moby-Play. Often overlooked because of how popular it was at the time, but nonetheless fantastic. You also seem to dig that singer songwriter thing, try Bjork and Regina Spector. Maybe Crospy, Stills, and Nash if you're in the mood for something a little more folky.

You like Digable Planets, cuz? How about The Pharcyde?

>This is the most civil chart thread I've been in wtf

i like M B V more than loveless
i really like this chart
have you listened to nervous young man or twin fantasy and what do you think about them

Have you listened to Wind's Poem? It's probably my favorite thing Phil has done, personally?

I could always appreciate recs for jazz rap or shoegaze/dream pop.

Surprisingly good taste for somebody who's not really into music. You should redpill her into shoegaze/dream pop.
>I like m b v more than Loveless

I mean, that's really fucking questionable, even Isn't Anything would make more sense but that doesn't matter, all My Bloody Valentine is great.
I must say though I'm not partial to your picks. I don't particularly like AnCo. Dunno why. Props for Congratulations, however.

all the charts in this thread are the fucking same garbage albums

You can't really be saying that with Burzum, KC, Endtroducing, ITAOTS, Black Saint, TVUN, The Glow, pt. 2, DG, Coltrane, Loveless, Resdients, etc on your chart. Most if not all of the more entry level shit on your chart was or is in my chart.

i respect all of their albums, and dont think m b v is a better piece of art, but the experimentalism thats taken even further is really nice, and to me its just more casually listenable because the break in intensity around the middle. also, only tomorrows first chorus and wonder 2 are beautiful.

bring it again

and by intensity i just mean my ears and brain just get a break from the constant reverb noise.

Before you tell me i'm a fag, I know.

>"all the charts in this thread are the fucking same garbage albums"
>Literally his all time favorite album is Trout Mask Replica
Yeah, maybe the people ITT have vaguely similar taste, but at least this isn't how we got into music:
Preperation:An internet connection, and about one year's time
Step one:Agree with albums Sup Forums has come to some concencus on
Step two:Fill the other 95 slots of my topster chart with obscure music I discovered through rym
Step three:Act holier than thou because I'm a special little snowflake now

>if I was a Sup Forumstant, this is probably about the time I'd imply that you should commit seppuku, desu, but I'm sure you mean well
>tl;dr lurk more

That's fair enough. I don't think anything will ever top Loveless for me personally, however. It's just so...perfect. The vacuum meme is true but they all blend so well.
You seem to like shoegaze. Have this chart. If you like Illmatic, listen to Ready to Die/Modal Soul.

From TVUN go on to White Light / White Heat/Self titled. If you liked Funeral I think you'd like Agaetis Byrjun. I dunno why. Though, Agaetis is a post-rock essential. My favorite post-rock album in fact. From Loveless go to Ceres & Calypso and Crystallize by Tokyo Shoegazer. From HoLV, obvious choice is Souvlaki. Basically take any of the shoegaze looking shit from my chart or pic related You seem pretty heterosexual to me. Good picks.

I'm I have listened to all those albums lmao except Tokyo Shoegazer. i'll take this chart though

>Know you're a fag
post dick w/ timestamp

Nothing wrong with your chart. You seem younger, based on some of the stuff you're into. Your tastes will broaden naturally.

Huh. Would have expected a lot of the shoegaze stuff to hit the top 50. I love TPoBPaH.

all the albums you recced, not the shoegaze beyond the entry level stuff. I'll check that stuff out, and I've been meaning to hear Ceres and Calypso

You will love Ceres & Calypso. Trust me. I did not go into it expecting it to make my #2, but here we are. Go into it expecting a dream pop Loveless.

thirty seconds in. I'm impressed

Thanks man.

yeah its an a+ album, if i have m b v up there i really should have loveless very close it.
and no i havent. i havent delved much into his mount eerie project just most of the microphones and a crow looked at me. ill check it out

nigga my jaw is dropped

I told you, nigga. I didn't go into it expecting it to be so good either.

For the record I'm a third party user just observing your shoegazi conversation. I looked up this album; I'm having about the same reaction. This album is delicious.

Is this bait?

4th party, i really enjoy this album as well i just wish it was recorded a bit different i always get grated on the ears with the high notes after a while

I'm glad I could introduce you all to good music. You faggots have a good night. Try out Going Blank Again by Ride next, or The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

Both of those are great, in particular Young Adult Friction is a fantastic song

I love twin fantasy, I forgot to put on my list I knew I was forgetting something! Favorite tracks: My boy, beach-life, famous prophets, and twin fantasy (those boys). Nervous Young Humans I haven't finished, but I like broken birds and jerks.

k ty for rec

>(You)
ty thanks for rec

holy shit is knife man Sup Forumscore? because I have seen three albums with it. It's my favorite album of all time.

desu nym gets better as it goes along, my favorites are gun song(which btw has different versions on bandcamp and spotify), i can play the piano, dreams fall hard, and jus' tired. also famous prophets i think is my favorite song of all time, just that whole ending last 4 minutes or so are just so mesmerizing and full of energy and emotion. every song has so much emotion behind it though which is why its my favorite.

its got a lot of hilarious and meaningful lines and is catchy and diverse and fun to listen to, it should be.

also he even says he had no intention on nym being listened to in one sitting and was just a collection of older songs he recorded.
