I'm not so sure. There's a reason why there are certifications specifically for surface mount soldering. A robot or wave soldering machine did all of it in an instant in spaces that are often smaller than the tip of the average soldering iron. Often, when I was practicing this type of soldering, I would either hold the iron on for a second too long and burn the component, or I would drag a bubble of solder across multiple connections as they are so tiny and close togehter. I doubt the average person even has the dexterity, let alone the experience, and certainly not a 15 year old who ripped them off to begin with.
